I had an old basketball backboard and hoop installed on my garage and it fell down during the heavy rain/wind. It was hanging down. He took it down and removed all of the items. He then professionally installed a tarp on the roof where some of the screw holds for the backboard were installed. Dan is such a nice, god-fearing man, I've been hesitant to write about the work he did in my home. However today, the 2nd thing (out of 2 tasks) fell apart. He was hired to attach 2 shelves to the wall in my work studio and install a ceiling light in the office. After taking to him the back work studio, I returned to the house and discovered he'd left the front door wide open. I have a dog and cat, he was aware of the dog who followed us into the studio. I asked him to be sure the door shut, his response was, "I left the door open?" Nothing else. To install the ceiling fixture, he had to break away some of the existing plaster. This was done without any protection for the items below. My desk, Turkish rug and chair were covered in dust and plaster. The brass fixture is also now dented. Today, a studio shelf, 9"x 9" which displays a lightweight cardboard sign, came crashing down. Screws came out of the drywall which is torn and shredded. The wall will have to be patched, painted (again after his installation marked up the wall also) and I will have to find someone to do all this work over. I gave Dan 2 stars because his heart is in the right place. However I would not recommend his work. read more

So I clicked the "request a quote" button on my Yelp app and filled in what I was looking for. I need my kitchen sink replaced, not sure if this is handyman territory or is more plumber themed work.
