    Pork cheek!
    My D.

Obrigada (thank you, feminine)! The owner or manager was very kind and tried to teach us some Portuguese words and customs. We learned their specialties were the braised pork cheek and octopus. They were delicious! He also recommend a wonderful bottle of wine. We also received complimentary bread and cheese! Delicious!

    Beef Cheeks

Food and service was excellent! The owner said that the beef cheeks entree I enjoyed was his grandmother'a re pie. You could definitely taste the lice! Highly recommend!

A great hidden gem! I had the octopus salad and the beef cheeks with red wine sauce. Everything was great including the service!

We arrived exactly as they opened and were greeted with warm smiles in a lovely environment. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. This place is a wonderful find in Lisboa- We will be back!

After seeing the photos and menu my husband and I came here for lunch on our last day in Lisbon. This cute little tapas restaurant was located only 8 minute walk from our hotel. We ordered swordfish ceviche, tuna tartare, cheese board and seared foie gras on a toast. Our server explained the details of each dish that sounded so delicious. And every dish tasted great, especially we didn't expect to have such delicious foie gras in Lisbon. It's one of our favorite dishes but unfortunately we can't get it in California. We started eating swordfish ceviche and tuna tartare before taking photos. They also had Monkey 47 gin which is my husband's favorite gin. My sangria tasted perfect for me. Excellent service. We were glad that we had a chance to dine here before heading home.

The entrance is roped out - when you try to get in, one of the staff members comes out to explain the 'rule'...basically two food items per person is required (requested), so you cannot come here just for beverages. There were lots of yummy tapas dishes described on the blackboard, but I definitely enjoyed my selection - well, thanks to the helpful staff to make my decision. Both seared tuna and boiled shrimp were excellent, and perfect afternoon snack for me!

Food was just right delicious. And the ambience was very local. In addition to us and another couple, there were three ladies that were enjoying their dinners alone, making it feel like a very safe space for neighborhood folks to enjoy a dinner out. Highly recommend for a nice night out.

I didn't realize the Portuguese eat a little bit later at night. It felt like I was in my own private restaurant so that was super funny to think about. Otherwise, though it was such a vibe, it has such a cute interior with paintings on the wall a Christmas tree on the side and a more modern wooden finish. Bathroom is also located on the first floor and it's very clean. Service was fantastic. My waiter, Nabil, was so friendly. He chatted with me and told me a little bit about Portugal. English was not a problem for him and I had no trouble as an English tourist. Service was fast, and he checked in with me every couple minutes. I had gone here as a recommendation from a coworker, and it was fantastic. The duck confit was cooked so tender and served with rice and spinach. The rice tasted cheesy and rich and it was also perfectly balanced with the meal. I highly recommend that as a dish! Otherwise, though, I ordered the green wine and it was pretty good. In Lisbon, I was told to try the green wine because it's from a specific region. It tastes kinda like a Chardonnay.

The place is small, but service moved smoothly. There was a wait-list for people that didn't make a reservation. Here is what we got: 1Lamb with Chestnut 2Beef Shank Sando 3Codfish without Cream 4Squid with Orange 5 Cuttlefish Inked Stew 6Fries, "Francesina Sauce" The presentation on everything was nice. You can notice the attention to detail. The Lamb with Chestnut tasted Braised to the point where the meat was tender & juice. Beef Shank Sando was a hot mess of goodness. The beef was soaked in its own juices making every bite a flavorful bomb Codfish without Cream had a flaky Cod in a nice seasoned sauce. Squid with Orange was a nice surprise. The Squid was perfectly cooked with a smokey taste with a chewy texture. The Orange gave it a citrus taste that just complimented the squid Cuttlefish Inked Stew was decent it just had too many beans in it. Cuttlefish was fresh & tasty The Fries were crispy & yummy Overall, pretty reasonable price for the quality of food

I presume they're both under the same management. I'm reviewing the buffet side. My buffet this night was £7.90--including a decent salad bar, a choice of two soups, and a hot buffet (including a modest carvery). Everything I tried was decent, and much of it was very good. Drinks and desserts are extra, but reasonable. The atmosphere was casual and a bit chaotic, but it was certainly an efficient and inexpensive route for supper. I emerged stuffed to the gills in less than an hour, for a shade over £10 including a pint of beer. The staff were understandably a bit harried, but generally perfectly pleasant. You may have to stand in line for a table, but turnover is reasonably brisk. If you break into groups of two or three, you'll be seated faster. The main rush seems to be 7:30-8:00 pm. The five stars represents decent and plentiful local fare at a great price. I'd be very surprised if there were a better value in the heart of old Lisbon.

We did not have reservations, so seating outside was our only option for immediate seating, especially because it was a little cold out. We had the seafood broiled platter for two.
