I found The Affordable & Licensed Handyman through Yelp because they had great reviews so I was interested to see how much their service fee would be for a simple job when I was looking for a plumber. I needed a license plumber due to home insurance requirement to do this installation or I would've done it myself. They were responsive when I talked to them through Yelp projects. I was shocked with how much I was quoted because it was almost double the price of the automatic shut off valve device I paid for. So I had to confirm that the price that was given to me was just to switch out the bad unit with the new one. They didn't have to do anything else like run new pipes or replace anything else. When I communicated to them that the quote was high, they asked how much did i wanted to pay. I thought they would try to be more reasonable since the name is The Affordable. I give them a range based on the prices from other plumbing company that I reached out to and they couldn't do it which I understand they can set their own prices. Maybe for big projects, they'll give more of a reasonable price which is why they have great reviews on Yelp but just to replace a bad automatic shut off valve with a brand new one, I think it was overprice so I used another plumbing company where they were very reasonable on the price.

It actually cost notably less than my original set up, which was done 6 years ago and had less features and most of all turned out crappy. David gave me an estimate for parts delivery, which turned out to be exact, and we made the install appointment for the day after. He came in and was very polite, careful and steadfast. We were told that this would cover gas expenses - why take a job that is out of your network? They knew our address well before coming out. Also, some of our intake conversations were over text, so I wish we discussed the job over photos so they knew what we wanted to do in terms of the job and give us a proper quote. Just felt very scammy and weird after them asking for money without starting the job.

Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

I requested a quote on yelp as soon as I got locked out of my apartment. I got a response within 5 minutes thag included a cell phone number, I also had responses from many other locksmiths, this was the cheapest quote as well. I immediately texted him and he said he would be here in 25 min, it took 15min. I was worried about drilling noise if it couldn't be picked but this guy picked my lock in less than 2 minutes!! While we were at it, I requested a quote for matching the 2 locks as this is the second time in 2 years this has happened, and I replaced the bottom door knob/lock and it no longer matched the key provided by my landlord. He said he could match it for an additional $10!!! TLDR: Lock wizard, professional, fast response time, fast travel time, insanely fast lock picking time, and top it off with matching my 2 front door locks to the original provided by my landlord for only $10 more!! I immediately said $h!t when I shut my door and knew I was locked out... Dreading paying over 100 dollars for a quick drill or pick, but now with the lowest quote offered out of 8 diff services on yelp, for only $10 more my locks are matched. Title: Fast, Reliable, and Expert Locksmith Service Review: I recently had the pleasure of using Mr Ben's Excellent Locksmith Service for 7 electronic locks, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. Mr Ben was punctual, professional, and highly skilled in handling my lock issue. His vast knowledge and experience were evident as he quickly assessed the situation, explained my options, and efficiently resolved the problem. He was also very courteous and friendly throughout the entire process, making me feel at ease during a stressful situation. However, I was disappointed to learn that Yelp is charging Mr Ben an exorbitant fee of $50 per customer interaction.
