I called JET (John Trevino) on a Saturday afternoon, after yelping "drywall repair". I read Jill's review and was sold. After all she had JET listed in her "House Remodeling List" and well..I'm kind of starting that process. John agreed to show up and take a look at the damage later that same day. Maybe hubby just picked out duds when he called around. Maybe these duds really never returned calls or called back when they said they would, but John certainly wasn't a dud. He gave me a specific time window of when he would arrive and stuck to it. So for one, this guy is punctual. Calls me back when he says he will call me back. Arrives when he says he will arrive. Calls me if he is running late. Seems like a pretty simple trait that everyone should have, but unfortunately that hasn't been our experience with other contractors as of late. The price was reasonable, no surprise added costs at the end, the work was professional and completed on time as scheduled. On top of that John and his helper (brother, cousin?) were very nice, easy to talk to, and just overall I got that "he seems like a good guy" type of vibe, which is good considering I'm going to need more help around the house. My walls are bare. I've got a fever, a fever for more color. The only remedy now is more JET Painting.

He helped me and Jonathan W. complete some drywall repair and painting that had to get done in a hurry, and I'm pleased with the results. John worked on our drywall with his nephews Andrew and Jonathan, who were friendly and nice but not as meticulous as John. But all we had to do was point out problem areas and John made sure we were satisfied. John took the time to explain technique, too, which was helpful since my husband has done and will continue to do repair jobs as we remodel our house. John even offered to come back out and help train us on how to spray wall texture. I don't think it's JETs standard protocol, but John and my husband painted the kitchen together, which I thought was cool. Again, it gave my husband a chance to get the benefit some professional experience, and it made the job go faster. John was also able to get good paint at a lower price than what Pittsburg Paints offers to the public, too. Our loft area proved too daunting, since we didn't have any scaffolding, so we called JET again. We'd already taped and floated the ceiling when we removed the acoustic texture, and my husband had corrected some of the popped seams on the walls, but the highest areas still needed repair, and the whole room needed paint. My husband wasn't able to be home for the first day when they were re-taping and floating some areas. When I got home, I was really upset. It just wasn't the same quality we'd gotten from them before, so my husband called John and explained our concerns. The next day, they walked through the area together and John agreed to correct the issues we had. Though it took an extra day, he was able to make things right. We would have had a tough time doing such a good job (especially on the 20 foot high areas) ourselves. John's prices are very reasonable, and I think he's a trustworthy person to have working in your home. Though we had one disappointment, John made sure the final product was satisfactory. I would call him again.

I called to see if someone could come out and stretch a small corner of carpet for us. (We had a leak and the water went in the corner of the closet). The response was there would be a $400 charge! I said it's only about 12" that needed to be stretched and tacked down so how could that be $400? It is because they only want to do a big job - not take care of the customers that have used them. I will never use them again. Worse, it makes me think buying local is of no advantage to me so don't support the smaller business. We thought by supporting the smaller business, they would support their customers.

Do not do business with this company!…read more Unfortunately, my builder choose this crook of a company to do their tile work. We called them out for warranty work, due to shitty work they did prior. They came out and repaired the tile, however when leaving they hit and damaged my mailbox. I got in contact with the "owner" a real fucking character. He joked around and kept denying anything happened when I have everything on camera and me and my fiancé walked outside right after it happened. I will be contacting an attorney for this matter.
