Avoid ATSI as long as they are associated with Dream Nissan. When I made the appt with ATSI I…read moresuspected that the problem I was having may have been the result of work previously done by Dream Nissan which took me 3 visits to resolve and then when I arrive for my scheduled appt with ATSI (now Nightmare Nissan) they do not show that I have a scheduled appt. So I have now driven over 5 miles each way (total 10 + miles) only to have a guy call me to say "oops, our fault, you did have an appointment)". Really unimpressed and will never patronize again and will urge others to look elsewhere when needing service for their vehicles.

Ended up being told my passanger rear brake caliper rotor needed replaced. I had a throw out bearing going out in my clutch and my cv joints needed replaced. After the repairs I had a brake still sticking. I took my car in 5 times and each time was told they couldnt find anything. They couldnt get the brake to stick. Fast forward a couple of weeks after the last time i sent it i was heading to work and my whole brake system locked up. Drove it to the nearest mechanic and they said my whole driver rear caliper brake rotor had seized up. Anothe 750 dollar repair... brakes are still sticking. Finally found a real honest compatrnt mechanic who looked over all the work and discovered my brake pad had been out on incorrectly. Causing all the repairs to the brake rotor and caplier to be not fixed and ruined yet again. The new mechanic told me due to my car being a manual a transmission flush was not something i could have done for my car... the amount of time they charged was incorrect and on too of all that when he went to check on the work done my transmission fluid level was low. He said when you replace xv joints sometimes the transmission fluid will leak out. Literally everything this mechanic at ATSI touched was performed wrong, mis diagnosed and clearly not looked at properly because all issues could have been fixed if they were just looked at in the first place. So i desputed the bill and wong the dispute. The manager Gabbie was not happy about that and reached out saying she would be fighting it and all forms of communication would need to be done thru the company from here on out. Yet she reached out to a mutual family member to bash the fact i disputed the shotty work (at best) and involved outside people in our business transaction. Bottom line this company was incompetant to do the job, cost me 6 weeks of being out of work due to their failure to diagnose, fix properly the things needed on the car, and then when telling them something isnt right FIVE MORE TIMES still failed to do their job. It was a nightmare that took 6 months to be resolved and it also cost me a new transmission that i have not yet decided to sue for compensation. And the level of professionalism was at an all time low. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR EVEN AN OIL CHANGE seeing as a simple brake job they couldnt even out the brake pad on properly. If you do use them oay with credit so you can dispute the crappy service you receive. Save yourself the trouble though and go somewhere that knows how to properly diagnose and fix the correct problems the first or even SECOND time. 5 times and 2 mechanics and 6 months after the initial visit i finally got my car fixed and fixed correctly.

Not only is the staff polite and accommodating, but the service is second to none, efficient, and professional. Jimmy (may be the owner- he's always the guy I interact with) is always kind, knowledgeable, and patient when it comes to questions and needing something explained. Anytime friends ask for shop recommendations, I always refer them to K's! Also, it is probably important to mention that they gave me the lowest quote for new tires out of any of the shops in lawrence. Great dudes. Great service. Great shop. Go to K's!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! The only thing that they have…read moreever done right, was tires and brakes. And let me just say what I'm bout to tell you I sound like an idiot for keep taking my cars there, but I have learned my lesson after having to take them to court. Yesterday I found out that an alternator that I had put in my daughter's car twice by them. Actually failed again last week because when they so-called fixed it, they broke the prongs that plug the alternator in and instead of replacing the plug-in part and doing it correctly, they filled it with silicone to hold it in place. So of course after a while it twice and I never would've known this if I hadn't taken it to a reputable shop who told me and showed me what was going on. luckily advanced auto parts where I ended up buying the alternator refunded me, but they also tested and showed where they peeled out a bunch of silicone off of the alternator. When they found out what shop it was, they decided to go ahead and take care of it because they are customers of theirs I guess but I would've been $465 for replacing it again have they not been wonderful people and done that for me. But let me go on. They have messed up several instances before now, and I always gave them a chance because they usually made things right regardless of when they effed up or not. A year ago or so my daughter's Sideview mirror got broke off. I took it over there. They charged me $400 even though I had bought the replacement from eBay whoever fixed it broke the plastic peaks that held the mirror on because it's a German car so it's hard to take off if you don't know what you're doing. Instead of calling me and say hey we broke the part. We're gonna get this part these buffoons put a bolt through the frame of my car to hold the cracked piece that they broke onto the car and hold the mirror. When I went to pick it up, he me out there to look at it like oh was gonna be OK with that ummmm no. I ordered the piece and they put it on there and gave me my money back for the piece but before they did that, they tried to say it was broken when the car got there and I had photos to prove that it wasn't, which was the only they couldn't get over on me. Back in November, I took her car back again for them to fix the heat. He charged me $700 when I went to pick it up the heat still wasn't fixed and he said oh it's gonna be $1400 for a heater core what the fuck did I spend $700 for I don't even know I didn't even question it and I don't know why I was tripping obviously. on top of all that, I've been in a nightmare because my was diagnosed to need a fuel pump. K-Tire replaced a fuel pump module on my car gave it back to me and it failed on the freaking highway going 70 miles an hour. They ended up sending my over to Don's Auto which is also a terrible shop. Don't take your car there either and that has been a whole nightmare and I have to take them to court now. I thought the people here were good people, but I guess people are only good until they're not because he also got up in court lying with his big head. Long story short that's two shops in Lawrence Kansas you should never take your vehicle. They also butchered the wires under my car without telling me. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE DON'T DO IT.

Ive heard great things about Slimmers but all I can say is that I left incredibly disappointed…read more I brought my car in to see about getting the AC fixed, they told me I needed a new radiator and AC unit so I listened and paid 2k to fix it. When I got it back I was super happy because it took about 3 weeks and I needed it back. But immediately after I noticed a lot of HUGE issues, car wouldn't accelerate, wouldn't turn off, wouldn't lock or go into park. I had to get it towed in, and they said they'd take a look at it. The receptionist woman was very unfriendly on the phone and in person, which was shocking because most of their other staff seem very polite. When they had it they said they'd fix it in the next week and it took them about 3 more weeks to get it back to me. Then finally I get it back for the second time, and my door dont open from the outside. I emailed them and told them about this issue and I was not rude or anything but I felt like the email I received back was very unfriendly. When I told them about this they told me not to take it to them if I cant trust them with my vehicle, which seems redundant since they are the reason I dont trust them, when I obviously trusted them enough to bring it there and to give them the opportunity to fix whatever mistake was made. I am a young woman and honestly felt a little taken advantage of and or not taken seriously whatsoever. I also received a couple voicemails saying essentially they didn't know what they were doing and they'd never worked on this type of car before (Hyundai Sonata), so Im not sure what "trust" they expect when they treat their costumers like this. They seem to lack a lot of basic costumer service skills and knowledge. They deal with a huge part of peoples lives (their vehicle) and people are bound to be frustrated when stuff is wrong with their car, so if they dont know how to deal with that they just shouldn't.
