I ordered a burger with extra raw onions and fries to go. Should be an easy thing for them to provide, right? I drive straight home, just a couple minutes away and, when I open up my order, I get no onions whatsoever, when I ordered extra onions. The French fries weren't a little cold, they were overwhelmingly cold, making me think they didn't even cook them for my order. I'm sick of this bad service! I came to the 99 in danvers with my friend and I got the balsamic chicken and she got the smothered streak. She said that her food was good but my chicken was very fatty and chewy but the flavor was good. The fries were hot and the mashed potatoes were great. They were very understaffed so I didnt bother to let them know and overwhelm them. I do recommend that people should still come here but just be weary due to the fatty chicken. read more

I knew there were a lot of bad reviews about this chain but I saw the parking lot was full so I decided to give it a try. Wait was about 15mins. They have me free popcorn which was just okay. I ordered country fried chicken which comes with mashed potatoes, fries, biscuit and cranberry sauce. The mashed potato was inedible, it tasted bad. The biscuit was good though, I like that it's not too dry and they put glaze on top which makes it a bit sweet. I will not recommend this place! read more

I'm not a big person to send In reviews but I thought my experience here was worthwhile enough to make a yelp account. I went to the 99 in Danvers and sat at the bar. I was greeted by a young women named Olive who is the reason behind this review. Olive was extremely kind, upbeat, and skilled. She kept a constant smile on her face despite being busy. She gave me amazing drink recommendations, asked me about my day, and chatted nicely not just to me but anyone else who sat down. I got the chicken Caesar salad and it was great. We went to the Danvers 99 and had an incredible service experience. Our in laws are getting up in age and one is hard of hearing but our server, Kyle, was both attentive and patient. Early on, someone spilled a drink. When I went to the bar for napkins, the bartender (Steve) exceeded all my expectations. Instead of simply giving me napkins, he came around the bar, cleared the table, and wiped it down. The drink was also replaced at no additional charge. After the spill was cleared, our nachos were served. We asked for extra Queso but something got lost in translation and we didn't get any. Kyle immediately went into problem solving mode. 1st buy bringing a side of Queso and 2nd by letting the manager know. While we didn't ask for the an adjustment on the bill, Amanda (the manager) approached the table, apologized for the mishap, and adjusted the tab. Every single touchpoint was perfect. Waitress said that she would find out and let us know. 30 minutes later, we had to hail her to find out, she forgot to ask. she came back with the answer. had we known 40 minutes prior, my daughter would have changed her order. our meal came out a few minutes later. we ordered a dessert. She brought the bill before the dessert. I had my credit card in the folder and at the table edge for her when she brought the dessert. She did not take the card. another 20 minutes go by and we don't see her. I had to bring the bill up front and tell them that we had to go. Terrible service and the Seafood Trio wasn't that good. I am not a big 99 eater, as I feel there are many other options for me and my autistic son who has trouble going out. However, last week I took him to the 99 and the experience was completely changed thanks to our waitress, Paige. She made my son feel like a friend and never wiped off her contagious smile. It's hard to find waiters/waitresses who don't treat my son like a child but watching Paige interact with my son just made me grateful and showed me there are people who see others as human beings. Paige not only was amazing to our table but when I was talking about her to my son, the table behind AND next to us all got into the conversation that she is the best waitress we've ever had. When we expressed this to her, she was so grateful and told us she just started a month back. WOW! Good job managing staff on adding such a GREAT and ATTENTIVE team member to your team. My husband and I were at this restaurant today (12/6/19). We had a waiter by the name of Markason. He was the worst waiter we ever had there. All the other waiters and waitresses we saw were attending their customers on a timely fashion. It seemed like we waited forever before he came to our table and asked us what we wanted to drink and then we waited and waited and waited for our drinks. He said he was waiting for the soup my husband had ordered which had already been brought to him by someone else. He was the same for the rest of the meal. He never once came back to ask us how our meal was and if were satisfied. When we asked him for the dessert menu he said that he had lost his and would be right back with another on. Be right back??? Again he took forever and my husband was getting even madder and wanted to leave but I wanted my dessert. So as not have a long wait we asked for the check when be brought our desserts. That was the only time he was quick because he wanted his money. My mother and I brought my grandmother and daughter to lunch on Friday around 1:00pm. My grandmother is diabetic. When we walked in they told us it would be about 15 minute wait. They should also tell people that the salt that's on the table is sea salt...MUCH stronger than regular table salt. They should also tell you that you can adjust the grinder to make a finer-ground salt. Will not go back to this location. read more

Been here a few times with friends. Never been disappointed by a visit here. It is well-maintained and the service certainly is friendly enough. This is a good place to bring a small group. I've had burgers, burritos, and salads here. All were just fine. The prices are pretty reasonable, too. A dinner here will set you back $10-$15 (add about $5 if you get a drink, too). They do have decent meal deals that allow you to get appetizers, meal, and dessert for about $15. Not too shabby. Remember to ask for popcorn to munch on while you wait for your food! The bread was a little hard, and the au jus was mediocre-to-good. Drink menu is actually pretty good. I got the Moscow Mule with Grey Goose instead of Smirnoff (cause you know, standards). Drink was very good. The misses got the "Hawaiian Vacation", tasty but a little sweet. I will admit this went down like juice, making it a dangerous drink if you're not careful. When my wife and I first moved to Massachusetts two years ago we where very skeptical about trying 99. We absolutely love it though, especially this Danvers restaurant. We always have such a pleasant experience and the food is always great. Today we went in and it was very dead due snow early this morning and it being MLK day. I always expect good food at 99 and have never been disappointed. Tonight's meal did have one minor disappointment. The seafood chowder was good, but certainly not among the best that I have in other North Shore restaurants. Our selections were outstanding. Both of us had the double bleu iceberg wedge salad, which was as good as any we have had anywhere. My wife had a new item on the menu, the colossal meatball.
