Anna and Orcun were so incredibly helpful and held my hand throughout the entire process which put my mind at ease! They made the everything from the selections to the installation so much easier for me! Thank you so much! Will definitely come back for my bathroom vanity countertops!!!!

Seek an alternative to United Granite and avoid hate and discontent in the future!…read more I'll try to keep offer you an abridged and more detailed review, depending on what kind of reader you are. Contributors who get too emotional and write long rants about a business or service are generally dismissed. Plus, if you're lazy, like me, you won't read anything that's too long. The most important takeaway is that I'm presenting facts, not opinions. So, I highly suggest that if you are in need of natural/stone materials (marble and granite), you read this review and consider avoiding United Granite. I've had nothing but trouble with United Granite from the jump. For those who are impatient, lack the time to read a long review, or haven't taken their Adderall, here's the short version. - Customer Service: Poor (UG doesn't stand by their work, doesn't stand by their products/materials, and repeatedly told me why they couldn't correct the problems I was having with my new granite surround while continually reminding me that I was lucky to get the purchase price I received for this particular type of granite because the price per square foot increased since the original purchase date. What are those problems? Two cracks. One upon installation, which they did a reasonable job collecting, and the second, appearing for no discernible reason at all over the holidays. Strangely, this second crack was in the flat horizontal cross-piece of granite at the top of the surround. When I contacted UG about this, they said there was nothing they were willing to do, and essentially refused to send anyone out to even take a look at the issue and try to correct it) - Tech/Installer Proficiency: Below Avg (template technician was totally lost and the installers made excuses as to why they couldn't or wouldn't do things that I've since learned are simple and rudimentary for a fireplace surround installation. And oh, yeah - they cracked a piece of granite while installing it) - Quality of Installation: Poor (installer cracked the floor slab in front of the hearth on day one. UG had to dispatch yet another technician to fill the crack and re-polish the slab. Of everyone I dealt with, this particular technician seemed to be the only one who really knew what he was doing, and his work was satisfactory) - Quality of Materials/Products: Poor (most of the detail about my issues with the granite are above, but how ridiculous is it that they offer granite that is so flimsy that it cracks upon installation, and cracks again for absolutely no apparent reason at all? What's more, why would UG increase the price of granite that is so fragile that it can't even support itself when affixed to a wall? I have since learned that the reason the price went up was more for UG's convenience than because of the actual 'high quality' of the granite. One of their customer reps disclosed to me that this particular type of granite was a real pain to deal with because it was so fragile. OK, well then why is UG even offering it to customers, and why did they increase the price by nearly 50%?) Bottom line - look elsewhere for your granite Bottom line: Consumers should avoid purchasing materials or paying for services provided by United Granite. Failing to do so would be a frustrating and costly mistake easily avoided by seeking more dependable and reputable alternatives for their granite and tile needs. They're not the only game in town, and as I mentioned above, spending a few more dollars per square foot will help you avoid a lot of hate and discontent in the future.

Carolina Countertops - Granite, Marble, and Quartz Countertops

This was the smoothest experience we've ever had getting new countertops. Carolina Countertops…read moreupgraded our dark, 20-year-old kitchen countertops and island, backsplash, stovetop, sink and faucet, and they did our powder room countertop, sink and faucet installation. We even had a bit of a difficult kitchen because they had to remove old granite on a number of walls. We reached out to Carolina Countertops the first week of December with the long-shot aspiration of upgrading our kitchen before Christmas. Josh was quick to respond, and by that Friday he was consulting with us at our house. Even with a snowstorm that weekend, he was able to meet us at the showroom the following Tuesday to pick our stone. One week later, the countertops were completely installed! The plumber was out that same day, then the backsplash was installed the following two days. From the time we reached out to Carolina Countertops to the final installation, the whole process took fewer than three weeks. And again, there was a snowstorm in the middle :) On top of that, Josh was a complete joy to work with. He was consultative, actually listened to our requests, and he offered up good suggestions when we got stuck. Nothing seemed like a problem for him, and in the end he proved his team's competence by expertly working through every hurdle that came their way. We can't recommend Carolina Countertops enough. Our friends and family have been thrilled with our new kitchen and powder room, and we were excited to have them completely done with a few days to spare before the holidays.

After my experience with some of the other contractors, I was losing faith and feeling like we were taking on more than we could handle in this project. Urban Source shined a new light on what seemed to be a dreadful process. We actually had another counter top business come out to do an estimate and after a week of not hearing back from them we went to Urban Source. They were able to get me a quote the same day and a drawing the next. We actually did hear back from the other business and their quote was MUCH higher for the same stone we chose. I'm glad it took them as long as it did. Anyone that has done a remodel knows you can't start another project till something else gets done so the process can take forever. You need people that are efficient and timely, these guys are it. We were assisted by Carla. She was new at the time, but did everything she could to keep us updated and was extremely helpful and patient throughout everything. I own my own business as well and hope they know what a gem they have. Thank you Carla, I hope you get to see this. I will ask for you again for future projects. You were very sweet and helpful during a stressful time for me. The countertops were installed about a month ago. They look great and I couldn't be happier. I really wanted to add pictures, but the house is still being remodeled and it's a bit messy.

The install went smooth with no bumps along the way, and our finished product looks, in her words, "sick". Can't say enough good things about this company. It was really cool to pick out our own slab and watch it be fabricated to fit perfectly in our kitchen. they explained to process to us and answered all questions and even helped us with the small details like corner radius and overhang which we had no idea about. To keep it short and sweet. These guys know their trade in and out and I would highly recommend using them for all your countertop and kitchen stone needs. They even made a vanity top with the remainder of the slab and gave us an unbelievable deal on that. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better Tomas found a way to wow us again.
