No where in my review did I mentioned I called yesterday. I actually did leave a message on the number that was listed at the shop. My review was simply I showed up during listed opened hours and your shop was closed , called the number no answer and the shop looked dark I thought it maybe it was closed down. And over the last 6 months, she has broken down our relationship with poor workmanship and refusing to meet deadlines. I dropped off two vintage dresses in October for rework. One was silk beaded and one was designer 80's prom. The silk beaded she added side panels, and I got it back in January, the date of the event i needed it for, not a day early. She didn't bind the silk edge properly and it pulled out that same night after three hours of wear. She lined silk with silk, making the dress stiff and the bottom seam was left very sharp and ripped my nylons up at the event. I got so many comments on the torn nylons. She promised to repair it so I asked her to use the proper lining. I also asked her to match the beading on the panels and went and found the beads. I was willing to pay for mote work on the bad job even. We had a previous great relationship so I assumed it was one bad job and felt comfortable going further and I truly believed she would fix it. I asked her to do the 80's prom first so that I could wear it spring since I already wore the silk. She has taken it apart for months and has never put it back together. I told her repeatedly not to take fabric from the peplum because it was the entire reason I bought the dress. I told her take from the skirt because we were shortening anyway. She took from the peplum. We added girth to the bodice so the peplum is no longer as ruffled. Devastating. I had two separate fittings for the 80's dress scheduled. One she left me standing outside and didn't even tell me that she wasn't coming. A later different fitting, I had a feeling she was gonna ghost me so I called her first and found out that she was never intending to show up. I have begged for dates for a fitting and she refuses to respond. I was only able to get responses when I said never mind I will just come pick it up. She then said she wouldn't even charge me for the work on the 80's dress!!! The work to take it apart and never put it back together? She missed valentines day, my entire show season, every event i could have purposed it for... So now she has a silk beaded vintage dress that she never repaired her bad seams, so that dress is essentially destroyed and unwearable. And I paid for the job already, but now have to pay someone else to fix it or throw it out. And the other dress is in pieces. If she had never touched them, I could at least resell them. She will probably respond with some quippy nasty remarks like she does everyone else who complains. But I am not an unreasonable person with unreasonable expectations. I treated her like a friend and she has destroyed two beautiful vintage garments. I am utterly devastated to lose the working relationship and to lose the dresses. Please be firm on your deadlines with her. She will always pass the buck. I doubt I will get a genuine apology. All I will get back is the remains of two vintage dresses. One that has already been paid for. I will also get some little sneer in response I'm sure. update: the snide remark is posted by the owner. i will be picking up my unfinished garments this evening. how truly sad to see such a dishonest and disgusting response. this is what you can expect. it truly tells to her character.

In addition to my original review, I had the experience of using the garbage/dump portion of the…read morewaste management facility today. After dropping off some household chemicals, motor oil, and antifreeze at the Hazohouse, I headed up to the garbage drop off. I was nervous at first because I thought it was going to be a huge process to drop off my stuff but you just drive in past the dog park and head up to the first weight station. Wait for your turn and then drive up to the booth and have your drivers license or ID ready. They will scan your ID and then give you a card with a barcode on it which you need to hold onto so you can show it at the booth at the exit. Then you wait for an open parking stall. Most people backed into the stalls because it's easier to push your refuse over the rails down into the dump container below. It's actually pretty organized. I thought it was going to be a huge landfill that you have to find a spot and where the least amount of trash is and toss your stuff. It wasn't like that at all. I had a Uhaul 10ft truck and I'm actually glad the rails that prevent you from failing into the container are there because they help you get the leverage you need to toss large objects without hurling yourself into the container as well. Still...be safe and don't toss with too much force and make sure your footing is good so you don't slip. Kids have to stay within your vehicle for safety reasons. They have a separate section for yard waste and large appliances, so look for the signage. I kind of hated to use the dump to toss my furniture but after calling Goodwill, Value Village, and Habitat for Humanity and all of them saying they weren't currently taking furniture or being too selective on what furniture they'd take, I decided to just get rid of it in one go. I'm glad I did because the process was easy. Once you're done tossing your junk, head to the exit, give the pay booth your barcode card and pay. The receipt they give you even shows your starting weight versus your ending weight so you know what you're paying for. $64 for two full U-Haul loads of furniture, trash, bedding, and household items. I felt that was reasonable and saved me a lot of time. I also found out that you can recycle styrofoam down by the Hazohouse along with all the other items I listed in my original review.

Took my Snapper edger in for a tuneup and got it back within a few days. Brian did a great job…read morecleaning it up as it looks brand new from when I took in to them. He changed the oil, plug, blade, belt and a did tuneup. Runs great with one pull. Nice price and great service.
