This place is the definition of a hidden gem. The name A-Hole is absolutely hilarious and perfectly fits the experience. You can order at the trailer counter or on the app, but the pickup is the best part: you get your coffee through an actual hole in a stone concrete wall! Yeah, so this was unexpected but I am really glad I accidentally walked by. I walked by my usual coffee shop and there were at least 25 people in line and they had closed mobile ordering. The concept of this is really interesting, but I think I saw it on TikTok so I kind of knew what to expect. Essentially it's two baristas working in a concrete slab. The culture is really odd and super Austin which I can appreciate because it is no longer in my opinion. I ordered The A hole latte with oat milk and it was decent but nothing spectacular. The barista told me that they ran out of cinnamon, but that is clearly not true by my photo. I was going to try the food, but I decided to skip it as I always judge a coffee shop on their coffee first. The reason for my tire rating is because of the wait time. From start to finish it only took about five minutes, which was incredible despite the fact that there were seven people in line. You can either order from the truck on the inside of the courtyard or order from QR code and get the hole delivery situation. Coffee itself was just alright. Visited on a Sunday morning! There was no line which was nice. I ordered a latte with the Sugar Free Vanilla. Coffee is good, smooth. I loved the hole pickup! It was cute and fun, its creative that they have different hands that hand off the coffee mine was a crab/lobster hand and the person in front of me had their coffee handed off by a fuzzy cat lol. Parking seemed to be a little limited in the front, didn't see additional parking. There's lots of outdoor searing and lots of the tables have umbrellas, it's nice to have the shade. There's also a Pickle ball court here which is cool! There's two other food trucks in the same area one is BBQ and the other is Guac and Go. There's a little free library on the wall. Was about to head out after a weekend in Austin when a video popped up on my feed about a place where you can get your coffee handed to you through a wall! Made the quick 10 minute drive to check it out! I absolutely love the concept and the ease of ordering on your phone! Either walk up to the truck and order or use a QR code onsite to pre-order and then pick it up by grabbing through a hole. That's right a literal hole in a wall! I love this so much! They've only been here a couple weeks now and we've been twice. Once to the truck and once to the hole. Both experiences were great but getting your order through a hole is just super fun. They've got a cute little patio with picnic tables and umbrellas. Open daily at 7 am. The drinks are insane! The food is insane! I LOVE THE PICKLE LEMONADE! Gang, they've got a double espresso with Mexican Coke over ice. Holy octane! Haven't tried it but I just might when I need an extra boost. The macchiato I had was one of the best in my life. Full, rich flavors that feel very European and robust. Perfection. They've got other offerings like teas, sodas, etc. Scones, croissants, variety of pastries that are fresh and delish. Great concept and yes I was here for the hole and the coffee obviously! The awesome part is that the stuff is great and the coffee is so smooth and yummy tasting. So yes buy into the hype. I was only disappointed the online order system was done so I didn't get to ring the bell. Otherwise, fun experience. There is an ordering counter incase you want to bypass the hole. A Hole Coffee is yet another reminder to not fall for social media hype because my friend and I visited and were severely disappointed by their drinks. We waited more than an hour, and we looked at each other completely befuddled by what exactly we were tasting after receiving our drinks. The concept is interesting and cute, but the long wait, hype, and quality/taste of their offerings do not align. The pickle drink is so weird, and it almost made me nauseous. A Hole Coffee is such a fun concept and definitely worth the stop if you're in Austin! I visited the coffee "shop" on a Monday morning and it wasn't busy at all. My fellow guest and I ordered two iced matcha lemonades, a croissant and cinnamon pull apart. The matcha lemonades were so tasty and refreshing! I could tell the "shop" knows how to make matcha correctly! And the pastries hit the spot too! There are two ways to experience A Hole Coffee. Guests can order via a QR code on the concrete wall, paying online and then receive via the hole. This option requires no human conversation. But for those who prefer face-to-face ordering, guests can walk around the wall and order via the coffee food truck. There is plenty of outdoor seating, much in shade, too. There isn't dedicated parking for the "shop. We parked on the street and there was ample available parking on a weekday morning. read more
