He does come out right away or when he says he will but he is too overpriced for small things. It shouldn't be $129 just to dismantle a small lock on a small file cabinet which he did very quickly. OMG being a real estate agent I CANNOT stress enough on the fact, how important it is for me to have perfect keys cut in one go every single time. These guys! Never failed me yet. AMAZING!!! After my super was not able to get my door open I called these guys - I was not disappointed. To start, they are very transparent. Before I hung up the phone he made sure I knew their prices and that I was ok with them. He said he would arrive between 30-45 minutes and was here in 20! What I really appreciated was that he made sure to try and pick my lock first rather than just destroy it because he didn't want me to spend more money than was necessary. He told me the cost and how long they would take to get here. It was very reasonably priced. The guy worked quickly and made sure to check my key to make sure it still worked after he picked my lock. Lost my car key so I needed to replace it. Tried to charge me a ridiculous amount. Lowered his price to $45 but didn't guaranty it would work. Called me 20min before normal closing hours (5pm) and said the key would not work and that my only option would be to get the $150 key. From initial contact to completion of the job, Tim and Jonathan were responsive to all my questions and concerns. My complex required a COI prior to commencement of any work, which they were able to supply in advance via e-mail. Once he arrived at my door (exactly at the specified appointment time), Tim skillfully rekeyed my lock quickly. Called A Thorough Locksmith due to a lost car key for a 2005 VW Golf. The staff is very friendly and professional. You can easily tell they knew what they were doing. I had a lot of questions before they started the process and they didn't hesitate to answer any of them. Their timing is reliable. The locksmith, Tim, was able to make a key for my car but unfortunately it was not able to start the car due to issues with programming it, BUT before he started the process they informed me that Volkswagens are tricky to deal with so I give them credit for that. He recommended that I should go to the dealership to get the key programmed and only charged me $50 for everything, which is a deal compared to dealership prices. Overall experience is 5 stars but it's only fair to give 4 since I was not able to leave when everything was done.
