This was not what was said when I purchased the cabinets. Had a very bad experience and they came across as they DO NOT CARE. The conversation started out by they would send someone out then it led to not sending someone out that there would be an extra charge and I asked how much and they said they would have to look at it. Then the conversation led to they sell cheap cabinets and apparently there is no warranty. They do not know their product line like most companies would. I am going to report this to the BBB as I am tired of companies promising everything when you buy and later when you have an issue NOT ACTING OR NOT CARING.

We set up the whole project in a few short taps on his iPad and it went flawlessly!!! Drew was awesome to work with! Uploaded photos. We had a Karastan LVT flooring installed on our second floor; the total cost for…read morematerials and labor was over $17,000. Since then, we've run into multiple problems, and honestly, it's been incredibly frustrating. Problem 1: Promised One Thing, Got Another We chose a more expensive floor than we originally planned because we were told it had a flush stair cap trim piece. That was important to us because we wanted a seamless, flush transition at the top of the stairs -- no overlap. The flush pieces were on our order and we paid for them. But when the installers showed up, they used an L-shaped piece that created a noticeable lip. When we asked about it, they told us a flush piece didn't actually exist for that floor. So basically, we paid more based on bad information, and there's nothing they could (or would) do to fix it once the floor was already being installed. Problem 2: Boards With Permanent Marker Some of the boards that were installed have purple marker lines under the clear coating. We were told it happened during manufacturing and couldn't be cleaned. The installers admitted they should have caught it and not used those planks. They offered us a few hundred dollars off or said they could replace them, but doing so would require ripping up a large section of flooring, which could cause more damage. They planned to reuse the removed boards, even if they were damaged in the process. Since there wasn't enough extra material to replace them all we'd have to pay for additional boards ourselves if we didn't want them to reuse what they ripped out. We decided not to risk it, covered those boards with furniture and rugs, and took the discount. Problem 3: Gaps in the Hallway In the hallway, 4 boards were cut too short. So now, when the humidity changes, they shift, leaving a 1/2" gap between the floor and the shoe molding, exposing the subfloor. That's about two feet of wall with subfloor showing for half the year. They tried to fix it by gluing and nailing the boards down, but that only worked temporarily. Again, the solution offered was to tear up a big section of the floor, but with the usual warning that it might cause more damage. So once again, we left it alone. Looking back, we probably should have taken the risk of further damage and let them replace those 4 boards. It looks awful. Problem 4: Boards Separating in the Bonus Room In our large bonus room, about 20'x24', some of the boards have started separating, leaving visible gaps. At this point, I haven't even contacted them about this issue, based on how the other problems were handled, I'm not optimistic that anything helpful will come from it. So this one is on me. This year, when we replaced the floor on the main level, we went with a completely different company. When we showed them photos of the upstairs install, they were shocked and told us we should have filed formal complaints and probably could have taken it even further. Honestly, the whole process took so much time, stress, and energy that we just didn't have it in us to keep pushing. If you're considering working with them, be careful, make sure you can actually get what they promise, and keep a close eye on the installation. After reading other reviews, I'm really hoping this was just a bad install crew and that they're no longer around.

I hired David Tile off a recommendation from a general contractor. The purpose was not to save…read moremoney but rather find someone honest and dependable. I had removed my microwave and replace it with a high end Range Hood. I wanted backsplash added in it place in and are 10 sq feet. I purchased the tile, grout. I hired David Tile to complete the job. They gave me an estimate for labor only and I agreed. The job was not completed correctly and they indicated they would come back in two days and clean the excess grout and cement along with fixing the pin holes in the grout which is normal. This would be their responsibilty based on the original scope of work. I also wanted the grout extended six inches lower. David Tile agreed to fix all the issues. This was November 2025. They continued to have excuse after excuse and cancel numerous appointments. They did not come back and clean the backsplash. I had to have someone come in and regrout what they did as well as extend the backsplash lower to my original plan. Their last appointment was set in February 12, 2026 at 2:45pm. I called and spoke with Angel and he indicated they had truck issues that morning and would not make it (They let me wait for them and I had to call them). David Tile then rescheduled for Sunday, February 15, 2026. On Sunday they did not call nor keep their appointment. I have to assume my job was too small and they had better things to do. I have learned over the years that a company is only as good as their work. I would not hire nor recommend David Tile. They fail to communicate or follow thru with the service they were paid to complete. SPANISH VERSION: Contraté a David Tile por recomendación de un contratista general. So, I called Roberta the owner about my problem and he told me he would get someone on it and that it would be about $200 or $300 when he had a chance. 2 or 3 weeks go by with phone tag and no one showing up. I took off for a 4 day stay in the mountains to help someone out from hurricane Helene. When I got back more promises and still no one showed up. So, I called around and got a hold of Maurice a guy that did floor repairs for other businesses that put floors in. Maurice stated that his standard price for repairs was $300, he took longer than expected and the pieces that had saved for this issue had swollen so they did not fit and Maurice had to modify and return to repair it. Maurice mentioned that Roberta's crew did a good job on the floor installation, but that I paid too much for my floor. Going prices was $7 a square ft. in 2018 not $11. a square ft. I tend to barter with car sellers and roofers, now I will barter with everyone. So, in short if you have a problem with your flooring, Roberta owner of Tri Point Flooring will have you hanging. If I live here long enough to refinish the flooring guess who I will not call?

As of 3-2-2025 Horrible Experience!!! Sloppy and negligent-…read moreOwner (Mr. Roberto Rivera) admitted that a contaminated applicator messed up hardwood finish in EVERY room. We will need to refinish the entire 1st floor all over again!!! *Caution: After the problems became evident, I asked Mr. R. for a copy of the 1-year warranty. We paid for it and yet he REFUSED to provide it! Then came a disturbing e-mail from Mr. R in which he asked me to remove my online reviews of his company in exchange for providing the warranty info. He said, "...remove all online reviews" in exchange for "giv[ing] [me] detailed warranty info, ...". I wonder if this warranty even exists. In the future I'll always ask for the warranty UPFRONT. ALERT- Tri Point's Approach to Summarizing Google Reviews Tri Point just unveiled a new "corrected" summary of their Google Reviews after my "1 Star" posting in which I noted they reported NONE of the 9 "1 Star" reviews (see attached screen shot). What's new? 1) Overall score adjusted downward from 4.9 to 4.8 Stars and 2) "1 Star" reviews have magically appeared while "3 Star" reviews have now disappeared from their bar graph. Interestingly, their summary of detailed reviews excludes all but 1 of 9 "1 Star" and all reviews below "5 Star", i.e., 14 "4" and 2 "3" Star. I would NEVER have hired Tri Point had I known of this deceptive practice. I'm smarter now and won't so easily in the future allow the wool to be pulled over my eyes. I ask Mr. R. to reach out and correct mistakes I may have inadvertently made in this Alert. 1. Tri Point Failed to Keep Their Promise to Refinish in 4 Days. Crew's negligence caused weird staining on floors. Mr. Rivera said floors need to be fully refinished again. But we expected the first refinishing would provide a " .flawless execution that meets & exceeds [our] expectations" as stated on Tri Point's website. 2. Mr. Rivera's Opinion of Quality of His Crew's Work His on-line reply to this review states "...the floor did not represent our usual quality of work". During his visit (see photos) he said: "All very weird"; "Very, very embarrassed"; "Something happened during application"; "...applicator was a bad applicator"; "The applicator in the van got contaminated...cross contamination"; "These are lap marks"; "...A huge inconvenience [for] you"; "I know this is overwhelming"; "I couldn't accept this". Mr. R did not perform a final inspection of the refinishing, and it seems neither did a crew member. 3. Mr. R's "solution" Refinish the entire 1st floor for a 2nd time. 4. Impact of a 2nd Refinishing on Homeowners We work from our home offices and cannot close our business for 2 consecutive weeks. Moreover, a 2nd refinishing would require a repeat of the entire process, e.g., close business for a week, pack up 1st floor belongings, place all furniture in storage, disconnect washer/driver/refrigerator, move to temporary housing for a week, clean dust (e.g., walls, windows, cabinet doors and drawers, floors), and move back in. 5. Mr. R's Refusal to Engage in Direct Communication Following my Yelp review Mr. R. posted it's important to have direct dialogue with folks. Yet, he has refused all my requests for such a dialogue & conveyed this by e-mail- "...No further communication is needed." 6. Failure to Disclose All Costs for Refinishing We were not told that following replacement of shoe molding (aka 1/4 round) there would be a visible unpainted gap along all 1st floor baseboards. Mr. R. later acknowledged he knew this problem would arise and we had to sort this out for ourselves. 7. BBB Rating Had I checked I would have discovered a B- rating and that would have been a deal breaker for me. Current rating has dipped to D+ as a result of my complaint that BBB describes as "Not Resolved". 8. Is Mr. Rivera In Unilateral Breach of Contract? I'm not an attorney so I can't answer this question. But Final Invoice balance = $0 and is marked "Paid". While we've met our obligation, Mr. R refuses to provide a copy of the 1 Year Warranty so that we may understand options for mitigating floor failures during this period.

It was great to have a reliable point person through the entire process. Brentwood called me the day before the installation to confirm, which I appreciated. Installation team showed up the following morning on time. The team consisted of three men- all courteous, experienced, and hard-working. 1650 sq ft of carpet including two staircases, old removed and new installed all in one day. They worked for nearly 12 hours! But I never saw them rush; they took great care in their work. They cleaned up (inside and outside) and vacuumed completely before leaving. I'm so glad we did not go the big box store route. For my wife and me, having Wes as our point person and knowing a high-quality install team would be doing the work were invaluable.

We bought a new house that had Shaw engineered hardwood floors in some areas and carpeting in other…read moreareas. Our daughter has allergies so we needed to get rid of the carpeting. We found Preferring Flooring on the Shaw Website. Preferred Flooring did a great job. First, Shaw is a little weird because they don't offer the same products to the consumer market that they offer to new home builders. Preferred Flooring found us the equivalent Shaw engineered hardwood that matched perfectly. Second, they did a great job installing the floors including removing the carpeting from the stairs and installing and staining the stair treads to match the Shaw engineered hardwood. Third, they gave us a reasonable price and came in on budget. We also had them do a little tile work in the master bath, which turned out great. Their salesman Jeff Parker is great to work with as are their installation crews. We highly recommend Preferring Flooring and would absolutely use them again.
