I hired A Simple Move to move me from our house in Denver to our new house in Littleton. They did a great job, they were careful with all of our belongings but left a handful of dings on the walls, I've done worse myself being in the house for a few days. Things in the truck were all tied down and moving blankets used. Also, the guys flew, they definitely didn't waste any time loading and unloading the truck. Now for a little of the bad, I was given a start window from 1-2pm. I received a call at about 12:40 stating that they were running late and to expect them closer to 2-2:30. I was okay with that, at least they told me. As I sat in the house trying to streamline the boxes and furniture to be sure they could move as fast as possible I got another call at 2:25 saying that they were on their way and would be there soon. The guys showed up about 3:10. I know things can go wrong out there on moves and things can sometimes just take longer than expected but its still annoying when you take time off work and end up waiting around. Once loaded, again these guys flew, we hopped in the car and started driving to the new place. We'd been on the road for about a mile when I received a call from the guys in the truck stating that they were running on fumes and needed to stop for gas. This meant I had to find a gas station close and mostly on the way and wait for them to put some gas in the tank while on my dime. Then they unloaded, again very quickly, very expertly, after nearly everything was unloaded we went to settle up. When I heard the total I was confused. They'd added a driving fee to the bill that wasn't included in the quote since I was told I was in what is considered the Denver Metro Area and they'd rounded up the time to the nearest 30 minutes (I can't recall exactly but I believe we were right at about 16 minutes which got rounded up). I argued about the drive time being added since I was told during the bid that it wouldn't be and it was removed but I didn't want to push against the rounding up of the time although I wish I would have. Given the late arrival and stopping for gas on the drive I should have nit picked a little more. Overall I can't complain much, the move got done fast and got done pretty well. The house was left with a few bruises and I was left feeling slightly annoyed but hey, moving is annoying. read more

We went with A Simple Move mostly due to their great reviews on Yelp. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint!!! Geoff and Roderick showed up this morning to move us from our 3rd floor apartment in Thornton to a 1st floor in Denver. These two were awesome---and exactly why we hired movers---they know what they are doing and they don't BS. It would have taken me and my friends all day to move (and who knows, we might have just given up on the whole moving thing altogether if we found something better to do---which would be just about anything because moving sucks!!) Even after selling a lot of things, we still had what we considered to be a ton of stuff. I am sure Geoff and Roderick scoffed at what we had---a sectional sofa, Queen mattress/boxspring, poker table with 6 chairs and about 20 boxes. They had it all in the truck in just over 30 minutes---They are professional and they don't mess around people. We made it to the new place and, of course, unload was a breeze for them because it was the 1st floor---they finished well under their 2 hour minimum (even with a 30 minute drive). Geoff, Dwayne, and the rest of the ASM crew are simply top notch. They are fast, efficient, courteous and friendly, and they really worked their butts off for us without killing us with expensive charges and fees. We were moving from a 2nd floor apt. in Englewood to a 2 story house in Lochbuie (near Brighton) - almost 40 miles away. Most moving companies quoted us extra fees for a long distance move and would have charged extra for the time to get from their headquarters to each location and back again. But not Geoff - he quoted a very competitive flat rate for 3 men and a truck, with a small additional amount for gas due to the distance. It was more than fair and saved us hundreds of dollars on the move. Not only did they do a fantastic job on the first move, but we discovered that we still had a lot of stuff left in the apartment to be moved even after they packed the truck to the gills. So Dwayne and Geoff made a commitment to coming out again a few days later to haul the rest for us, at a discounted rate. We called A Simple Move after reading the on-line reviews for them and several others. We were not disappointed with our choice. We called them on short notice and they were extremely helpful setting up our move. The two young men who came were very gracious and worked hard and fast and even though they were fast they were very careful with our things even to shrink wrapping our furniture. They picked up our belongings at 2 different locations and delivered them to our new new apartment in less than 3 hours. Through the whole ordeal they maintained a courteous demeanor telling me several times to not worry about anything they would handle it. And they did. We have used A Simple Move twice now, both for moves within the Denver area. The first time I hired them solely based on the positive YELP reviews, and the way they priced out lower than the competitors (Oct 2009). That first move went so well that we used them a second time this past June 2013. Again, they priced out lower than the five other companies I called. And again, they shined. They were quick, focused, and radiated good energy. Even when one of the gentlemen got his fingers pinched between our washing machine and the doorframe, he didn't drop the machine or any inappropriate/offensive language or get angry. All of the guys were happy, energetic and just pleasant to be around. Our move went smoothly, was a little quicker than the estimate, and nothing was damaged. Two thumbs up twice now! We had planned to rent a truck and move ourselves and at the last minute realized that it would be better to hire movers. That was on Sat., Dec 28 and our move date was Mon, Dec. 30th. My wife and I used a Simple Move to get from Minneapolis to the Boulder area. We had a bit of a complicated moving process, as we had to deliver some items to a storage unit and drop off others at a thrift shop for donation. In addition, our possessions were situated for away from our dwelling. A Simple Move worked hard and efficiently, handling our possessions with care and not wasting any time getting our items safely to all intended destinations. I hired this company for a mid-sized move and planned to have everything organized for them to make the move as easy as possible. Unfortunately, I fell and broke my wrist just before the move, and lots of things didn't get done before their arrival. Luckily, I had family members to help out, but these movers had to figure out things as we went, they had lots of good input to help get things done, and they worked really hard to make things happen for me. We have moved 24 times over our 48 years of marriage...retired military and then several self-inflicted moves. A Simple Move ranks right up there as one of the best if not THE best. We have a Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe armoire. It's beautiful but it is heavy and awkward. They tackled it with grit and determination and took it up a very steep flight of stairs to its final place. And not a whine out of them all day...and we've had a lot of whiners over the years. This was my first time using movers and it will not be the last, I was very impressed with it all. Alex and his crew Brandon & Kyle were very polite, easy to work with, and hustled. I can honestly say you can trust these good reviews. The team is experienced, professional, and super nice and friendly. They moved all my furniture with extra care, wrapping and taping everything securely. My move was particularly challenging because I was moving from a third-story building to another third-story building. They had to carry heavy boxes and furniture up and down a lot of stairs. We got a 4-man team and they moved a 3-story townhouse of big furniture, boxes, and random loose items into a 2-story house in TWO HOURS, INCLUDING the in-town commute. A Simple Move - Willie, Ed and Rayshawn were awesome! They came earlier than the reserved time, wrapped everything well, and did not cause damage to my furniture. My only issue was to make sure you do a final walkthroughto make sure everything was taken out. When i went back later, a mattress frame and big box were remaining. Our movers (Alex, James, Stan and Nate) were incredible. We just had a huge move from these 4 men and they really pulled through for us! They moved furniture from a large 5 bedroom home and worked efficiently and NOTHING was damaged. We had some very, very heavy pieces of furniture and they worked as a team and got the job done!
