Fun dark dive bar in Georgetown. Parking can be a struggle in this area on the after 8p. Bartenders are extremely nice and welcoming. Some of the best affordable drinks in Seattle. Food is descent but could use more seasoning. Chill place to grab drinks with people without any drama that you might encounter downtown on a weekend.

Reuben Sandwich with fresh cut fries. Fantastic fresh hand sliced corned beef.

I decided to try the Reuben Sandwich for a late lunch. I've had the fresh hand cut fries on a previous visit and was very happy. I was extremely surprised when I was served the plate, I was getting a first rate Reuben! I understand they cook their corned beef in house and they hand slice the meat in 1/4" slices, fresh! This ain't no cheap corned beef round roast, it's brisket, and it's cooked perfectly! It was heaped on nicely grilled true Rye bread that had a nice crisp bite as I went in for my first taste. The corned beef brisket was perfect, fresh and moist. It was higher quality too as it was not heavily over salted in the brine. A nice slice of Swiss cheese was melted on the beef and topped with excellent sauerkraut. Definitely rinsed like it should be, to remove the acidic taste and also had a nice crunch texture. The Russian/Thousand Island dressing was very good and enough that I immediately asked for extra napkins. The result? It was near a perfect Reuben Sandwich. Delicious, enjoyable! I give the plate a 9/10, mainly because the cook decided to serve up some old leftover French fries, probably from the night before. I'm know their fries are very good as I mentioned I've had them previously.

More ice please

Bad drinks( this would be the reason you go to a dive right ?) , bad service. If you are not a regular don't bother showing. Also don't bother trying to pay more for anything extra. You can't customize anything even something simple like adding a hamburger patty.

Cool dive bar. Free pool. Strong drinks. Glory holes. Very chill atmosphere, perfect for what we were looking for this afternoon.

Really cool vibe that's relaxing and at ease. I'm pleasantly surprised by the consistent number of patrons coming in despite the area. Highlights: - Plenty of seating to chill and enjoy - Free pool! - Awesome Halloween decorations! Festive while not too overwhelming. - Reasonable and fair prices The minor grievances include that it was kind of too dark to read/see yet that's the vibe. Note that for credit card purchases need a minimum of $10; otherwise a $1 surcharge.

This place rocks. It's one of the rare bars that doesn't try to hide what it is or be something it's not. Very reasonably priced drinks, free peanuts, food menu for purchase (quality fries), shuffleboard, pinball machines, just a good time bar. Would highly recommend coming here and will definitely be back myself

9lb Hammer is addicting. Thank god I don't live close to there, otherwise I'd be there every night. This place is a simple bar that has great character. There are no yuppies that go here and in fact, you're more than likely to run into a couple burners here. I've caused serious damage to my liver at this place. I can't remember ever leaving sober. The only bummer is that it's in the middle of Georgetown, which can be a pain to get to. A cab ride home is super expensive, so convince one of your sober friends to drive you there and back.

Pretty much a dive bar, they have a great beers on tap and the bartender was nice. Try the ft George vortex if they got it.

The taps are solid and mostly local, and the booze scene has potential too, with excellent mid-to-top shelf selections just BEGGING for creative cocktails. They have some good ideas here for a bootstrap bar food program, but thus far it lacks cohesiveness and permanence. The menu seems to change on a whim, but suffice to say it's hotdog-centric, with vegetarian choices too. They have panini grills, but offer no sandwiches. I think they are being used to heat a sausage-style breakfast hotdog product, which is a waste. They need to think about this and dial it in. I realize food waste can be frustrating, especially in start-up mode when money is tight. But remember: half the battle is letting folks know the food is there! Advertise, inside and out, make it special, and keep it consistent so folks will come back for more! You don't need to please everybody, just the patrons you know will appreciate the style and atmosphere here; the rest can pound sand. Also: Pickle some eggs! I recommend Joe Jost's famous and easy recipe. The staff here is friendly and fun-loving, and like most Georgetown joints, disinclined to pandering to high-maintenance drama queens. So if you are one, or are on a date with one, go to over-priced Capitol Hill hipster watering holes where they pander to the privileged more willingly. Your whining will be wasted hereabouts. Free pool Sunday and noon-to-six happy hours! A good place to watch a game without the inconvenience of backwards-baseball cap and muscle shirt-wearing brahs high-fiving and pretending they're not somewhat gay. This is a working-class, alt-rock, industrial grunge atmosphere. So be real. Recommended if you like a bit of grit, poorly played pool, and hotdogs with your local micro. A three-star hang with five-star dive potential. Give them a shot!

Brass Bar -- Lunch Review…read more The lighting is adequate, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The music is a little louder than I would prefer, especially considering how few customers are here. One thing that caught me off guard was the bench seating in the bar area. The cushions sink considerably deeper than they appear, which was unexpected when I first sat down. The bar had two televisions on, one showing ESPN and the other showing Family Guy. Personally, I would have preferred having a news channel available, particularly during lunchtime. For lunch, I ordered the Tavern Burger with french fries. The burger was excellent, although I felt it was missing lettuce, which would have been a welcome addition. The fries were equally impressive -- hot, crispy, and full of flavor. Definitely a highlight of the meal. One unusual aspect of the service was that water refills were self-service rather than handled by the staff. The water refill station was located near the restrooms, requiring customers to get up and refill their own glasses. Total cost: $13.06, including tax and tip.

Her response was.I don't really want to, but yes, my patience at that point had run to its end, and I said, Look, we got off on the wrong foot and I don't want this to go on So we had a great day, and I left. There's a limit to just how much snark I will take before it becomes uncomfortable. I walked a couple of doors down to my favorite Mexican cantina and had a great lunch with great service. I'm gonna be real with y'all - ya girl was HUNGOVER as all hell coming to this place. I was at the point where nothing was going to help besides hair of the dog, so... A Bloody Mary it was. I asked for it a tad spicy and it came prettttyyyy spicy, but my stomach also wasn't at it's normal state that day, so who knows. They come topped with olives, bacon, and pepperoni. At first I wasn't digging that, but after I sucked some of the drink down and came alive again, the bacon was tasting really good! Staff is friendly, they've got tons of space, and there's a solid food menu (didn't order but lots sounded good). Definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot. Don't expect to walk into something fancy, it's definitely just a dive but it's fun, fairly clean, and prices are fair. We'll be back!
