Located across the street from the Marina. If you like vodka, try the Vibe Check (Ketel One with cucumber and mint) and Prar'd Up (Grey Goose, St Germaine). Both very good and refreshing cocktails. We ordered several appetizers but a couple of my favorites are the Whipped Feta, the Meatballs and a stuffed artichoke. All three were so delicious . I had such an amazing experience last time at A PCH that we went back today for lunch. I ordered the Lobster Cobb salad and it was delicious! The lobster and all the ingredients tasted fresh. The white balsamic dressing was absolutely tasty. This has got to be my favorite Cobb salad. Service was excellent, our waiter was great. He was friendly, tentative, and professional. Came late on July 3 and they were booked solid. The GM Ryan took down my number and directly texted me and said a check back in about 30 minutes. I came back and he worked as magic and helped my family with a beautiful table with a great view of the firework show. The food here I was skeptical of, however once the first appetizer came out, I knew we were in for a great meal. Duck pate, great, pita with whipped feta amazing, meatballs were OK, and we also ordered the truffle fries as a starter, which was amazing. Their fries here are double fried, which gives it a very nice crisp on the exterior and a soft fluffy interior. The sourdough bread here is perfect and I probably way too many slices. Lastly for entrées, I got the burger, which could've been a little bit juicier, but it was very flavorful. The rigatoni was absolutely amazing and was told that the pasta is homemade. We also tried the lobster cob which was nice pretty standard. And lastly, we got the tomato soup and grilled cheese which was elevated but nothing extra extraordinary. The servers are 11/10 they're that sweet and attentive, the vibe is upscale comfort casual, the food is always delicious and leaves as a clean plate, and the view over the water is so pretty that you'll feel the need to mention it once or thrice. The oysters are always fresh (lookin at you San Pedro's Fish Co), the rolls make you wish you ordered two of the same, the drinks and drink selections are on point, and again, the staff elevate the experience. Called in on Monday and was helped immediately. The call dropped, they found my number and called me right away. The charge was valid and an up charge for truffle fries for my sister. I appreciated how thorough everyone is here. The place is very clean. Great views even from behind the bar. Fun people sitting everywhere. They have a Photo Booth that is awesome as well. Pricing is very standard for these days. Happy Hour was great. $4 off the cocktail drinks. Restrooms are shared (unisex). I liked that idea. I didn't mind at all. Restrooms were clean. Place has a speakeasy vibe. The squash blossoms were yummy. I try them everywhere I go. I also order the hubby and daughter the Spicy Yellowtail tuna. They loved it. My sister ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich with truffle fries. We had two reservations. The first reservation was at 4:30pm (Sam) for apps and drinks. The birthday girl was late but no worries because we also had dinner reservations at the same place at 6:30pm (Delia). The birthday menu was such a great and personal touch. I've only experienced that at Ruth Chris. Parking in the structure is about $6 . The restaurant itself was a bit hard to find. We have been to this area a lot but did not know A PCH was in here. We came to celebrate my sister's birthday. No one came to sing happy birthday or offer a complimentary dessert for her. I'm pretty bummed about that. We will definitely be back but I won't be back to celebrate birthdays here. I did see that it is offered. But somehow my sister was missed. I know she is bummed about this. I am too. So, I'm keeping my original five-star review, but I had to jump back in with an update on their happy hour menu! I brought a couple friends with me this time--I've been here a few times already (see my last review), and not only have I always loved the food and the service, but of course... the view!!! The ambience at this restaurant is just gorgeous, so naturally I wanted my friends to experience it too. We got there at 5:30, perfect timing for happy hour. We ordered the whipped feta, the fancy pizza, and the burger--spaced out so we'd get each one separately. All of these were from the happy hour menu and honestly such a great deal, especially for the portion sizes. Whipped feta: absolutely beautiful presentation, the perfect appetizer size. So tasty with the honey drizzle and roasted tomatoes, served with this pizza-pressed style bread. Delicious. Fancy pizza: prosciutto, burrata, arugula, honey drizzle, and a lightly seasoned herb spread underneath--not pesto, but so flavorful. And it was a legit medium-sized, Napoli-style pizza. If you saw my previous review about that other upscale pizza place we tried a few weeks ago... this was basically the same style pizza but WAY better. More flavor, better crust, and $17 cheaper! I mean... come on. Burger: blue cheese, crispy fries, full-sized entrée--not a "happy hour portion," just a happy hour price. Again, delicious. We finished with the New York cheesecake, which was super creamy, topped with blueberries and a big dollop of fresh cream. Our entire bill came to $75 for three full entrées and a dessert. At the Italian place I reviewed before this? $75 got us one mediocre pizza and a soggy, overdressed Caesar--for TWO people. So yeah... huge difference. I highly recommend A PCH for the food, the service, and the views. And a quick shoutout to the hostesses--every time we come, they greet us with such warmth and friendliness. My husband, I celebrated our anniversary last night and had a fabulous dinner. The Manager Melissa brought over two glasses of champagne to toast with which was very sweet of her to do so. What a beautiful establishment! Upon arrival, we walked through an outdoor mall and headed upstairs to be greeted by the host & hostess at the entrance. They were very welcoming and accommodating as my friend asked if we could be seated by the window with a view of the harbor. The ambience was like a classy, semi elegant burlesque type of vibe with this awesome view of the harbor. We only came for drinks but decided to order the grilled octopus appetizer. Our waitress was funny, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided us with some great recommendations for dri Nks and food. I ended up ordering a Moscow Mule (not pictured) and my friend ordered the Up In Smoke (Old Fashion). I'm not a fan of Old Fashions but the Up in Smoke was probably the highlight of everything we had. It had this sweet chocolate smokey taste to it that I was hooked on and stayed in my mouth for a while. I was definitely a fan and will probably get that the next time I go back. Don't get me wrong, the Moscow was good too and they don't skimp on the alcohol, but that Up In Smoke was thee one! Lastly, the grilled octopus was a hit! It had chorizo picante, roasted potatoes, confit tomato, aji amarillo sauce and red onions. This dish was amazing and the addition of chorizo really set this apart from grilled octopus I've had from other restaurants. Arrived at 11:30am when the restaurant first opened. Let me say that the hostess that greeted us so warmly and with such gracious friendliness really made our day! She was so genuinely enthusiastic about us being there for lunch it reminded me of the old school customer service experience at any fine dining establishment. The restaurant is beautiful with a lovely view of the bay. They have heaters throughout in case people get chilly. The booths are the vintage velvet aesthetic. I ordered the chicken with the pasta substitute as per the waiter's recommendation. It was delicious! Usually I don't like ordering chicken because it's never that great but this chicken dish is super flavorful! I highly recommend. The only annoying part of my experience (which may not be the restaurants' fault so I didn't dock a star) was that they do not validate parking. So after the 2 hours complimentary parking be prepared to pay for parking. Our friend who lives in the area told us right outside the lot is free street parking that would have saved us a good $25. Beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views of sunset over the marina. Interesting, intriguing and mouthwatering menu options. Excellent service, We shared the duck liver pate which was a treat... My husband had an excellent salmon dish and I enjoyed the "dirty pasta "which had a duck Ragu. All the portions were impressive! Definitely not skimping on portion sizes because it's an upscale restaurant... In fact I had to pack home half of my dinner and will enjoy it later! Drinks were sophisticated and enjoyable... especially sitting in our cozy booth looking out over the sunset. When we finally got to deer we could not resist the delicious apple tart with ice cream. Even the coffee was excellent... We tipped our server well because she had done an excellent job. As we left, the bar seemed crowded and very lively. The chefs know what they're doing, the staff and hosts were great, and even the manager was walking around making sure everything was running smooth without interrupting folks meals. Great spot! First of all, the service was great. Immediately the hostess was so nice. She greeted us and helped us find a table where I would have a good view of the football game on tv and stay warm. Then our server was very nice and knowledgeable. Afterwards our bartenders at the bar were so friendly and nice. That made for a really good experience. The restaurant is chic and trendy but you don't have to dress up. Love Long Beach that way! There is bread service which is much appreciated. We started with the octopus (amazing and perfectly cooked) with the lobster roll (I wasn't crazy about it-didn't think it was anything special but my friend really liked it). Then we had the pasta with duck ragu (very good and a large portion) and the Cesar salad (standard, nothing special but solid). The best part? Came here for a summer dinner. Service was actually quite good - it's a shame the owners and management are doing everyone dirty pretending to know anything about food and restaurant design on any par with their pricing. You'll realize something is off the moment you walk into the restaurant - this is prime waterfront real estate, yet more than half the seating and the bar are blocked off from the view. Poorly chosen seating arrangements and design makes it feel like two entirely different restaurants - a classy open dining area with natural light where you can take in the sunset...and a gaudy dark dive bar with oversized booths and awkward lighting. I had the unfortunate experience of sitting at a dark, unnecessarily tall, booth for four...where an overhead spotlight shown directly down on my head, whilst the center of the table was dark...clearly consistent with the overall lack of attention to detail. Most importantly lacking is menu ideation and execution - nothing is original, unusual, or exceptional - so why are the prices? Did the head chef go to culinary school or just work at Acapulco for a few years? Such a low effort menu could be compensated for with excellent execution, but salads, pastas, and fish we all tried were average or below in taste/execution. To add insult to the injurious pricing of this pedestrian fair, the portions are laughably small. See my 3oz of Halibut for $60 - it was probably 2oz after being cooked and was paired with a measly 1/3cup of risotto, three baby carrots and a teaspoon of avocado. Screw me, right??! 2 stars for the attentive server. I can pay half this for same or better food with larger portions at dozens of other restaurants in LB. Won't be back. read more

I have dined at A PCH a handful of times now, have never had a bad experience. The food is always good, I've tried multiple items and have never been let down. They make a great old fashioned. I think the only think I'd say is, the craft beer selection is severely lacking. I know that isn't their main focus, and that's understood. But with such a great bar program otherwise, I feel like a couple more selections would be beneficial. Long Beach has some great beers, even just some cans from Beachwood, Ism, and/or Ambitious. I know they have clientele looking for a better selection, because I have talked to multiple people who have echoed the same sentiments. read more
