After our conversation she told me that my issue may not be rodents. They it may be another wildlife. They, could have easily tried to get me to buy the inspection and not be able to help. They were great and they took care of my paper wasp problem. The technician was professional, courteous and efficient.

We contacted PCI Pest Control to eradicate two wasp nests. Scary stuff. They responded to my phone call immediately and got me on the schedule the next day. The technician arrived at the beginning of my two hour window and was very polite and knowledgeable. We discussed the issue at hand, and the technician made some excellent recommendations. Because I was having them work on more than one nest, They offered to spray the exterior of my home to create a barrier to resist additional nests. If the nest seem to be active within the next few days, I will call them, and they will come back out and respray. We tried to take care of this on our own, but one of them was just too much of a problem. My hubby even got stung... Ouch!! Emergency - wasps in the bedroom! They nested in the attic, chewed through the ceiling, and swarmed indoors. We taped their entry points shut and they found new ways in, and stung one person in bed! A day later we found PCI - they came within hours and removed the wasps! Mark assessed and stabilized the situation, inside and out, and got the whole nest out - queen and all. He treated the attic and eaves so to eliminate stragglers too. Thank you - our house is safe now! (We're sleeping in the guest bedroom one more night, just to be sure.) Our technician went above and beyond to get at the issues we were having. I would definitely recommend PCI.

These people ripped us off, did shoddy work and then refused to honor their contract. We moved into our home almost one year ago. On the home inspection it was determined that we had rat droppings in the crawl space. We called PCI out for an estimate and they tell us it will be over $1,200 to secure the crawl space and attic as well as build a door for the crawl space. Being first time home owners we had no idea what was a fair price for such services so we agreed. Besides, the work was guaranteed for a year. Fast forward to May of this year. We were having some work done by another contractor and he informed us that "something big was crapping in our crawl space". We found this to be odd since we just paid a ton of money to NOT have something big crapping in our crawl space. My wife contacted PCI to have them come out and honor their contract. She told the woman that answers the phone what the contractor told us that something big like an Opossum had breached the crawl space they had secured only eight months earlier. The woman completely stonewalled her and even suggested that "it could be a cat, and we don't deal with those". I mean, if it's a rat, a cat or an elephant how 'bout you haul your sorry ass out here and fix your work that failed! She would not yield. She was defiant. When asked if someone would be coming out she said sure, for another $89. But what about the $1200 we already paid less than a year ago? "Well they have to be paid for their time" she squeaked. You see PCI like a lot of other shady businesses out here are eager to get you on their subscription service where they come out every couple months for a fee. Once they get you on that or in our case hit you with a huge initial bill they are done with you. Here's the best part. After we had to pay AGAIN to have our crawl space sealed by another company, they informed us just how shoddy PCI's work really was. I am including photos of their crappy work. Our new guy showed us the access points that had been filled with foam, something he said no professional exterminator should even have on their truck. They used a cheap chicken wire on the underside of the house that should only, maybe be used with an epoxy. This was used with the cheap foam. Even the custom made crawl space door was faulty because they did not use cement on it so rodents can eat right through it! It really makes us angry that we were screwed over like that but maybe someone else will see this revue and not use these people who smile in your face, then use sub-standard materials and ignore you and insult your intelligence on the phone when their work inevitability fails. read more

UPDATE: They have NEVER refunded me I don't know who they refunded but it wasn't us lol also my name on here is private so I don't know how they looked us up I am sad to have to write this review but they lied multiple times, left a mess throughout my home and damaged my attic. We called them out because we were hearing a bird going in a vent I showed the men what vent it was and they assured me a bird couldn't get in so I set up a camera after hearing it for weeks after that, sure enough a bird was getting in so I called them again and they again sent out the same person they sent before even though I asked them not too, but I decided he's already here so I'll give him another chance.... We'll he not only left a mess all throughout my home where I have small children and animals but he damaged the ceiling where you go into my attic and said the same thing even though I told him I have the bird going in on tape. He suggested shooting the bird if I saw it again....... I then called a different company who didn't even need to go in the attic to see the bird was getting in and then told me that, that vent was in between the bottom and top floors so there wasn't a way to get in that area unless they got on my patio cover and cothe vent from the outside (which they did) They showed me everything to prove that as well. Needless to say they went in my attic for no reason and lied about that vent being closed off and then left me with a huge mess and a damaged ceiling. Sam is very good at finding things that I have overlooked. Today she found 3 paper wasp nests that I was not aware of and disposed of them. She also checked the rodent bait boxes and let me know that there was no rodent activity. She sprayed for ants and also supplied a few ant boxes to put inside the house. It's peace of mind that I don't have to worry about rodents and insects in and around the house. She does great work. read more

I started on a quarterly plan with PCI right after purchasing my property out on the Steamboat Peninsula in the summer of 2017. This was not my "first rodeo" with pest control companies as I'd used them where I lived previously. In my opinion PCI's office staff and technicians have always provided me with "top drawer" service. Recently, I had an unusual circumstance arise (bald faced hornet nest behind the house). I feel PCI went above and beyond by providing me with a quick response, even though I didn't ask for it, and strives to keep me as a satisfied customer who will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service. We used to have a pretty bad spider problem in our house. We went through a couple of pest control companies but the problem seemed to get worse, after the different companies sprayed interior, we then had a beetle, and centipede problem. I heard about pci from a friend so we called and someone was here the next day. They did a exterior, and interior spray. They did an exterior and attic inspection of the house and we haven't seen a single spider or bug in the house since we have been with pci, which has been about a year and a half. I called and set up an appointment on 1 Aug 2017 and received an appointment for the following day for Wasp removal and spraying of my entire home. Philip arrived promptly and explained what he was going to do and continuously ensured I understood everything he was doing and answered all my questions. I was impressed by his thoroughness, detailed and systematic approach on taking care of my home inside, outside, underneath and top of my house. He inspected every little nook and crevice, nothing was left for a later surprise. He also showed me what we can do to better block the critters from entering and marked everything legible on a diagram. I can't say enough about Matt Purcell and his staff! On a Friday afternoon, and in the beginning stages of an addition to our home, we discovered what appeared to be some healthy termite activity. I called PCI, talked with the warm and very competent staff, and explained the urgency of our situation. Matt was able to make a visit that same evening and make a thorough inspection of foundation and crawlspace. (In the dark and in the cold.) He confirmed we had subterranean termites, and found a rat problem in addition. He was able to return first thing Monday morning, meet with us, answer our questions, and provide thorough detail on his recommendation for treatment. Talking with Matt was a joy - he listened, heard our concerns, and responded with clear and helpful information. His work was completed well before construction crews returned, and our addition continued on schedule. moved into this farm type home about 10 months ago and upon first moving in found evidence of mice, rats, and who knows what else. Along with wasps nest everywhere. After the first month or so I found 1 mouse and 1 rat (in an out building) both found because of PCI's setups. 8 months later and no more rodents or signs of rodents. I think I found my new pest control company. During remodel work on my old house, we found a very large wasps nest (maybe the size of a basketball) in the knee wall. I was at a stop work with my electrical contractor so I had to get someone out to take care of it ASAP before he could proceed. PCI did not flinch to take this job on. The receptionist, Candace, was great. She explained how even if I did not see wasps, there might be some hanging out for the cooler weather in the nest. She got me a next day appointment. She was very, very nice and went above and beyond for me. I was made aware of the charges upfront, and she was very thorough with invoicing and maintaining contact. The techs they sent out were so great. They did not hesitate to jump in our old, dusty, tight knee wall space, and get the nest out. They were quick and did not do anything extra that was not approved ahead of time. They did notice signs of other pests in the knee wall, so they were sure to notify me of the issues they saw.
