**Update** I took the class I had paid for. I enjoyed it. The teacher, Brittany was great. She bounced around to each of us, answering questions and explaining steps. I'm still incredibly irritated with the discount issue and won't likely shop for fabric is I take another class. Just want to be fair in my review. I'm so disappointed. I signed up for a class a couple of months ago. The class cost is $30 for a 10 - 3:30 class. Today I stopped by to purchase my fabric, pattern, and supplies which ran about $40. The person helping me tells me that I get a 20% discount on my purchases because they're for a class. She checked with another employee who correct her. Because I didn't sign up on the day that they did a meet the teacher thing, my discount is only 10%. The price of the class is the same for everyone. The only difference is the day I signed up. Had I known that, I would have not purchased fabric or supplies here. Like most sewers, I have lots of fabric at home I could have used. I know running a small quilt shop is tough. I get it. However, I find it very irritating that my discount is half of what it would have been had I signed up on the meet the teacher day. I'll go to the class, but will likely not do business here in the future. read more

I love this quilt shop in Mesa. They have a great selection of fabrics. I love their selections of Tula Pink and Kaffe Fasset fabrics. They have a nice selection of quilting accesories. The staff is always friendly. I have not taken one yet but they also have a variety of classes you can take to make some cool project pieces read more

My wife and I have been going here for a couple of years now. Each time we visit Arizona we make it a point to visit. My wife's shops for some of the items she can't (not really. She just wants to shop here) and I look at all the quilts hanging on the walls. I really enjoy it and she talks about how much she enjoys it. read more

They did such a great video showing the unpacking of the new Tula fabric I had to do by while visiting from outside the area. Everyone was super helpful and I enjoyed my visit, coming away with some great landscape fabric for my National Parks quilt! read more

Place had lots of space for classes and was asking everyone to wash their hands as they came in. Both high marks from me. They had about 300+ bolts of nice batiks. They tended to have much less of other assortments. I was looking for kaffe fassett and their stock was about 120 bolts of nothing I wanted. Staff seemed nice, but busy. I think a class had just ended. Bright space, some notions and books. A good stop. read more

My cousin and I visited three quilt shops last Wednesday. This was by far the most exciting. The ladies that work here all seemed very enthusiastic about sewing and crafting. The shop is very well lit and the fabrics are grouped in a great way. It just makes you want to sew! read more

I have been to this shop a few times only because I live about 45 miles in the other direction otherwise I would have had many visits here. The quality of their fabric is wonderful and I was slightly amused at the other review where the woman compared fabric and pricing to JoAnn and Hobby Lobby. While they are both 2 of my favorite places to shop, I would never buy fabric for a quilt for either of them because of the quality. When it comes to quilt fabric, you definitely do get the superior quality at the quilt shops like Quilter's Oasis. read more

I moved to the Augusta Ranch area 6 short months ago. When my mother in law came to town she was thrilled to see a quilting store within walking distance to my home. Her trip from Texas was only 2 days, but we were sure to check this store out before she went home. The treatment we received initially from the owners husband was very nice, but he was not knowledgeable about the products and often asked for assistance when we asked questions. This was fine as we realized he was the owners husband and was not versed in day-to-day operations. My mother in law is an avid quilter and was walking around snapping pictures of various quilts. We caught the eye of a woman who was chatting with others but were not informed or instructed in any way. When my mother in law went to snap her final picture we heard a woman screaming and demanding that the picture be deleted immediately, she continued to make this demand even after my mother in law answered and obliged her. We found out this woman was the owner and the quilt pattern was owned by someone. Her screaming at us was incredibly embarrassing. I'm not sure if this was a cultural response or if this woman just had no manners. Either way I strongly discourage patronizing this business. Bad day or not we need to operate in a position of grace and gently inform customers of any wrongdoing. I've certainly been treated better at big resellers like JOANN's and Hobby Lobby, not to mention their prices are far better. I'm sad to say that this is a small and local business I cannot support. read more

I was visiting my son and his wife in Mesa Arizona, I decided to visit this quilt store. I have never been treated so rude. I was not greeted as the other customers were, and not even recognized as if I could have been a quilter. I'm a African American women and I have been quilting for about 13 years and I have never been treated with such disrespect. The owners watched me and my daughter inas if we were unable of making a purchase. I spent $85.00 in that quilt store and I regret it to this day. That store is still in business? I don't know how. I just read Nadine R's negative comments about Quilter's Oasis. I, too live in Augusta Ranch, and I was also treated VERY disrespectfully seven years ago when I began quilting. I will never go in that shop again. I was shopping with two friends and asked Kathy, the owner, a question about a quilt pattern. She turned to one of my friends and quietly said, "tell her (me) that I am not her personal shopper!" I went over to Kathy and asked her if she had said that and she said yes. I told her I was a new quilter and only asked her a question, and Kathy said she had been busy with another customer (I didn't see one) and didn't have time to answer my question. I told her I would NEVER shop there again. If Kathy was busy with another customer, she might have been polite and said, "I'd be happy to help. I'll be with you in a minute, I'm with another customer." Nope. All the other quilt shops in the southeast valley have polite and courteous employees who appear to sincerely want to help a customer. Too bad for this business. Industry studies show that a customer who has had a bad experience will tell seven people. Since I have been in two large quilt groups and one small one, I have had the delight of telling over 150 quilters about my experience. That store is the closest quilt shop to me and they have lost several thousands of dollars of my business and others because of rudeness. read more

I have enjoyed shopping at Quilter's Oasis for many years. It is my "go to" quilt shop when I am trying to find just the right fabric to finish a project. The owner, Kathy, welcomes me by name and the collection is extensive and well organized. The highlight for me in this shop is the large section of fabrics discounted up to 40%. There is a large group of blenders organized by color, many reproduction prints, gorgeous batiks, the latest new collections, and lots of other surprises.
