88 Tees is always a must stop whenever we come to Hawaii! If you've watched Terrace House Aloha State, you'll know this spot. It's not easily seen from the main road if you pass quickly since there isn't a large storefront sign, but you'll see a stairway from the sidewalk and you'll go upstairs to get to the shop. I feel like the prices definitely increased after that show got popular, unfortunately for me, but good for them! Still happy to support. There are so many different shelves and tables to look at here. If you don't mind digging through the chaos, you'll find some cute stuff! I always like grabbing a new long sleeve or hoodie here to bring back to California. They have so many different designs and colors, from newborn size all the way up!

    Say hi to Iya!!

My fiancé's sister bought him clothes from here as a gift previously and recommended this for unique tees. It was an interesting location where you go up the stairs and greeted with desks and shelves of clothes. The quality of clothes and items are really nice and the prints are cute. I actually bought a harness for my fur baby here, which ended up a bit small (a bit of miscalculation on my part when reading the tag) but the item itself was so cute and nice. I loved talking to the owner's family and getting to know their pet Iya too. She is so adorable!!! Highly recommend and also would visit again when I come back to Honolulu!

88 Tees is a well-known T-shirt shop that can be said to be a symbol of Hawaii. The iconic character "Yaya" expresses the spirit of "Ohana" and "Aloha" who share happiness with family and friends. The other day, I found an 88 Tees shop on my way to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Kuhio Street. I was attracted by the Yaya sign and went inside, and just like the Kalakaua shop, I was greeted by the familiar sight of a mountain of T-shirts. A man who seemed to be the manager was busy folding T-shirts and handling the cash register. He noticed me and spoke to me in a friendly manner. He introduced himself to me and I noticed his name is Jack. I learned that they had gone through a lot of hardships, such as reducing the number of stores due to the COVID-19 pandemic and opening a new store in this location. Still, there were customers constantly coming and going on Kaiolu Street, and it was impressive to see him always busy and moving around by himself. That's because he is a veteran staff member who has served many celebrities and supervised the original T-shirts they make. The Kalakaua store is decorated with photos of celebrities and the owner everywhere, but there were no photos of that kind here. However, the veteran staffer here knew the history of 88 Tees and showed us some photos of famous people on his iPhone. Even though the number of stores has decreased, 88 Tees is still an important Hawaiian business for us locals! I hope that the stores will continue to thrive and attract more customers than ever before. The location is diagonally opposite the Ritz-Carlton, marked by Yaya-chan. Just like the Kalakaua store, please go to this store and have fun!

Luki was so sweet and taught us some things about the store! Huge selection, definitely something for everyone! Amazing vibes and atmosphere in the store and is a must stop in Waikiki!!!

Was fortunate enough to come back again & visit. Overall just a fun experience. So many designs on shirts, hoodies & sweatshirts. The store is fun & the employees help make it a very good experience. Arcella (I hope I spelled her name right!) helped me again. Super helpful, friendly & personable. Another lady helped me out as well, didn't catch her name, but also very friendly.

My husband and I did a little staycation since we're from Waipahu side and grew up here we don't really find ourselves in Waikiki as to our fellow locals iykyk Waikiki isn't all that of a safe place to be in. Anywho I seen some other reviews and we didn't have any type of racist interactions at all with any of the staff. We're both Filipino and I'm mixed with Hawaiian and Chinese my husband being full Filipino. We were immediately greeted and welcomed and we had very nice small talk with the staff. The shop has TONS of shirts and other things that I found very cute!!! My husband and I were familiar with the shop by watching terrace house lol. We both agreed this shop is a really good stop for tourist. The entrance is enticing enough where you get curious and want to see what's up the stairs. And we both agreed if you do end up spending money here although they offer a small Kamaaina discount it is a bit pricey for shirts. However we bought matching shirts with whiskey the French pup on it (which btw you can see in real life since they bring whiskey to work that little guy is famous) a shirt for our 6 year old which I still think is such a cute shirt!! And a baby long sleeve hoodie onesie for our 10month old. We asked ourselves are we ever going to come again? And tbh probably not since again we're locals and Waikiki isn't much of a hangout place for locals. But for the sake of our staycation we splurged a little. Do we regret it? No not necessarily since we both know that these shirts you can only purchase here in at their shop in Waikiki so it's kinda like a souvenir type of deal. I know it sounds silly but as locals we both know we aren't going to be adventuring Waikiki anytime soon again. Do I recommend stopping by? YES I do!!! Do think the staff is nice? YES I do!!! Do I think you should also purchase something here?? YES I do!! Especially if you have kids idk if it's just the mommy in me but the moms out there once you go in you'll get it!! lol I also didn't realize how many celebrities actually stop by this shop to so I guess you can say they made a name for themselves which is awesome!! Do I think it's a little pricey?!! YES I do but like I said it was a splurge purchase I mean go ahead and treat yo self and you can tell others "you can only get this tee from 88tees your not gonna find it anywhere else on the island" exclusively in Waikiki !!!! They also gave us a free bombucha reusable bag with our purchase which I thought was also cute!! It has there little cute logo on it Basing the 4 stars based on price of the clothing again it is pretty pricey but just tell yourself it's worth it and that the items you bought are super cute it'll make you feel a lot better hahaha cause I mean it isn't a lie besides I guarantee you'll get compliments on your shirts from your friends and family local or not Much love 88tees

Large selection of apparel It's a hunt and peck store so expect to spend a lot of time in the store. It gets messy. I found some great deals.

We love visiting this store every time we're in Waikiki - it never fails to impress! Impressed by the range of clothing and aloha trinkets that keeps improving, although it's a shame that their prices have gone up due to inflation. The shelves can get messy as people dig for the best deal. The staff always bring that laid-back island vibe and greet you with a warm, hang loose attitude!

The Merrie Monarch vibes must have kicked in and I had to finally pop that cherry. I initially went with my hula family and used that time to soak everything in. The next day I went back alone to purchase a few items I couldn't stop thinking about. Both Nāpali and Hōkūpa'a hyped me up during my visit and all items I tried on was sold on the spot. Countless hugs and mahalo were exchanged during my encounter with them. Again, I had to go in a third time just to mahalo your (business) ʻohana during my trip to Hilo! Just about a week later I figured I would "window shop" again during my lunch break at South Shore Market and I was able to catch up with Hōkūpa'a. Then after some time of being educated about the items at the store I was sold again - resulting in me purchasing even more items than I did in Hilo! More hugs and mahalo were shared that day. I can't thank Nāpali a me Hōkūpa'a and the rest of the Salvage Public ʻohana enough for your continued legendary service every time I visit.
