Jimmy (may be the owner- he's always the guy I interact with) is always kind, knowledgeable, and patient when it comes to questions and needing something explained. Anytime friends ask for shop recommendations, I always refer them to K's! Also, it is probably important to mention that they gave me the lowest quote for new tires out of any of the shops in lawrence. Great dudes. Great service. Great shop. Go to K's!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE: The only thing this shop ever did right possibly was tires and brakes. I was a fool for continuing to take my vehicles there after several mishaps. When people show you who they are believe them the first time. I took my daughter's VW convertible there to get an alternator change. They CHANGED IT TWICE. Last week, the alternator gave out again within the time span that it was under warranty with the parts place advance auto. I no longer deal with K-Tire because of their incompetence so I took it somewhere else that shop found out that they use silicone and glue the connector into the alternator which is why it ultimately kept failing. GLUE AND SILICONE. Advance auto we're kind enough to reimburse me the labor and cost at the new shop $460 so that I wouldn't have to deal with K-Tire again. So we're very clear. This is not the first time that they have proved their work shotty and subpar. As you can see photos that I have attached here I paid $688 to have my daughter's heat fixed just to be told when I went to pick it up that the heat wasn't fixed and it needed a heater core, which was going to be another $1400. I'm not sure what I paid $688 for and I didn't even question it at the time. I think I was just concerned with the fact that it was gonna cost me another $1400 for her to have heat. I think you're able to test the heater core with the temperature gauge before you charge someone $688 to give them the same vehicle back that they brought in that didn't have heat. I PICKED UP THE SAME VEHICLE WITH NO HEAT THAT I TOOK THEM THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS I GAVE THEM $688 DOLLARS. Before that incident I brought the same car in to get her side view mirror assembly replaced. They broke the plastic part on assembly that held it on the vehicle. I went to pick it up, they had put a bolt through the broken plastic piece and the frame of my daughter's car. Not only did it look ridiculous. WHO GAVE THEM THE PERMISSION TO DRILL THROUGH THE FRAME OF MY VEHICLE? NO ONE!!!!!!!!!And if that wasn't enough when I went to drive off and I was trying to adjust the mirror it wouldn't work because they weren't even smart enough to plug it in when they put it on. They had to take it apart again just to plug it up. They then tried to say it was broken when I brought it in and I had taken pictures so it clearly showed that it wasn't and I ended up ordering the piece and they did put it on and reimburse me, but if I hadn't had proof, they have blamed me. Fast forward I've been in a nightmare with my car since January between this shop and the shop they took it to who was just as horrible Don's Auto Center don't take your car there either. I had a fuel pump issue with my vehicle. They put on a fuel pump module didn't work. Car ended up failing while I was on the highway going 70+mph on highway 59. It Failed than 30 minutes of me, picking it up from their shop. It actually failed more than once. They ended up reimbursing me for that failure of a repair. I took them to court. I couldn't believe how he sat in court and lied. One thing about me I keep immaculate notes and I keep a receipt everything I say I can prove. I won judgment against them. Save yourself the headache. The Lawrence store seems to take it to a different level. They are fair, keep you informed of progress and as we say in the service industry, under promise and over deliver. Now, a new service... they will also perform a 4-wheel alignment at a very reasonable price. Always in your best interest to get an alignment with new tires, to help protect your investment. I worked in the automotive industry as a service manager for many years, and can say without a doubt, their prices and service equal or exceed their competition. I have traded with Discount Tire professionally, as an auto shop manager, and as a client. In both cases, they get the job done, and go the extra mile for their patrons. I had a blowout last night, heading home to Olathe. Today, when I came back to Lawrence for work, I was told the tires I preferred, would not be available until the following day. Zack got with their supplier, got them ordered, and delivered, same day. Much to my surprise, they got me worked in, replaced my aging TPMS sensors, replace the tires, and performed an alignment. All in less than one hour! Lawrence has several options for tire service, and many good options at that. But consistency with each visit, and knowledge and empathy from the front staff can make all the difference when making a decision. I actually looked at him like he was crazy because it was a Sunday afternoon. He assured me they were still open. I have to confess that I did not entirely believe him. LOL. He said, "They can fix it in 10 minutes and it will cost you about $16." Yeah, right. So I headed Westside 66 and kept my fingers crossed. The cashier told me to pull around back and they would look at the tire. Honestly, within ten minutes... the tire was fixed and it cost $16. I could not believe my good luck on finding this place. The mechanic who worked on my tire was nice, professional and he knew exactly what to do to get me fixed. He did not waste time with small talk and he got me right on my way. The cashier was very nice and courteous. She, too, was professional and very helpful. I appreciate her guidance. I asked her if they had been busy and she said it was a slow day for them. When I got it back I was super happy because it took about 3 weeks and I needed it back. But immediately after I noticed a lot of HUGE issues, car wouldn't accelerate, wouldn't turn off, wouldn't lock or go into park. I had to get it towed in, and they said they'd take a look at it. The receptionist woman was very unfriendly on the phone and in person, which was shocking because most of their other staff seem very polite. When they had it they said they'd fix it in the next week and it took them about 3 more weeks to get it back to me. Then finally I get it back for the second time, and my door dont open from the outside. I emailed them and told them about this issue and I was not rude or anything but I felt like the email I received back was very unfriendly. When I told them about this they told me not to take it to them if I cant trust them with my vehicle, which seems redundant since they are the reason I dont trust them, when I obviously trusted them enough to bring it there and to give them the opportunity to fix whatever mistake was made. I am a young woman and honestly felt a little taken advantage of and or not taken seriously whatsoever. I also received a couple voicemails saying essentially they didn't know what they were doing and they'd never worked on this type of car before (Hyundai Sonata), so Im not sure what "trust" they expect when they treat their costumers like this. They seem to lack a lot of basic costumer service skills and knowledge. They deal with a huge part of peoples lives (their vehicle) and people are bound to be frustrated when stuff is wrong with their car, so if they dont know how to deal with that they just shouldn't.
