We first called other locksmith for prices for replacing a key for a BMW 328i and ever one was giving us a high number. The prices were like taking it to a dealer ship.My husband called A-1 Affordable Locksmith and he told us less than half of what other places were charging. David was the guy that helped us out . He was friendly and he knew what he was doing and was done fast. We will be calling him again with any key or lock problems that we have. Thank You David read more

Totally recommend! I had to program my keyfob for our CR-V. Pulled up to David's place, he was right there waiting. Done in about five minutes. Paid through Zelle. Super easy! Would go here again. read more

A-1 Locksmith were the most affordable option I got when I had my car keys stolen and no spare key to get into my Toyota Prius. They had replica remote keys on hand and were able to reprogram the key to the car in under 20mins! The service was also stellar. Super friendly, professional, and quick to respond. When the dealer is asking for $600+ to reprogram your remote key DO NOT fall for their bullshit stories about how they have to "reprogram the entire cpu and it can take up to 3hrs of labor blah blah blah" stfu. A-1 Affordable Locksmith got it done for 1/3 of the price and came to me in under 15mins. Didn't have to tow my car anywhere and had a perfect replica remote key made in under 20mins AND they even cut the physical door key on the spot. Couldn't be happier with the experience. 11/10. HIGHLY Recommend this service. read more

I needed a copy made of my Jeep key. It's a laser cut key so the first 5 locksmiths I called either didn't have the right machine or didn't have the right blanks. David was able to help right away. Literally took 3 minutes. Fast and friendly service, highly recommend! read more

David worked tirelessly to try and find a solution to my need for a duplicate key. Turns out Saturns (or at least my '08 Astra needed a key (fob) from the manufacturer. I saved money by purchasing that on EBay (per David's recommendation). I needed my key programmed so David took care of it in minutes. Thanks David! read more

A-1 Affordable Locksmith - Had to purchase OEM key from eBay but David was the man when it came to programming it! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I must say I was overwhelmed at the type of service A-1 locksmith provided. He was very reasonably price and had such a pleasant personality(also very knowledgeable). No switching up in prices like several places I called!! if you're ever in need of an extra key or new key, I highly recommend A-1 Affordable Locksmith. Wendy Dickerson read more

I needed to change the front door lock and decided to call a locksmith to get the job done. I saw the positive reviews for this service and made an appointment with David. David showed up 15 minutes earlier than the actual appointment time. How great is that?! He changed my lock in a jiffy and I thought that was it. But no, he asked me if I needed keys made after he installed the locks. I was shocked because I was going to get some extra keys made after he leaves, but he saved me a trip and didn't charge me extra for making additional keys. Then, he tested the locks and noticed that the door was a little difficult to close. It's been that way ever since I've lived there so I didn't think it was a big deal. David looked at the door closely and pointed out why it had been that way. He proceeded to adding an extra plate on the door frame to ensure that the lock is secure in the hole on the door frame and taught me how to close the door so it would close smoothly. He refined and refined the hole in the door frame to his satisfactory. All these for the same fee he quoted me over the phone without any extra charges. Great service, punctual, professional, courteous, going the extra mile...I highly recommend David the locksmith! read more

Awesome locksmith Fast does great job very fair pricing‼plus nice guy !! I would recommend Z to everyone. read more

After calling a few locksmiths who said they could not program my smart remote and a few who would have charged close to what the dealership would charge, David said that it would not be a problem. He said it would take about 20 minutes. The Acura dealership would have charged double what he charged and said it would take an hour. David delivered on everything at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend him. read more

Asking for way too much. They said $65 or more over the phone. I could feel them taking advantage of the situation... I know it's a business, but to take advantage over someone in need --smh --btw they sounded pretty sketchy over the phone too, -use your imagination-- seriously read more

They gave themselves a very appropriate name- The service WAS A1 and affordable. I called around but got the most affordable quote from them and they were able to arrive within minutes (under 15 mins)! The service itself was very quick, seamless, and under 5 mins. They made a really unfortunate circumstance slightly more tolerable.. read more

After being quoted several times a minimum charge of $185 to cut a key from other locksmiths, ($250 range from dealership) A-I agreed to meet me immediately, cut my key for a negligible charge, and produced a fresh key onsite within 2 minutes. When I realized I didn't bring enough cash, he told me that was fine. On closer examination of my existing key, the gentleman from A-1 realized it may need a replacement, and offered an extremely low price. While I didn't have the time to do it, he just gave me his card. No pressure. I was really lucky to stumble upon him on Yelp. (He even patiently helped me with directions to meet him when my GPS lost it sense of direction!) Very highly recommended! read more

Dave was able to come on incredibly short notice. My wife and I had a flight today so it was imperative that it was done quickly. He was very communicative and the price was well within reason. Highly recommend. read more

This place is awesome!! Someone stole my keys at the gym and then the gym gave me a hard time about locating the culprit. I priced a few locksmiths in the area and they had the most affordable rate! Within 30 minutes they arrived and started to program me a new key and I was back on the road within the hour. If your locked out or can't find your keys this this place will save the day. They were here in 15 minutes and opened the lock in under two minutes and were on their way. Awesome service. This was after hours at the start of the weekend. I called, they answered, and delivered. Five stars all the way, make this service your go to! read more

I had an emergency this morning... the main entrance to our 14 unit condo building had been vandalized and the knob/lock set had been badly damaged. No one could get into the building. I didn't know how to get someone on such short notice. I searched "Locksmith Marina del Rey" and found A-1 with 5 stars on Yelp. I had to go to work, and was on a very short time line. When I called them up they said they could get to me in 15 - 20 min. Well... they did, and they changed out the lock set with an identical lock set that they had on their truck, and used the tumbler from the old lock set so I wouldn't have to have a new one made. There price was very reasonable, and they did it really fast so I could get to work on time. Thank you A1 !!! read more

A lifesaver! Due to how close in proximity I was to them, someone came in 8 min and was able to unlock my front door in less than 5 min. If I ever get locked out again (but hopefully that doesn't happen), I would definitely call them back. read more

The Best!! I'm a very forgetful person seriously....I either loose keys or lock them in my house. They have rescued me twice already. Once at work when I lost the key to the electrical room and once at my house when I locked my keys in the house. They are super fast too. They showed up in less than 10 minutes! YAY read more

I'm so lucky I found David! I lost my one and only smart key for my 2013 Toyota Camry. I was totally locked out. When I called the dealer I bought the car from, they told me I would have to drive over to the dealer and buy the spare key ($364 each) which they would order and would be delivered in 1-2 days and then have to have the car towed to the dealership to have it reprogrammed from scratch for new keys (an additional $400). This whole process would take a lot of time and driving back and forth to the dealer. When I called David I didn't realize he was a completely mobile service. He came and picked up the deposit and ordered the smart keys to be delivered next day. The following morning he called as soon as the keys were delivered to him and drove right over to program them. This process took him 30 minutes in total!! Because his price was so much cheaper I ordered two smart keys and still payed significantly less than the dealer quote!! He even told me about ordering refurbished keys to save me more money that had the same warranty and completely new housing which made them look like new! He was very transparent about the process which I really liked!! He had me back in my car with two smart keys in less than 24 hours!!!! With mobile service! This is a true 5 star rating. Never did David ask about yelp or offer a discount for leaving a review (unlike my last movers review) In fact yelp never came up. We should have a secret code for when businesses asks for a yelp review(bafayr) lol. This whole thing was a learning experience, don't loose your smart keys folks and if you do, call David!! read more

I had such a wonderful and professional smoothe experience. My daughter's purse was stolen, and I called A-1 Affordable Locksmith @ 430am, David answered, he offered a great rate for car key replacement and service call. Afterwards, I realized I also needed house keys too. He was a lifesaver. David went beyond the call of duty, its was a VW jetta, with a after market radio. I had no idea that we needed the stock radio to program the key. David, came back 2x with more advanced equipment and another time after to disconnect the radio to resolve the problem. Not only did he complete a well done job, he went beyond the extra mile of his duty to deliver excellent customer service which I valued the most! read more

extremely satisfied we chose A-1 Affordable locksmith to re-key all locks in our house. David showed up earlier than scheduled on the same day I called him. He was professional and clean. Great service! I didn't ask the name of this guy but he is great. I was going to spend a couple hundred to order a New keyless remote for my Nissan Altima ( silly girl ) and he explained to me all I need just to order it on EBay and to program it by myself. Even Nissan customer care was not able to give me an advice and just send me to a dealer. Done! Paid $6.15 :) Thank you! read more

I needed to have some locks rekeyed. They gave me window, which was maybe an hour later, came and did the job and provided me with the keys needed. Points for pleasantness. Bonus points for this: a week (give or take) later I go to their physical location-which is a little outpost/stand across the street from The Grove because I realize that I need more keys. Different fellow than the one in the van, but also pleasant enough. He tells me my total, $21 and I hand him my credit card. I had paid in the first place by credit card, but, he says, they do not take credit cards at the shop. (Okay, I'll admit, a little suspect.) I have no cash. He says "That's okay. You'll bring it next time." That is not something that happens very often in this day and age, and it's worth celebrating. I did bring him cash later. read more

David was awesome!!! We had a bathroom door locked in our condo, and we tried everything we could to "pick" the lock, but were unsuccessful. Many other locksmiths in the area weren't even open on a Saturday, let alone, being very helpful. It was frustrating. But, David, he was kind, helpful, professional and prompt. He gave a reasonable quote, arrived within 20 min, and within seconds had the door unlocked. In addition he offered to make our home key fit with the bathroom lock, so we didn't have this happen again. That's good service. Would use him again, although hope we won't have to. read more
