All I can do is relate what happened to me at A1 storage on Spring street. I had multiple items stolen on multiple breeches of the security lock which management provided me. I do not know how the lock was breeched or when, but I do have pictures of the items stolen. I filed two police reports with the LaMesa PD and was later called by the SD PD in South Bay to verify some of my stuff which they recovered. I verified the stuff they recovered was mine. New update: I recently received a call from an investigator at the San Diego PD is South Bay. According to him they had recovered the mate to the suitcase pictured above which was stolen from my A1 Storage unit on Spring St. He was able to contact me as the owner of the suitcase because I had placed my business card in each of the luggage pieces stolen from my A1 Storage unit on Spring street in La Mesa. I was able to verify that the contents of the luggage were items I had stored at A1 Storage on Spring Street. I have provided the police with an accurate inventory of the items stolen and the total dollar value is over $10,000 dollars. I sent a certified letter to Dave Ratliff at A1 who is the Operations Manager, requesting that I be reimbursed $10,000 for the theft of my personal belongings stored at A1 Storage on Spring Street. His staff has a Master Key to the locks they provide to renters and are able to breech any storage space at will. They went into my storage locker at least five times. I highly recommend to stay away from this business lest you become a victim as I have. read more

If you need a storage Unit, this is the place to go!! Honestly, I had the best experience and Rachel and Ariana at the front desk were so kind and helpful when checking in! They were awesome and exuded positive energy especially during stressful times of moving things back and forth! The gentlemen over the phone was also a big help and kind enough to answer any and all questions. Ariana helped us upgrade our unit from a 5x5 to a 10x10. She helped us decide on a closer unit since we had one in the basement level already and it'll help relieve some of the headaches from moving out of the previous unit. Would recommend coming here when she's working. read more
