Demetrice showed up on time for the estimate on Sept. 27, 2020, and for the initial work on the floor on Oct. 7. Within five minutes of our leaving the house, he called to say that the job would cost $300 extra because it would require re-staining, to which we agreed. When we returned home two days later, 90% of the floor looked wonderful with the satin finish we had requested. However, the remaining 10% had not been sanded or received finish. When we called Demetrice, he agreed to come touch it up. Unfortunately, during this touch-up, he applied a very heavy coat of a shiny finish on the affected areas. When we called him back the second time, he said he would refinish the entire floor, which he did, with a less consistent finish than the first time. On one strip of the floor, his roller was not consistently covered with the poly, so the floor was striped. When he returned to refinish this strip, he again applied a shiny poly. Though he agreed to come back yet again to fix the problem, he never showed up and ignored our calls and texts. We have now finished this last strip of floor ourselves. Upon closer inspection, we have found numerous splotches of poly on the walls, woodwork, and carpet. The worst part is that Demetrice never apologized for our inconvenience of having our house disrupted for over a month or our having to pay for two nights in a hotel due to his negligence. We cannot recommend his work.

He did find the hinges I needed for the doors on a dresser even though the dresser old. He put them in but did not show me till after that he had to remove some wood pieces on side to get the hinges to fit. It looks bad but will look better when I stain exposed areas. My one major complaint is that one door is perfect and closes well. The other door is slightly off - when I close it rubs against the side of the dresser. In closing it has actually "shaved" off some of the wood on the door. I will have to sand the door to keep it from rubbing on the side of the dresser
