I've used other pool companies and ended up having Rix come out afterwards to fix not only the mistakes the previous pool company did, but the initial problem. Suffice to say, I've learned my lesson and now I never go anywhere else. I let them open and close my pool for me but I maintain it myself during the pool season. They also offer a service to store my pool cover for the season which is nice being that it takes up a huge amount of room in my pool shed. They treat it with an anti fungal during it's storage which is nice. They also service the pool heater which is great because I usually have families of mice move into it during the Winter. If I ever need any extensive work done, they always do an outstanding job. Quality work too and I trust them to not rip me off. If I ever have a, "Pool Emergency" they come right out. Usually that day or early morning the next day. I know that I can always count on them to fix the problem. My only issue is that their pool chemicals are very expensive. For that I go to Leslie's for my chlorine and shock. Like a boat that is basically a large hole in the water that you throw money into, so is a pool. It's a large hole in the ground that you throw money into!

I tried every Do-It-Yourself method from checking the water at pool stores and dumping in whatever they sold me, to the Water-Guru WiFi gadget that never got my free chlorine above zero. With Pool Works they will come out on a regular rotation, and depending on what you need will apply the chemicals, adjust or repair equipment, and if needed will vacuum debris. And they are wonderful to work with. It doesn't get any better than this.

He changed the original prices in the contract even though he said nothing would change. Due to a problem he had with the electrician he fired, we had to pay additional money, well over $1,000 more for a new one. He made false promises of opening up our deck at cost so we could walk to the pool more easily. The worst part of the job was when he graded the yard. My yard was fairly flat. Now we have a pool that looks as if it's on a pedestal from the yard. He dug two trenches and claimed the dirt was not good. He kept trying to convince us to add a wall around the pool so we believe the trenches were dug and the yard was left this way to force us to pay him thousands of dollars more on a rock wall. We ended up having to pay additional contractors to try to fix it but it still is an eyesore. Once the final payment was made he never showed up again. He provided no instructions on how to work/run the pool, filter, pump, etc. He also left the pool with dirt around it, which turned to mud every time it rained and left the pool unusable.
