We recently had Triangle Floor come out to refinish our 500 sq ft floor. Getting the quote was very fast and Triangle Floor will work with you to modify the quote. After getting the quote and reviewing another quote, we decided to go with Triangle Floor since they have good review on Google. We request the first week of June and Triangle floor said they can start Monday (May 31) and finish by Friday (June 4) and we would be able to walk on our floor on Saturday. There was a few hiccups with the schedule and so the work didn't finish until Tuesday. Initially we were not wow with the floor, but Ricardo contacted us and wanted to visit and make it right. His team is coming back to my house to add another coat and he apologize for the communication and the change in the schedule that inconvenienced us. read more

I had to have my foundation repaired which meant I had to remove all my current flooring on my first floor which included manufactured hardwood, carpet and tile. After the foundation company came and repaired the foundation, I had Triangle Floors come out again and install new flooring in all the areas. Luxury Vinyl Plank in the living room, dining room and bedroom and tile in the master bath. Ricardo was great to work with and the crew that did the work were amazing. They did incredibly work and left everything clean when they were done. We hit a few unexpected snags but Ricardo figured out a way to solve the issues. I interviewed 3 different companies and was happy with Ricardo's description of what needed to happen and quote/timeline. We scheduled a time to select the stain color and 15 minutes after it was supposed to have happened, I received a call to cancel it saying we could do it the morning that they started. The day that the crew showed up to start, they didn't know anything about us selecting a color. They seemed to do a reasonable job sanding while we were there, but we went away for the end of the week/weekend so they could stain and when we returned we were horrified. There were several obvious spills/drips/smudges. The entire kitchen was splattered. There was a large area by the stairs that was poorly sanded and may have had a spill? There were large areas of sanding kerf marks left behind. A random "W", presumably from a box or can being set down twice with stain on the bottom of it? And my personal favorite were the FULL HANDPRINTS found in several places on the floor. Not only was this job poorly done, but they went ahead and put 3 coats of poly on top and left like nothing was wrong. I will say that Ricardo came to see our complaints and sent a different crew to come redo the entire floor. But that meant we had to be out of the house for an entire extra week at our own expense (especially not fun with a toddler). It also meant the floors had to be completely resanded, which decreases the overall life of the floors. The new crew was able to fix all of the issues with the stain. BUT the finishing was extremely disappointing. The contract does state that they are not responsible for any damage, but man I didn't expect so much! There is stain on every surface in the house- doors, door knobs, walls, trim, appliances. There is wood on the edge of the steps where the spindles are on our staircase and of the 15 spindles, 6 of them were broken. When we asked about it, they glued them together very poorly (see pictures) and the first thing my two year old did was pull on it and have it snap off in his hand. A two year old with a pointy stick is never a good thing... We also paid for them to install new quarter round, which they did, but it was not caulked, painted, or finished in any way. My assumption was that the quarter round would be finished and not just installed- this one is on me, but just FYI for anyone else that would make the same assumption. We had to hire a painter to come and caulk all of the quarter round and completely repaint the baseboards because of how much stain was on them. By the letter of the law, all of these 'risks' existed in the contract that we signed, but I have never been so disappointed in a 'professional' job. Despite them having to completely redo it, which I understand was at a cost to them, they did not offer any discount or financial compensation for the loss of occupancy time or longevity of our floors. This is the type of service you only need once every decade, so it probably doesn't matter to them much but I would never hire them again. read more

I am glad that many of you had a good experience. We did not. The floors look great, but Triangle Floors was challenging to work with. They appear to be short-staffed, so they were often late, the quality of work has suffered, and they made mistakes. We had to check behind them. At first, they delivered the wrong flooring to our home. They did not complete the flooring behind our refrigerator and stove, until we took pictures and complained. Door jambs were cut higher than needed. They had only one installer, and when he moved our refrigerator, he tilted it causing a spill inside. He also broke the door on our water filter housing. They said they would fix it, but after waiting 50 days, we gave up and released them, notifying them that we would not use them again. Maybe they'll get better when they hire more installers. They were able to get out to me ASAP to review the project and get me a quote later that day. They were very quick to reply by email with scheduling information and stayed in close touch with me regarding a few questions I had. The install was perfect! I had already purchased some dog-friendly laminate flooring and was in need for installers. They had no issues laying the flooring and had everything done in a single day. When we called Triangle Floors, Ricardo was very responsive & timely with his estimate. The showroom had many options for us to choose from for the installation of our hardwood floors on the entire first floor, hallway upstairs & the stair treads/banister going to the 2nd floor. Ricardo was very helpful in helping us choose the best floor for our family. We LOVE the Armstrong 3/4 solid hardwood 5" white oak plank flooring we chose. His crew was very good from the installation of the flooring to the crew that stained the stairs & built/installed the entire banister with new hand rails & balusters. We love everything. Ricardo showed great care to make sure we were happy with everything each step of the way. He cared enough to come out himself one evening at 8pm when a water pipe was accidentally hit during the installation process. He fixed it until he was able to have a plumber come out the next day to fix it permanently. His efforts & care meant a lot to us. We could not be happier with the work Triangle Floors did at our home. Ricardo and his crew at triangle floors is amazing. I was hesitant to use them because his price beat out everyone else and I needed top quality for my home going on the market. (Over $700 k) I worked in construction and have observed contractors cutting corners to make more profit. Not triangle Floors. For example, they weaved the new floor into the old existing floor with is difficult and extra work but it makes a big difference. My real estate agent and a side decorator were also impressed and now plan to use them! They also provided excellent recommendations on my new floor color and went the extra mile to put down a number of different stains to help my choice. I can honestly say that Brothers Flooring is the best contractor I have ever dealt with. They showed up when they said they would and were super responsive and easy to work with. Impeccable work and very tidy too. We had them tear out linoleum and carpet and replace with tile and engineered hardwood. They even hauled everything away when they were done.
