I contacted them that evening and Matt responded almost immediately and scheduled a date and time. The tech, a young man name Jeremiah, texted me an hour before arrival. Came to our home, I showed him where the issue was. He went in, destroyed the nest and took it out, and then treated with Deltadust, a formulation of deltamethrin. Finished the job in a half hour. I was a repeat customer, for a problem that turns out they may not have eradicated the first time. I think these guys are good and do good work... IF they're able to solve it in that first visit. In two separate paid visits now, the "follow-up" appointments to check their work that THEY INITIATE get canceled. This last time, they rescheduled SIX TIMES, all last minute, after the time they were supposed to have shown up, or without any warning at all other than a "reschedule text" later. Do NOT pay your invoice after that first visit until you actually KNOW the problem has been solved, because the "free" follow-up appointments have been canceled last minute way too many times. And this was with written acknowledgement that the job had not been completed. I will share their "understanding" and empathetic "we're standing you up again" template here. Considering they started repeating excuses, I'm surprised they didn't accidentally send me the template itself: "Good morning, [customer]. We sincerely apologize for the [short notice, confusion, inconvenience]. Unfortunately, the technician assigned to your service has informed us that he is [sick, injured, forgot ladder, custom]. We appreciate your understanding, as this situation is beyond our control. Would you be available to reschedule your appointment on [Mon-Fri] (##/##) between ##:## and ##:## [am/pm]. Please let us know if this works for you, or kindly share your availability. Thank you for your patience and understanding." Honoring their appointments is NOT outside of their control. It's baffling a service provider would write this -- I will help translate: "We make one attempt at a job and then invoice you, stand you up multiple times for our advertised and self-initiated follow-up appointments, and then straightfaced gaslight you over text. Thank you for your understanding. We count on you being flexible, infinitely tolerant, reasonable and professional when workmanship issues arise, so that we don't have to be."

The person who showed up was not with sound pest but was with Fikes. He spent all of 5 mins walking through my house and sprayed an aerosol can that costs I believe $29.99. He did not spray in under or around anything. This was also not the description of service that was provided to me through yelp. I called to complain immediately after. I have also called to talk to a Manager multiple times. They always state they will call me back and never do. It might have been a great company before it was sold but do not let the historical positive reviews fool you this is not under the same management as before. Go somewhere else for service.

The scheduler was unable to find a time slot and passed my request to the Lakewood office to coordinate directly. I got an appointment with an inspector the same day. The inspector, Christina, and her assistant were prompt and professional with their inspection and assessment. I was not charged for their service because the solution was simply removal of the damaged and infested wood. I contacted Terminex based on recommendation of a friend who used them for a termite infestation problem. He told me they did a good job for him. So far this office seemed to be a solid business. Will be calling them to inspect and treat another house for possible pest problem.

They added a pest control plan anyway. When they said they were done with our crawl space job. We hired a certified home inspector to inspect our crawl space. The job failed the inspection- substandard work. They charged for work that never existed in the crawl space. When Terminix came out to fix the incomplete crawlspace work, they charged us a pest control visit fee of $363.14. (This happened twice.) We have asked numerous times to be taken off the pest control plan, but the Terminix manager said," Well you signed it". We don't know what we signed because we never received any kind of explanation or itemized slip-even though the sales rep said he would email one. Don't sign their I-pads

We were customers of EcoShield for several years. When we signed up for the quarterly service, we…read morewere told that rodent control was part of the service. We were also told that any potential points of entry for rodents to get into the home or crawlspace would be addressed upon signing up for the service. During our last quarterly service, we were told that there was a lot of rat activity underneath our home in the crawlspace. We had an inspector come out, and we were told it was going to cost over $2000 to remediate the rat problem. I asked why this issue had not been caught earlier during prior quarterly inspections, and why the entry points had not been sealed, as we were told they would be. The inspector said that the quarterly service only covers "trapping" of rodents. Again, this is not what we were told when we signed up for the service. We did end up paying $2300 to Ecoshield to have this problem addressed. However, we then canceled our quarterly service. I called multiple other pest control companies to inquire about their quarterly service options, and I was told several times that it was the "industry standard" to seal up entry points for rodents upon signing up for services. Multiple other companies also told me that my rodent problem should have been remediated for free by Ecoshield, as it was their inspection deficits that ultimately led to the rodents being able to cause such issues in our crawlspace. I also want to point out that Ecoshield's services have dwindled over the years. For example, about a year ago, they stopped applying products to control spiderwebs. Also, if you call them, you never speak to someone who is in the United States, and I found that in general, language barriers were always an issue when trying to communicate with them via telephone. Another thing they started doing, was asking us to tip the technician who came to our home during the quarterly inspections. I have no idea why they thought asking for a tip was appropriate. Altogether, I think that they are just another greedy company who will lie to you in order to get your money, and then will just do the bare minimum.
