The water heater had a leaky valve, so they had to fix that first. Then the first toilet needed new gasket and seal in the tank. Then the 2nd one turned into a major project. It was clogged with calcium that they couldn't fully removed so we decide to go for a new toilet. When they took the old one out the seals in the floor were all rusted out. And the pipe in the floor was a mess so they had to replace that too. And once the toilets were done, they installed bidet attachments for us. They finished up around 2pm. I was so grateful that they were able to get everything done for us in 1 day. Highly recommend!

It's morning, about 6 am and I awake to my wife telling me the heater isn't working. I do what any…read moreself-reliant male would do and go check the thermostat. It's digital and it's black. Nothing on the screen. Dead in the water. I hear what sounds like a pump running in the cellar so I throw some clothes on and investigate. Turns out it IS a pump running! I'm not an expert when it comes to HVAC, so I text a buddy of mine who is and he walked me through some basic troubleshooting. We checked and reset breakers, but nothing seemed to work. He told me the next step was to crack the outside panel on the air exchanger and encouraged me to call a professional. Being somewhat new to the Spokane area, I had not the slightest clue who to call and I certainly wanted to get the right people out the first time. I googled "Spokane Wa HVAC" and while I received many pages of results, one thing was missing, reviews and testimonies. Enter Yelp. I quickly read through a few reviews on yelp and when I came to Spokane Comfort Systems, I knew that I had found the right company. A quick call into the office and I had an appointment set between 12 and 2 pm. Jason, the technician assigned to our case called me about twenty minutes to 12 saying he was on his way. He showed up on time, tools in hand, and ready to work. After doing some initial troubleshooting, he thought he had located the problem, but said he wasn't 100% sure as our unit had no markings on the panel or schematics. He ran downtown and back on parts run all in no time at all. Unfortunately, the new parts were not the issue. Back to troubleshooting. He ended up pulling most of the guts out of the unit and found the issue! He had the parts in his van and had everything back together and working very quickly. Through all of this, Jason was not only professional but courteous and helped put my mind at ease regarding the cost of the repair. I couldn't be happier with Spokane Comfort Systems and the level of work they put out. Thanks for everything!

Where to start with these guys... first off, this review is for the Colville store, but there is no…read morespecific entry in Yelp for that store. My relationship with Northstar started when they installed the heat pump in our new construction home. The heating system was wired incorrectly, and had to be fixed by them. They left several ducts not connected to vents. This was found by me going into the crawl space, and seeing no ducts connected to several vents... A leak in the system developed, but no leak could initially be found. I was told by Norstar that the loss of 8 lbs of refrigerant was the probable result of a theft of the fluid...several hundred dollars later, the unit was working , but with very high energy bills. Norstar came back out, and again found the unit was short on refrigerant. After $400 more dollars in testing, several leaks were found. They seem to have a hard time with the long term fix of a system, and our more concerned with short term solutions (that then need more fixes in the future). They have always been friendly with me, but my wife has had mixed results with Norstar on the phone. In one example the service manager basically said my wife was lying on a scheduled appointment. It was a miscommunication in which the service manager told my wife that he remembered the conversation between my wife and I better than we did...not a great example of customer service... We do love the Lopi wood stove we purchased from them, and they did a good job installing it....but for technical repairs/assessments, I cannot recommend them. We went with another company for the repair of our system. It should be noted that there were several other negative issues we had with Norstar that were not mentioned in this review.
