Updated: I have noticed staff is more kind and understanding than in the past. I have even been reminded if I forgot to pay due to personal crisis. For example for April 2026 I was in an auto accident and forgot all about the storage unit. I had just been trying to deal with the injuries and the aftermath of the accident along with multiple other legal issues, which the auto accident created a chain of events that caused my legal issues to be put on hold because of the exhaustion of my injuries and dealing with the headaches of the auto accident. I mean it in the literal and figurative sense. I had been experiencing headaches since the auto accident and it has been impacting my life. I had my unit for 14 months and the on-site maintenance man that lives on the property must've seen I didn't have renters insurance and broke into my unit and took all my stuff. Every time I have been here to open my storage it is always some BS reason why I can not access my storage unit. None of the reasons is because of payment. This place is u reliable to say the least. I have been waiting for someone e to answer the phone or open the office during work hours but no one is here. They were supposed to come back from lunch an hour ago but still no answer. read more

I have a small business and am currently renting three large units from Ace Storage/Tammy. I did a lot of research before I signed a contract over four years ago. The staff is so friendly and helpful - the best customer service; the Nordstrom of storage facilities. My door broke one day, and Tammy came down immediately and fixed it so it was like new. Ace El Cajon happened to be the first one and we are sure glad it was. We got a great deal on our locker, which met all of our size and loading requirements. They are very inexpensive especially the first month, they are fairly close to the trolley station, they have the cleanest bathrooms ever, and I had a very pleasant experience signing up.
