Everything felt a little overwhelming at first, but the staff were super friendly and helpful. If you order a certain amount, you also get a chance to win a prize, which makes the experience even more fun. The restaurant is located inside a mall and stays open late, making it a convenient option. I really loved how clean everything was, and the spices and sauces came in individual packages. Everything feels so new and well organized. Prices aren't bad at all. Highly recommend!

Theres a large selection of skewers to choose from that they ring up at the register before you go back to your table. Drinks, hot foods, and specialty skewers you order via the QR code. They helped us with what went on the rotating bbq and what went on the flat portion as well as giving times/hints to when things would be done. The skewers are well priced even though the cuts/bites are a bit smaller. However everything was delicious and you have plenty of dip/sauce/seasonings at your disposal. After your meal they count your skewers and for every 10 you are entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize. It's not guaranteed but it's a fun additional thing after your dinner (I got a $10 voucher). All in all a nice spot to just hang out, grab a beer, and have some skewers.

Wagyu Place BBQ is one of the more upscale all-you-can-eat Japanese barbecue restaurants in…read moreFlushing, specializing in premium wagyu beef, sushi, seafood, and table-side grilling. We walked into a modern interior with a lively atmosphere, the kind of space that works well for groups or special occasions. The dining room had a polished, energetic feel with the grills built into each table and the staff moving efficiently between stations. Unlike most AYCE barbecue spots, the focus here is on higher quality cuts of beef, and the staff regularly came by to help grill the meat, making the experience feel more polished than a typical buffet. The wagyu is the main reason to visit. We ordered a selection and found the meat well marbled, tender, and noticeably better than what you would typically find at standard Korean or Japanese barbecue buffets. Depending on the menu we chose, there was a wide selection of Australian, American, and Japanese wagyu, along with sushi, sashimi, seafood, and other side dishes. Every meal also began with a cheese lobster, which came out rich and creamy, a nice addition before the barbecue started. We appreciated that the portions were generous, so it was better to order gradually instead of trying to sample everything at once, and the variety across the menu gave us room to explore different cuts and preparations. The dessert selection ended up being one of the biggest surprises. Fresh fruit like pineapple and cantaloupe was exceptionally sweet, and the soft serve and other desserts were a refreshing way to finish such a heavy meal. It helped balance out all of the rich meats, making the meal feel more complete instead of ending on another savory course. Service was another standout. The staff frequently checked on the table, replaced grills when needed, and helped cook and cut the meat to ensure everything was prepared properly. Since the restaurant is popular, reservations are a good idea during peak dinner hours, though the experience ran smoothly once we were seated. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the flow steady without feeling rushed. Overall, Wagyu Place BBQ is one of the stronger premium AYCE barbecue experiences in Flushing. The quality of the wagyu, attentive service, and wide variety of barbecue, sushi, seafood, and desserts help justify the higher price. It is more expensive than a typical barbecue buffet, but if you are looking for a higher-end all-you-can-eat experience centered around quality wagyu, it is worth considering.

Great place to come in groups or as a couple, where the focus is the grilling and eating. The staff were very nice where we practically had a dedicated person grilling our food. Be aware they don't know much English, but the menu is in English or Chinese. The must have is the eel. Some of the best grilled eel I've had,

I love that they have a huge variety of flavors and seasonings: 3 sauces, korean ssamjang peppers and garlic, 3 spice blends for dipping. The servers were all very friendly and gave us some great recommendations on what to order, so we got a combination of beef and pork cuts, as well as veggies and eel. The eel is so fresh and juicy, the waitress told us they get their eels live and process it in their own kitchen. They cook everything right in front of you, unlike kbbq places where you cook meat yourself. I also appreciated the good ventilation, we didn't smell like meat at all after leaving the restaurant! Additional notes: - we thought it was funny that they put sprinkles in the potato salad, it may seem kind of odd but definitely very Chinese (compliment btw) - it ended up being almost $50 pp for 4 people - we got lucky and didn't have to wait, but I hear there's usually a line, so definitely call ahead to suss out the wait
