Most people aren't happy to call a locksmith. My past experiences with other "emergency locksmiths" have always left me feeling taken advantage of... I'm grateful to say that tonight was not the case. I took my dog for a quick walk before bed (12am) and was horrified when I realized I locked myself out. I tried everything I could to get back inside because I the last thing I wanted was to wait hours for a locksmith and overpay due to my emergency. After 30 minutes of struggling to get in and almost breaking my own window I did a quick yelp search and gave these guys a call. John answered immediately and told me he could get to me in 20 minutes. I was sure that was going to be more like an hour or two due to my past experiences with other locksmiths. I was shocked to see John arrive literally 15 minutes after we got off the phone! On top of that he was kind, quick ,courteous and above all the PRICE WAS FAIR (half of what a different rude locksmith charged me in a similar situation). I got home after a long day, put my keys in the door eager to eat something and go to bed, and my locke didn't work. The keys would go in but wouldn't turn. I tried with my spare keys and the same issue happen. I had no chance but to call a locksmith. Per a friend's referral I came across Sure Lock Homes. I called them, explained the situation and 15 minutes later Jonathan showed up. He was very nice and knowledgeable. There was a problem with the latch so he had to take out the old lock and replace the new one. The whole process took less than 40 minutes. Being locked out is never a pleasant situation and you always want to avoid having to call someone, but if that happens I'd recommend this service without a doubt. A HUGE RIPOFF! A SCAM!! I called Sure Lock Homes last night when I got locked out of my apartment around 11pm. The person who picked up the phone was not the person who showed up. The man who showed up at my door, Ben, was driving a regular car, and was not wearing a uniform. For opening my door, not even rekeying, he charged me $307!! I got suspicious, but I was too scared to confront him all by myself late at night when I was freezing with not a phone on me. I asked for a business card and company's name, but he did't have the former, and could barely understand what I was saying. The name of the company on the receipt I asked him for doesn't say "Sure Lock Homes" and the number on the receipt also doesn't match. I am going to call the BBB. I called Sure Lock Homes to open our apartment door when we were locked out. The tech, Mazi, said he would be to us in 20 minutes. He lied. It took him almost 2 hours. Then he gave us a price of $150 but he couldn't open the door so he said he had to drill the lock. Then after he drilled the lock, he told us we needed to buy a specific lock from him that would only fit in that door. We had no choice because we couldn't leave the door unlocked without a lock. He charged us $700!! I did my research and found that we got ripped off. I wouldn't trust them. read more
