On top of that, asked for $200+part cost for changing the water valve! When called and complained, insisted that they mentioned this fee when scheduled while I'm sure they didn't. We needed our Viking Refrigerator Ice Maker repaired. After more than 5 visits over 4 months, and charges over $1000.00. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Harold, the manager and one of the service technicians, is either incompetent or delusional. He has been working on our Viking oven since March 2023 (it is now late November). He has come out 8 separate times and the oven is in worse shape than when we started this process. Harold is very good at blaming users, Viking and any other cause aside from himself. Started with an oven door that would not close. First technician shattered the glass on the door. Later they came to replace the door and hinges. That took two or three visits. And then the oven stopped turning on. They replaced the motherboard twice! Now the oven door doesn't close AGAIN and one of the eyes on the stove does not work. UNREAL! read more

We used A-Nova on both our new Viking range and our old Viking range and had wonderful service. Zaher was our service rep and he knew exactly what to do and did not waste time. He was knowledgeable about our appliance, detected the issue right away, and reported back to Viking in order for them to approve the repair and send the part. Zaher arrived on time for all three appointments, keep the area clean and was respectful. I was in contact the front office at A-Nova and received wonderful customer service there as well. Mory arrived on time, gave me an estimate that included labor and immediately began replacing the gasket on my Miele washing machine (a bit more involved than I imagined). After putting the appliance through its cycles, he discovered and quickly attended to a residual issue. Mory is not hesitant to tackle and complete the job; he is truly a problem- solver. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I was loyal to this company and hired them to come out many times for an ice maker repair. The issue persisted for many many months. Company continued to charge me for diagnostic and repairs but NEVER fixed the problem. They claim it was working after a visit in May, but it worked for about an hour before breaking again. They came back and insisted I should replace a water line which would fix the issue. WRONG. Another visit that was a waste of money. I tired to have them come take another look after returning from an extended trip. Was told that since its over 30 days they would have to charge me ANOTHER diagnostic fee. After explaining I was away and going through the fact that this has been an ongoing issue, I was told to read the contract and to call SubZero about the issue (since they clearly cannot figure out the problem).This company is more concerned with making money then they are fixing your appliance. I would NEVER recommend hiring A-NOVA Appliance unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket. read more

I just had a great experience with Zee from A-Nova Appliance. I have a 20 Viking range that needed some TLC. Zee is professional, efficient and has a strong focus on customer service. He had to come to my house twice. The first visit was to diagnose the issues and the second was to install needed parts. Each time he called me an hour before the scheduled window to tell me when he would arrive. He arrived on time and efficiently took care of the tasks at hand. Harold came out to service my Viking Range. Found A-Nova through the Viking website. Pros: Harold was fantastic about discussing my range with me - how to work it, tips and tricks, etc. he spent a lot of time educating me. Cons: I had to call to follow up about a part ordered, rather than being notified that the part has come and they were ready to install. But most annoying was that I had to pay for a second service call (after the warranty for labor expired - my fault) to fully fix the problem (a gas leak ). It was only during this second call that a machine to test for gas leaks was utilized, and the source of the leak fixed. Why wasn't that employed the first time? I will still likely use A-Nova again, but insist on having the problem fully fixed- or call back right away if the issue needs to be addressed again. read more

I really wanted to like this company. I hired A-Nova a few months ago to fix my Viking range and Harold was great during his first visit. He was funny and knowledgeable and an all-around nice guy. He said I needed a part, an ignition panel, for my old Viking, so he ordered it (around $325!) and said he will be back. He charged me the service visit fee, which was fine since I wouldn't have to pay again when he returned within a 30-day window. The install went well but then a few days later, my stove still wasn't working right. I called right away and Harold realized that he ordered a part that belonged to a newer model Viking. He ordered the right part, but the company never called back to let me know when it arrived, so I had to call to remind them. Harold came back for the third time and once again the install went well. A few months later, my Viking range started having problems again - this time I have instances when the flames won't even ignite. Since a few months went by, I knew A-Nova would charge me the service fee again, so for that reason and the fact that my stove is still not working after three visits told me that A-Nova is probably not the company I want to work with. read more

I used them about two years ago to fix a Viking refrigerator and stove. Work was ok then. Two or three weeks ago, I set up an appointment to look at a different stove issue. On the morning of the appointment, I called to confirm the appointment window and ask that the tech call 45 minutes before coming. Phone operator said that she would do so immediately. Technician never showed up, never called, and office never called. I wasted an entire working day waiting for them at home. This company is either mismanaged, disorganized, or does not care. Regardless of reason, if you value your time and want to avoid aggravation, do yourself a favor---use a different service company. read more

After Zee the technician left last week, he called me a couple days later to see if my dishwasher was working any better. Alas, it wasn't, and he suggested that he come back to replace a valve, which had to be ordered in advance. Of course I agreed to have him come back and fix it in any way possible. He was very communicative about ordering the part for my antiquated dishwasher, and he came back to attempt to install the new valve just a few days later. After completely disassembling the dishwasher, he installed the valve, which then started leaking. So he tightened the valve, and we started up the dishwasher. It started making a terrible noise it had never made before, and emitting a strange burning electric smell. As we isolated the sound and disassembled the machine again to see where it was coming from, he realized that an entirely different part needed to be replaced. Again, he wrapped up, and said he would call me later to see if he could find the part and let me know the cost. So I wrote him a $200 check for ($95 for labor and $109 for visit), and hoped for the best. Zee called later the same day and left a voicemail saying "Miss Nadine, the part is not available, *click* No further information, no further assistance, no pleasantries. So, 2 afternoons and $325 later, I have a dishwasher that somehow ended up more broken than when he started. I understand not all appliances can be fixed and that the technician is not a magician. I told him there was a burning smell before, and he kept insisting it was because of valves clogged with food and my improperly installed garbage disposal. Alas, the burning smell was coming from a burnt circuit board. I really wish he had better researched the brand and therefore better diagnosed the problem before. This would have saved me time off work and money spent. Also, while Zee was here working, I was his assistant the whole 2 hours he was here - holding things while he drilled, turning the fuse on and off a hundred times, handing him paper towels, etc. I'm happy to help, but he was not at all understanding of cutting into my workday. Both when he was working at my house and when he would call me several times during a workday to make an appointment, he complained to me that I was difficult to reach. Ultimately, I'm not sure if I would call this company again. read more

I did not have a good experience with A-Nova Appliance. I called in early June 2015 for a problem with a Frigidaire dishwasher that wasn't draining. Harold came over the following week and, by pulling on the various drainage tubes, was able to get the dishwasher to drain. I paid $125 or so for that. We ran the dishwasher once without a problem. The second time we ran it, it drained all over the kitchen floor. We called again and had to wait another few weeks for an appointment. When Harold came over, he said that the seal was the issue with the draining and that he'd have to order to part. Another week or so went by and I called to see if the part had arrived and made an appointment to have that fixed. Harold came over and replaced the seal. I paid another $140 or something for that work. When I ran the dishwasher that night, it both leaked AND didn't drain. And the seal fell out of the machine when I opened it. (That continues.) I got fed up and called another organization to fix the problem. After one appointment, the technician from Wooten Appliance (Neal) solved the problem. He opened up the drains underneath the machine and found a pistachio nut blocking the drain area. We are purchasing another spray arm, which appears to be the problem with the leaking because Neal covered the hole in the spray arm, tested the machine, and that fixed the leaking problem. One visit and we were back in business. That's compared to being unable to use my dishwasher for a month and a half with A-Nova. In Spanish, No Va means - it doesn't go. That's why the Chevy Nova never sold well in Spanish-speaking countries. Just saying.... I did call Harold to complain and he apologized. He did refund me the cost of the seal, but not the labor. That was $68. I saw the seal priced at $28 at various sites, so there's that. read more

Very disappointed in A NOVA. They tried to scam me. My fridge stopped working. I agreed to pay the $109 service fee for the diagnosis. Orlando, the technician, tells me that I have a bad defrost timer and defrost thermostat. He called me back the next day with the price of these two parts: defrost timer is around $40 and the defrost thermostat would be around $130. That seemed a bit high to me, so I called Tribels, a local appliance parts supply store that I have used previously. The man was extremely nice. Tribels charges $26 for the defrost timer and $24 for the defrost thermostat. I asked Tribels if we were talking about the same part because I couldn't believe that A NOVA would charge $130 for a $24 part. Tribles said that they see this all the time. Then Tribels told me that repair stores will also tell clients that they need a defrost thermostat when the part is not bad at all. They explained to me how to test whether the thermostat is working properly or not. Sure enough, the thermostat is working fine and did not need to be replaced. I purchased the $26 defrost timer and replaced it myself. In the end, A NOVA would have cost me around $350 - $109 diagnosis fee, $170 in parts (ONE OF WHICH I DID NOT NEED) and labor costs. I could have spent just $25 and fixed my fridge myself. read more

My boyfriend owns several rental properties around the DC metro area and he has always had great service with A-NOVA (I know because I've been on wait-for-the-service-guy duty plenty of times!). The technicians have always arrived within the given time frame, been courteous and swift, and quite knowledgeable about the parts that either his Sub-Zero fridges or Viking cooktops needed. There was one instance when a tech did arrive late... But he apologized profusely and explained that they are currently under-staffed. I give them 5 stars because this is clearly a small business that has been up and running since 1978, and I truly do have a soft spot in my heart for small businesses. I watch Shark Tank religiously and really do believe that it is through the economies of small businesses that bridge the gap between the middle class and the 1%. As such, I encourage my bf to continue to use them, as he owns a small business himself with his rental properties. Anyways, I've never had a problem using these guys. They've always been courteous and pleasant with me - especially Harold. He's been great in terms of customer service and product knowledge. (I've studied Marketing so I pay attention to these things.) Apparently these guys are one of the only factory authorized repair services for Viking appliances in the area, which is great because all my bf installs are Viking stoves. DO NOT use "A Nova Appliance" repair services. Our drier broke due to a power surge, it took them over 6 weeks to order the correct part. The bill was almost $400. While doing repairs that technician broke the glass panel on the drier (the panel was broken from the inside and there has been nobody else who opened up the drier ever). When contacted the company refused to take any responsibility and basically called my husband a liar. Very slow and bad service. read more

My Viking refrigerator was not cooling. I called Viking and they let me know that Anova is an authorized repair company. I was able to scheduled an appointment the same day I called. They diagnosed and repair the unit within the same week! Now, I have a working refrigerator and I'm very pleased. Will definitely use them again. read more

They came out today to look at my glass cooktop. The tech started prying under the glass with a putty knife to see if he could lift it up. I quickly told him to stop and that I didn't want him working on the unit. He clearly didn't know what he was doing as the unit is fastened from the bottom. Also, the service charge is basically me paying for an estimate for a repair which may or may not be the actual problem. I think their process and charges should have been explained to me clearly when I called to schedule the appointment. I feel like I was taken advantage of. Will never call them again. read more

Fast and efficient price was reasonable. "Z" was my repairman. He was able to repair both my washer machine and oven in just over an hour. He had the replacement parts in his truck for both devices. ( I may have been lucky) Z showed me the old parts that he had removed before he installed the new replacement parts. Z was very knowledgeable and provided communication. Called trying to get my relatively new oven and microwave fixed - they both work but have recently begun giving me strange error messages. Person on the phone never even asked me what was wrong with them before taking all my personal information and quoting me a $160+ travel fee and diagnostic fee. I live exactly 1.5 mi away from this business on the exact same street! Why such an extravagant travel fee? Plus not asking what was wrong likely means the repair person would have showed up just to tell me what he needed to fix later, when he could source parts etc. -- i.e a way to automatically get paid for two visits. Giving 2 stars because at least the receptionist told me about the fees before arriving, so I could promptly cancel my appointment. read more
