Difficult to see, the countertop is not smooth and is very gritty. The granite will also not seal due to this.
    Brett P.

I would not recommend working with this company. I had an issue at first where the countertop was a significant distance from the wall (backsplash would not conceal) I will say, after a bit of back and forth they did come back and fix and provide a discount for my troubles. I reached out after with some damage that was done to the stone while the workers moved the countertop closer to the wall and was completely ignored. The issue is, the slab used is of low quality. I have sealed the granite multiple times and it still will not pass the darkening test. It's difficult to see in photos provided but the countertop is not very smooth, my house is consistently very clean and every morning I have to wipe the countertops down. It is a very gritty countertop and I'm incredibly disappointed with the end result, I would not recommend using this company for newly installed countertops due to this. Based on everything explained here, I don't expect the company to reach out and I am likely stuck with a granite countertop that will need replaced sooner rather than later. I'm simply posting this so others are aware of the potential Stone purchased: Luna Pearl (Granite) 12/1/2021 Update: Same person who I originally dealt with (Reyhan) who I think is the Raleigh location leadership figure. Has direct messaged me on Yelp, mind you they also responded to my Google review and stated that someone would be reaching out to me (no one did although, I didn't expect anyone to) Reyhan is the same person whom I dealt with directly to have the original job fixed and made correct, also worth noting she is the same person who gave me a discount, for whatever that is worth. She is also... the same person who completely ignored my message politely asking to have the granite repaired after is was damaged by the workers who came back and reset the granite into a correct spot. (I'm happy to provide email proof of the message + lack of response if needed) In the message I received I am simply told that I am not sealing my countertop, that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. Completely ignored the fact that the granite is not smooth and has clear divets all over it when in direct sunlight. While I am no granite expert, I am intelligent enough to understand that granite needs to be sealed every few months and spills need to be wiped up (apparently they thought my issue is that I didn't know that, shocking...) I hope this review helps someone understand what they're potentially getting themselves into while doing business. Shop around, get quotes. Do your due diligence and pray that if you do work with Urban source you don't have any issues like I have.

Absolutely abysmal experience. Used vendor as Lowe's countertop installer for a 12+k quartz…read moreinstallation. Vendor took weeks to come out and measure and would only make appts on Mondays- and wouldn't give a range for time until literally the day prior. Then took weeks for the change order to "be available" "because software isn't working to accept it". They never called me for weeks- I had to pester them for the appt. Then there was no appt for weeks- but they were going to do it all the same day on a Monday- so we again had to take the day off work. Then the week before it was to be installed, they texted another appt date randomly for the following Monday. When I called, they said they had split the delivery into two dates and assigned the following Monday "automatically". They would give no reason and basically said it was our problem and if we couldn't also take that day off as well, we could cancel but they would keep the $2500 deposit but return the rest. They also told us that we would have to "notch the island cabinets yourselves". I will never, EVER use them again and I absolutely 0/10 would not recommend them to anyone.

I hired Honeycutt to redo my guest bathroom floor. I'd it done last year by KJ Natural Floor. The…read moretechnician laid the floor tiles unlevel even though it was on a level concrete slab. He blamed the floor but it was level and it's on a slab which he also claimed. I found Honeycutt and Travis came from the Charlotte location to for an interview and give estimate. I like Travis. He quoted a price that was a little high but I was ready to get the floor done because I was scheduled to have Ankle replacement surgery (September 3) and then go to a nursing facility for 10-12 weeks. He rushed to get me on scheduled. He contracted a crew who is very competent BUT wasn't reliable. Travis said that they did million dollar properties. My home is not a million dollars home but it is mine and I want the same services because my money pays just as a millionaire does. Martin is the supervisor and Hugo, his tile guy is capable of doing great work but you have to stay on both. Martin would come with Hugo to get him started and leave without telling me. Hugo would do the same. I had to call Travis several times to find out where there where and if they were at lunch or done. Travis said that he had multiple jobs going and he pulled them to help me. I appreciate that but my job was not a priority. The first day, Hugo came late, removed the tile, worked for an hour and left. He didn't tell me and left the back door open and the garage. Travis said that he may be at lunch but he could have told me. Travis did speak with both Martin and Hugo. Hugo would tell me each time from then on. I just had to work on his schedule. He was supposed to remove the tile down to the concrete slab and level but he left all of the thin-set and placed the tile that I purchased on top of the old. He made it level but the floor is set high. I have issues with falling so my concerns with falling is great. I purchased two marble transition pieces; one thin and the other wide. Hugo said that he used the new thin but it looks identical to the old. The wide transition piece was out of stock. Travis said that he go get it and let me deal directly with Martin but he'd be available to supervise. He was just going to let them do the the work and give me the price. Travis offered to clean my bath because I wasn't able. I purchased cleaning supplies and mops but he must have been busy with opening the Raleigh location because he did not come back to clean. He is working alone so I get it. He asked where I would be at the nursing home so that he could send flowers. Martin has not contacted me about the transition piece so I am going with another company. He did the quarter round and it was awful. Hugo came and did it and it looked great. He also removed two tiles that didn't go with the other tiles. Travis had him fix it. Obviously, they both have specialties but just getting them to do it was the issue and that is why I gave a 3.
