I called this company to help schedule a move. We had to hire movers because our friends flaked on us at the last minute. Everything was pretty good until the guy I talked to quoted me a pretty high price for moving a small two bedroom apartment. I told him I wanted to just call a couple other places, and his demeanor changed completely. He told me "Oh well in that case I'm actually unavailable to do this move." I was flabbergasted. Not sure if this is how the company does business normally, or just one bad apple, but first impressions mean a lot to me when I'm considering giving my money to a business, and that was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. You don't just get my business because I'm desperate. You have to earn it. Oh, by the way, I found another company that did it for 40% less than they were quoting me. read more

I meant to do this days ago. All I can say is WOW!!!! Amazing Company!!! Listen, these gentlemen here do their thang! I was unprepared and called short notice. Thank GOD they were able to accommodate me with my situation. They communicated very well prior to their arrival. Once arriving there were very professional and knowledgeable about what their plan was going to be with getting the job done and quickly. They was very fast and yet careful with all of my stuff. Wrapped up my furniture as necessary. They continued to be mindful of their time on the clock. I had never used a moving company prior until this day. And I had no idea how much simpler and less stressful a move could be. These gentlemen were the best! I will be moving things from my storage to another place very soon and I will be calling on these men to assist. I am so grateful and I have been referring them to anyone and everyone I know! Do not hesitate. If you need the help or just want to not feel as stressed with moving period, let these men help you. This is what they do! They are professionals and it shows! read more

Well, it seems A Simple Move is a hit or miss based on the reviews and my experience. I picked them because of their affordability and Yelp reviews. I was given a window of 2-3pm this past Saturday. I asked for earlier but Dwayne said that on weekends he had to do later times. That wasn't a big deal. He called the day prior to remind me of our scheduled time which was encouraging. Then on the big day nobody showed up for my window time. When I called after 3p to get an ETA Dwayne said that there was some issue w scheduling and that it would be another 1.5-2 hours, so I said that would have to do. He offered to get me a third guy so it would be a quicker move, and I agreed. He also made some excuse that my move wasn't confirmed with them, but then I reminded him that he left a message for me the day before. 2 hours passed and I called again, leaving a voicemail. About 30 minutes later I get a call from a driver who said that he was on another job but could be to my place by 7p. By this time I was pretty frustrated and agreed because what other choice did I have at that point? I was pretty stuck and needed to move that night. Around 6:45p the guys arrived. They were hard workers and did a good job. I was impressed by how much they could lift! It was their third job of the day, and they started early in the morning. I felt bad for them because they weren't scheduled to do my move. I was informed by one of the movers that the guys who were scheduled to do mine were very slow. These guys worked hard and didn't break any of my items. They carefully wrapped my things and worked pretty quickly. If I was rating these guys alone, I'd give them 4-5 stars. Dwayne was nice over the phone, but what annoyed me the most was that he totally gave me false info on when I could actually expect someone to help me move. I don't want to be over promised on time when it is unrealistic. I want to know the truth. It was clear that Dwayne was in a bind because one of his crews dropped the ball on my move. I have a hard time recommending them based on my overall experience. It probably didn't help that it was a Saturday in the beginning of the month, but they should have the act together better than that. I was thankful to be done by 9pm. I ended up paying $237 plus tip. read more

A simple move was supposed to be arrived at noon today. Their crew didn't show up or give me a call. I called their office several times and left three voice mails. After one hour, one of crew members called me to let me know that they are gonna be late. It was already one hour delayed. Just one phone call at noon could prevent the drama today. A simple move needs to get disciplined and keep the commitment they made to their customers. read more

I just moved yesterday and used A Simple move. I had two guys, no truck (I had my own) for $75/hr plus 1/2 drive time for 2.75 hrs for a 1 bedroom with alot of stuff! total around $243 plus tip. They give you an hour window for arrival. The guys arrived closer to the earlier part of the hour. The guys... Tyson (i believe) and another guy both worked very hard. Both guys were super friendly. It's really hard to make my dad happy. However, my dad was really impressed with how well they utilized the space on the truck. read more

Complained the whole time to me about how heavy things were and how tired and sore they were. Got old very quickly. While one of them thought I was out of earshot they talked shit about me and how they were going to upcharge me. This resulting from me having a metal framed couch. They had the audacity to accuse me of intentionally withholding information on how heavy the couch was even though they never asked about what I was moving or how heavy things were. They said it was my fault that they didn't bring more movers (they had brought two) for a third floor move even though I gave them that information when I scheduled, and they let YOU choose how many movers and how many hours. They refused to let me give them the address of the new place and instead I had to drive slow with them following me (trying not to lose them and trying not to impede traffic) which was very stressful and dangerous. Ended up costing me an arm and a leg and a day's peace. Anything but a simple move. EDIT: Reading other reviews reminded me that when they were 10 minutes late I called. They said they had lost my number and were hoping I would call because they were going to be 2 hours later than scheduled. read more

I just want to reiterate that Dwayne and his crew do a fantastic job. Like everyone else says ... quick, friendly, efficient, and reasonably priced. I was super stressed out for my most recent move and these guys were actually a calming influence on moving day. Plus they were very sweet to my dog and very tolerant of my son hiding behind things and jumping out at them! read more

Geoff's company did a fantastic job getting me into my new place and went above and beyond what they should have done -- because the day that my move actually came, I was only 2/3 packed by the time they got there. I definitely underplanned on the amount of time I'd need to pack things up. However, they apparently had seen this kind of situation before and helped me get everything left into boxes and into the truck in a few hours. Which was great, because my back was really to the wall with respect to time. Their rates were quoted at $65/hr to have 2 guys move you, $75/hr to have 3 guys. I took the 3 guys because I had a lot of belongings and figured it'd be more efficient. Everything was packed up, relocated, and moved with care, no scrapes or scratches on the new walls and no damage to any of my belongings. I only had 3 minor gripes about the whole experience: 1) Guy #3 who was brought along had a wicked cold that day -- and sure enough, my friend and I both caught it. Kinda sucked. 2) I called Geoff who said he would call me back that day to provide more information to me and he didn't call back that same day or the next. I had to call him again - was told they'd been "busy". 3) On the turn to the onramp to the Interstate, which was uphill, I saw the light turn yellow and knowing that the truck was big and diesel, knew they'd never make the light, I braked and was going to wait for the next green turn arrow. The truck did not stop and it was a good thing I stayed in gear because I saw an oncoming truck rushing up to my bumper in the rear-view mirror. I somehow managed to dodge out of the way and the truck made the left turn, right through the red turn-arrow, a good 2-3 seconds after the light had turned red. I was a little rattled from the near miss. Warning to people who might hire these guys: do *not* be in front of them if there is a turn to be made and there is a yellow arrow. Other than those incidents, it was as smooth a move as it could have been given the circumstances (of me not being 100% packed and ready to go). Total bill came out to around $420 or so and I tipped above average for not only their good service but for "saving" me when I was so far behind in packing. 4 1/2 stars. read more

We've hired Geoff Rand @ "a simple move" on two occasions now and have been floored by the excellent service both times. The first time we used Geoff's service, we hired them cold-turkey without a recommendation. Not only were the movers trustworthy and efficient, they didn't complain one bit when they noticed the 15 long boxes of comic books - which weigh more than a four year old - that had to go up not one, but TWO flights of 15 stairs each. Now that's commitment! We last used them May 17th when we moved from the same condo in Aurora to our new home in Centennial. Goeff himself and employee Dominic arrived promptly at 9am. Unfortunately, their 17ft moving truck had broken down, and while other movers may have called and canceled, Geoff rented a Uhaul and brought a van AND a flat bed - at no extra charge to us. Not that the charge for using his truck was drastic anyway - it was only $20 for use during the move!! Geoff and Dominic had the truck packed by 12 noon and unloaded at the new house by 1:30pm. The lack of stairs and staging of the boxes was helpful and saved time for everyone - we were amazed at how quickly they completed the entire move. Geoff doesn't charge much either. If you're interested in exact rates, please contact me via private message, although I will say that it cost less than $350 for 4.5 hours of their time and man power. Best of all - these guys were attentive - when the wheels on my parrot cages fell off, they didn't just leave them for me to go back and find. They actually picked them up and put them in the cages. NONE of our property was damaged in transit either. Geoff and his team ROCK. I wouldn't recommend any other company based on the amazing service I've had from "a simple mover." I know you're going to be happy with them too! read more

$200.00 plus the $60.00 tip (my choice) to move me, a scooter and my large one bedroom apartment. I have some heavy large items too! Everything was packed and it took about 3 hours to move me. I help a little with the breakable stuff but all was well with the move. Next time will use them too. read more

WOW. I was very very very very stressed about my move and since I moved a lot for my job, too tired to try to do it myself. I picked this place to help me move 100% based of Yelp reviews. And I am glad I did. 9:00 AM pick up- 3 guys . They showed up on time and got right to work. GREAT Attitudes, and no nonsense movement. I got more bang for my buck, with no idle time, they got in and started moving things.. FAST. They actually joked that the drive to my new place took longer than they did to pack up . Quite True. I was moving into a 3 story place, so unpacking wasn't as easy, but still done quickly and efficiently. Less than 3 hours later they were gone! I was ready to unpack and relax by the afternoon... I can't emphasize enough, how great their service was... I will use them again !!!! read more

We found "A Simple Move" on yelp, and couldn't have been happier. We are new to the Denver Area and needed to find movers. Geoff was great. He is on time, hard working, and moved everything in the time he quoted us. His quote was way better than 3 other movers we called, and there weren't any extra fees (gas, mileage, etc.) like the other companies had. He has a large moving truck, but said if it didn't all fit he has other vehicles and trailers he could bring at no extra cost. Not only was his quote amazing, it was exactly what we paid when it was all done (plus a tip for being so great!). We have referred him to others since, and they have all been as happy as we were. Thank you so much Geoff! We need more businesses run the way you run yours! read more

Not always great at setting prices and changes to prices ahead of time. Otherwise, great, reliable crew.

I was very apprehensive about finding a moving company for a cross city move. I looked up movers on yelp and was impressed by the high score and multiple reviews. I was glad my fellow yelpers guided me in the right direction. They showed up on time, in uniform and worked hard until the move was done. It wasn't the cheapest move but was exactly what Dwayne estimated it would be up front. There were no hidden charges or issues. Worth every penny! I would highly recommend them and will use them again in the future. read more

I called the evening before (at 6:47pm), and they answered and were willing to help me move my 1 Bedroom apartment the following day; they offered a 9am, I prefered a 12pm-1pm. They arrived at 12:30pm, the move was finished right on at 2:30pm. Very professional, took great care of my belongings. Will absolutely recommend, and use again. Thanks A Simple Move! Update: The last time I moved with A Simple Move, several items were damaged and broken entirely. Upon calling the owner, he was very quick to let us know that any (ALL) items we packed ourselves would not be covered. Well, seeing as damage to items is the only liability you could have and you won't own up to it - I certainly will NEVER use A Simple Move again. read more

We finally moved out of our third floor walkup into a real house, and hired A Simple Move for the job. It was a big job, as we have a lot of stuff and the old building was immensely awkward to get in and out of. Our three movers were unbelievably experienced, skilled, professional, careful, thoughtful, efficient, and friendly. If I recall correctly they had over 20 years experience among them, which is a TON for movers. Everything was moved without a scratch. Items that we had nearly destroyed moving ourselves into the building years ago were moved out without even grazing a wall. I really didn't think a move could go that well. The owner, Dwayne, runs an impressively tight ship and even dropped by our move just to make sure things were going well (and helped out a little himself). The job was bigger than anyone had anticipated, but the company didn't blink and completed the job as carefully as they had started it. The price, by the hour, was clearly defined from the beginning and the bill was accurate to the minute, and the cost was more than fair. A real value. I dread moving more than anything else in my life (cush life I guess), but I have to say that working with A Simple Move made it, dare I say, kind of fun. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I used these guys based on a lot of the Yelp reviews and I was extremely happy with the move. I've been in the Air Force for 13 years and have made at least 7 moves during that time. Today's move had to be done out of pocket so I was picky about which company I would go with. I was worried about getting some of the scam companies such as All My Sons or many of the other poor choices out there so I'm glad I listened to the yelper community. 3 guys came out and did a great job getting my items safely to a storage unit. It took just under 4 hours for the entire move and they were careful with all of the items. For the price of the quality of service, you can't go wrong. Thanks for making it smooth. read more

Qwan, Terry and T moved belongings yesterday for several hours. We'd had trouble with previous movers, but had no complaints about A Simple Move. They were careful, professional, competent, and fun! I hope to avoid moving for years and years, but will definitely call them if I ever need to move again. read more

I found these guys on Yelp and called them the night before we needed them to show up the next morning. Dwayne said no problem and his crew was there at 10:30am. He told me on the phone he'd give me a deal on 3 guys but showed up with 4. He said "I hope you don't mind, we are training a new guy, the price is still the same." Do I mind getting a fourth mover for free? Of course not! They cleared out my entire two story house in an hour. Moving into the storage unit was trickier because of the need to use the elevator and the tight space. However, Dwayne summoned up all of his expertise and skill to figure out how to get the furniture into a tetris-like formation and close the storage unit door. The guys he brought were all polite and professional. They knicked a few things here and there, but I didn't mind. When you're moving big furniture through tight spaces, things are going to get knicked. I'm giving them 5 stars. I found them because they were the top of the Yelp list, and I think they should stay there. I will for sure be using them to unload the stuff when I need to move it again in a few months. read more

Dwayne and crew were extremely fast, careful and polite through the whole process. He even offered to help set up the bedroom and living room. He called ahead to let me know his morning move was running late so I wasn't sitting by the phone wondering where they were, unlike most movers I've used in the past. His prices were very low and they charged me per hour for the labor no matter how many people came to help move. Dwayne has a good thing going and he understands that taking care of people and staying true to your word and commitments is what makes clients for life. I know I'm one! read more

Just completed my move with these guys and my wife and I couldn't have been happier. They arrived on time on a rainy Sunday, they charged only for the amount of time they worked and didn't try and round up an hour. They got the job done and I was impressed with how nice they were. If you have Alex, Stan, Brandon or Nate you'll be in good hands. Thanks again guys. read more

I can't say enough about the guys with Simple Move!!! My 85 yr old mother was moving and found out about Dwayne and his company through recommendations. They arrived on time and were professional and so efficient my mom and I could not believe it. Dwayne and his three other guys ,TK,Marcus and Auto were so nice and patient with my mom and all the heavy things she had to be moved ,it wasn't the easiest ,nicest cleanest move ever but they never wavered. We joined them for lunch and they picked up our check I commend Dwayne and his company and highly recommend them for any moving you may be doing Dwayne and his team are awesome !!! I called Dwayne at A Simple move to schedule a small move for my son from storage to his new apartment. We needed his things moved on Sunday within a small window of time that the apartment had given him. I called just a couple of days before and none of the other movers wanted to come out on a Sunday. Dwayne scheduled the move and quoted me a price. He showed up with a larger truck than promised and quickly moved everything to the new apartment. Nothing was broken and they were happy to comply with any requests. I wish all my moves had gone this smoothly....... kudos to Dwayne and his team!! read more

We recently used A Simple Move, and I was VERY pleased with the service we received, great guys and hard workers. I've never seen someone pack a truck as well as Quan! Our team was Quan, Chris, Ed, and Julian. Such had working, polite, and professional group of young men. They were extremely careful with our things, which I completely appreciated! They have great rates, but if there was one downside and it wasn't a big deal, it did take a little more time then I expected, especially since we had everything on one level for them and only had them move it into the garage of our new home (with exception to a few items), but other than that they were excellent and we would definitely use them again! read more

This is the second time we've used A Simple Move, and both experiences were 5 star. This time our team was Terrell, Anthony and Chris, and these guys were courteous, friendly and very efficient. I recommend both A Simple Move and the Terrell, Anthony and Tony crew. read more

We needed help unloading a trailer and Dwayne was able to help us arrange it with less than a week's notice. The movers reached out when they were on their way and worked quickly and carefully. Dwayne and his crew of TJ and Shawn were hard-working. I was impressed with the way that they went right to work, took care to wrap fragile items, and were honest and upbeat. If you want a professional, reliable, polite, hard working moving company than A Simple Move is that company. They showed up timely and ready to work. Due to the amount of furniture ( extraordinary heavy and bulky) we had 6 men and two trucks. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to move everything things in a reasonable amount of time. I believe they are successful at their job because they coordinate and work as a team. What ever they charge for their work...they are worth every penny. Which I found to be reasonable. I wouldn't think of using any other moving company. read more

Finding a moving company is always a toss up it seems, but I have to say A Simple Move did an excellent job with our move! We had 3 guys and they really came in and got right down to business- no goofing around! They showed up when they said they would, they had a great attitudes (lots of light hearted joking around), very friendly dispositions, got right to work, and they made sure everything went in the right places when we got to the new place. So worth the money!-Got a flat rate per hour plus a service charge- and that was exactly what it was, no hidden costs! If we move again in the future, I would hire this company again! read more

We had a great experience with A Simple Move. We hired them with a week's notice for a move between Lafayette and Denver. Alex and Aaron helped us out and did a terrific job! They were on time, efficient, packed our furniture really well, and were just great to work with. They were polite and friendly, and amazingly strong! Nothing was damaged during the move, and they made sure to have us check the truck afterwards to make sure they didn't forget anything. Hiring them was absolutely worth it. Their rates are very reasonable. Would recommend them for sure to anyone. read more

I recently used A Simple Move to relocate our office. Moving team was Chris, James, James and Julian. Everyone was very polite and professional, and the guys knocked it out quicker than expected. Communication was great throughout. Emailed and spoke with the owner Dwayne to line up the move, and since he wasn't personally on that job he called afterward to the make sure everything went well. I would not recommend for a piano move. The original quoted amount was much less that what I ended up paying. Even tho I had filled out the form accordingly. I based my cost off of Dwayne's recommendation ($150 per hour +$95 truck fee for 3-guys and no indication of minimum time), but I was charged significantly more ($500) once they showed up claiming he wasn't aware it was as heavy. I filled out the form accordingly online. I also added a note that it was a heavy piece of furniture that I needed moved. I don't deny it being heavy, most pianos are. There were no documents nor a receipt provided. it ended up being 2 guys and a U-Haul truck. They didn't wrap my piano or have tie downs, only rope. And to top it off, there was damage done to my piano that Dwayne is denying. Very nice guy, but very disappointed how my piano move was handled. read more

NOT Professional! We moved within in the Denver metro area and A Simple Move was recommended by one of our neighbors so we gave them a try. They took 5+ x hours longer than they quoted, their super old truck broke down on the way to our move, they caused $1000's of dollars of damage to our furniture and they put well marked boxes in the wrong rooms (i.e. Master Bedroom ended up in the basement and garage boxes were in the Master bedroom!) When we called to complain and figure out a resolution and they NEVER returned our calls. This place should be out of business! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A SIMPLE MOVE! read more
