Amazing staff and a very wide selection of cute T's. Love this place always stop in yearly to pick up a shirt when I'm in Oahu.

If wasn't for the Netflix show Terrance House, I will never know this place exist. It is easy to miss when you walk by, when you see the small sign, you need to go up to the second floor and you will see tons of T-Shirt. The sign listed each short sleeve T-shirt is selling for $26.99, you really need to dig through it to find the design that you like because most T-Shirts are fold up and I guess this is the fun part of it. Go check this please out. read more

Fun place to dig through! They have mostly 88 Tees branded items but lots of vintage Levi's and Jean jackets. It's a little pricey but I walked away with a unique souvenir so it was worth it. The owner was also very kind and helpful. Definitely stop by! read more

Yes, like everyone else, I visited 88 Tees because I saw Avian on Terrace House (Netflix). I saw her in the store, but I didn't want to bother her, so I went about my souvenir shopping. I saw a couple of Japanese guys who spoke Japanese with her, and she graciously took a photo with them. She seemed very nice. My rating is more about the quality of shirts that are being sold, and the prices they're being sold at. Although I didn't much like having to dig through piles of tshirts to find the designs I liked, I feel like that's more of a personal preference than anything (some people probably like the "treasure hunting" feel). In my humble opinion, I felt like the quality of shirts were... pretty bad. Thin materials or materials that would pill easily. Some prints were off center or ironed on crooked, so just make sure that you inspect the shirts carefully before you buy them. Would I recommend 88 Tees to others? It's a cute shop; if you loved Terrace House and Avian, then it might be worth it for you to pick up a souvenir shirt here. Otherwise, I think you can skip the shop if you're on a really tight schedule. read more

Cute place to get T-shirts or souvenirs for men, women, kids or dogs! If you watched Terrace House, you would definitely recognize this place since one of the girls, Avian, in the Aloha State series owns this shop. The decor is cute and you can find a lot of designs with her logo and cute characters with a character named Yaya. They all have a Hawaiian theme or design. I've bought a few cute shirts and tote bags. Definitely recommend checking them out if you want a unique Hawaiian souvenir and support a local business! read more

Ok. Just average shopping experience. It's a small local brand-successful one too on the main Waikiki strip. A small warehouse in a stuffy dark upstairs loft. The place has plenty character and styles are Japanese influenced. Prices are fair for being I the heart of Waikiki. This is one of those local finds that pay off well if you find something you like. Not big on the helpful shopping experience. You just have to go through the tables and cubbies to see if anything catches your eye. I wasn't able to find anything this time, but that doesn't mean you won't. Go check it out. read more

This store is my favourite store in Waikiki! Quality and unique place to shop. It is so cute and fun to shop when I come to Waikiki! read more

As a fan of Terrace House, I definitely bookmarked 88 Tees as a stop. It's also very convenient as it's located on the main Waikiki street. We visited twice actually -- the first time just to take a look and finally see what the store is like and the second time is because I wanted a particular hat so we stopped by to get it. During our second visit we actually saw Avian!!! She was super nice and friendly, helped us find the cap we wanted. I was so shy so my boyfriend helped me ask her if she was Avian haha (we were honestly both shocked to see her at the store!!) Definitely a gem to visit -- truly ohana vibes in there PRO TIP: 1. If you are purchasing, make sure to ask them about any promotions. Avian told us if we follow her or the store on Instagram and post, we can get a free t-shirt! 2. The store is kind of hunt for a treasure vibe so if you are looking for something in particular, go on their website and ask one of the friendly staffs to help you find! 3. Even if you are not purchasing just GO and check it out. The store is truly great vibes (sometimes the dogs would run around too super cute and friendly!) read more

Unique styles, good prices, and friendly owners. If you are looking for something different, check them out. We got cute hats and T-shirts.

Great choice of tees caps and more with a local style. Got this for $12 cute and cheap

Wonderful people with beautiful souls! Also very nice quality clothing for a price that won't hinder your vacation :) Much love read more

1/31/23: Massive selection here, you could literally spend an hour or so just looking, and then another 30 mins separating them into your Yes/No/Maybe piles, and then another hour looking through more shirts to replace the one's you've just discarded to the "no" pile. Great quality, soft shirts, long-lasting print screening is used (unlike the low quality heat transfer method you'd find at those 5 for $20 t-shirt booths). IMO a great souvenir says where it's from (ie: 88 tees, Hawaii, Honolulu, Oahu), and you will find that here! read more

88 Tees - Kids size 4 (or 4T), $16.99 for kid sizes - Women's Clothing Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

My absolute favourite place to shop in Waikiki. It's not close. Their selection of t-shirts, hoodies, and other clothing make for the perfect souvenirs. Walking up the steps lined with licence plates, you enter a dimly lit shop filled to the ceiling with branded 88 Tees clothing. This is my happy place. T-shirts adorned with cute characters and aloha vibes printed in limited runs. I love digging thru the piles upon piles of options to find the perfect shirts to bring home as newfound treasure. What I love most about this place is the staff. They are just so fantastic to speak to. My wife, daughter, and I spent well over an hour speaking with the staff and family friend about their roots in Japan, Taiwan, and of course, Hawaii. It's no wonder people from all over the world come back to the store even if just to say hello. If it's not obvious, I'm a huge fan and can't wait to return! read more

This was a cool find. My friend got to take a picture with the woman that owns the store- she was on some show I didn't watch. But I think this place had a little better quality shirts than ABC stores, if you wanted to get a bunch of souvenirs. Lots more patterns and designs to choose from; my friend got a bunch of tank tops for men. Notice the hours, so go during the day. read more

Ended up here because of Terrace House but a really cool clothing store. They specialize in graphic tees with Hawaiian and Japanese influence. There are SO MANY shirts to go through it is somewhat overwhelming but that's part of the experience. The folks at the store were super friendly as well. A great place to find gifts to bring back to the mainland! read more

Aloha all; this is a very famous t-shirt shop that Japanese love and locals have enjoyed. They have so many types of designs and some are ones you will know and others will be new to you. Just go check it out and see what they have. The owners are always there and super cute, they love talking to all thier customers. read more

First, I am embarrassed to say that despite the fact that I lived in Waikiki for over 6 years I never ventured into this delightful shop. They moved from their Kuhio Avenue location to a second floor spot on Kalakaua, just Ewa of Lewers Street. As you climb the stairs you'll see license plates from all over the country on each level. Once inside, you're greeted by one of the lovely ladies who not only tells you where things are but deftly folds tee shirts while she speaks. This cavernous space has tons of tee shirts, hoodies, aloha shirts and collectables of all kinds. Jack rang me up, while confessing to him that it was my first, but definitely not my last, visit. I found what I was looking for so I was a very happy camper! read more

Have always wanted to come by this spot to grab some clothing ever since I saw Terrace House! So glad that this year I got the chance to stop by and omg, the selection amount is insane! Definitely be ready to sort through all the different kinds of tshirts and sweatshirt designs! I couldn't decide on what to get! You can spend a whole day in there. All clothing selections are good quality and the staff there are so welcoming and are always willing to help when needed! read more

Super cute store that was branded in 88. Started off as a vintage store selling vintage items and clothing before the owner decided to make her own shirts. Now making their own t-shirt designs they have expanded! They expanded out to 6 stores and downsized now to just 2 stores. This is the original and a few blocks down across the international marketplace, the 2nd smaller store is there. They have the same designs at both spots, but since the original store is bigger they have more in stock. One bad thing about the store is that everything isn't organized by design but by size. So sometimes it's hard to find that design you may be looking for. But it's also pretty fun having to search for what you want. It feels that much more satisfying once you actually find it! The original store also has a bigger storefront for the owner's daughter's store ILA swim! Super cool. Love coming to this store to find those hidden treasures! The staff are super friendly, super nice, very knowledgeable about the history of the store! read more

Super friendly staff! Richard and Jason gave us stickers, lollipops, and nice tote bags for the shirts we bought. We also got a 10% coupon from them, which we appreciated a lot. The vibe is super positive here, and there are many interesting artifacts around. The shirts are super cute, and also TERRACE HOUSE. My friends and I saw Avian at the store!! read more

Had to leave a review because while my wife and mother-in-law were shopping, Richard hooked up my son with HELLA lollipops, a tote, a mix cd, and stickers. My son has kept talking about these lollipops all day and the store we got it from. Awesome shirts but also amazing service! Note: we came here because of Terrace House but just loved the store and bought a bunch of stuff. Go here when you're in OAHU! read more

Last day in Hawaii and I made sure to stop by 88 tees. Amazing customer service, everyone was so helpful and we even got to meet Whiskey (their french bulldog). He was the inspo for some of their new shirts - which we ended up getting. Their shirts are fun and great quality, especially Avian's ILA swim line! I was lucky enough to run into Avian and she was sweet enough to stop and take a pic with me as she was she on her way out. read more

Such great service at this cute store! I had been here once 15 years ago and made it a point to come back this trip. It hasn't changed much from my memories of it from back then. The staff here this time were definitely more upbeat and helpful than I remember from before and they gave a lot of freebies with purchases (like a free cd of the playlist they were playing in the store, a 10% off future purchases card, and a reusable tote bag). I brought my friend who lives in ala moana here and she had as much fun looking around in here as I did. She liked it so much she ended up getting a couple of really cute dresses here. (They have one small fitting room hidden in the back if you want to try things on - just ask one of the salespeople!) We were here so long that one of the guys checked in with us asking how we were doing..I said I was super thirsty so he ran to the back and brought out two Fiji waters for us! Now that is service! read more

Like many Asian Americans living outside of Hawaii, I was introduced to 88 Tees through Terrace House. But the chance to meet Avian as she's helping to close shop isn't why we found ourselves coming back again and again. The vibe is funky and fun, the music is always banging (they also give out CDs of the mixes they make and play in the store!), and their clothes are really great for the most part. My husband did buy a pair of sunglasses for like $6 that disappointingly broke after a week but we have been pretty happy with everything else we've gotten. I enjoy wearing their tees when on vacation--the cotton is light and breathable without being sheer--and my husband has a couple of their sweatpants which I'm obsessed with. I could be biased, but I think he looks REALLY good in them and they've held up nicely after multiples wears and washes. Finally, Avian and her mom are just the best! Last time we visited, I was 5 months pregnant and Avian's mom gifted me baby clothes for our son. We can't wait until he's big enough to wear them and to bring him back to this special place :) read more

I love this store! Everytime I visit, this is a must! All of their clothing are very cute! The only problem about this place is you have to be ok looking through piles of clothes. They do their best to organize it, but some sections do get messy and you have to dig in. I really like that they take your temperature before entering and asks for you to sanitize your hands. I felt safe entering. Also, I went at a time that it wasn't crowded. I always get a size bigger because sometimes I forget to hang it after washing and instead I would dryer it. Doing that, the clothing shrinks a little bit. Love this place and will continue shopping here! read more

Was here for vacation for about 5 days (not enough I know), but I had introduced my family here and wanted to meet Avian! But I ended up staying and coming back for the environment and the clothes. My whole family fell in love with the store that we had to go back a second time before we fly back. There's a huge selection here! Also the staff is super duper nice and kind. Truly felt the ohana vibes here. They interact with customers so well. Their dogs are super cute!! Really hope to come back to Hawai'i soon just to visit this place again! Meanwhile I'll be shopping online. Thank you 88 tees! read more

88 Tees is one of the local retail clothing goods shops the tourist books all recommend checking out if you're in this area. It's Oahu vibes and branding at it's finest. The 88 tee's branding as well as their Hawaiian graphics and mascot presence is strong in all of their items. When first arriving at this location, it's easy to miss. It's next to an ABC convenience store or something similar, but the storefront isn't easy to spot nor is the signage very noticeable. It's literally a staircase up to the next floor where they're located. They were already really popular and doing well, but after the owner's daughter Avian appeared on the Hawaii series of Terrace house, their popularity and name got even more well known and blew up more. When you come up, they have covid checks for temperature. The location itself is very down to earth and eclectic mom-pop style store. It's setup reminds me of a Marshalls retail in terms of where you dig to find hidden gems and pieces. They have sweaters, hoodies and tshirts, and the graphic hawaiian style branding is very apparent. It like a cute-sy Hawaiian girl and boy I believe. If there is no graphic, they have 88-Tees slapped on everything. They do have some items more on the subtle side, so once again, you just got to look around and dig. They have 1 or 2 fitting rooms in the rooms behind the cashier desk so definitely try on to see if it fits well. If you're looking for some nice local merch, look no further and check 88-Tees out! read more

Updating my review since I was able to go back to the store recently. I love the designs and I love the cut on some shirts. It's so cute, but it's so hard to find the perfect T since everything is a huge mess. I even asked the worker to help me and they couldn't find my size either. I REALLY wanted to buy something 88 tees, but ended up just getting an ILA SWIM shirt instead. The staff was really friendly. I just need to go back when I have more time to rummage through all the shirts and sizes. read more

How have I never been to this shop before? Luckily I came with barely any tees packed for this trip because I walked away with a handful of shirts from this shop. They have tons of fun designs for men, women and kids. Prices average about $25 per shirt but they also have a few mystery bags which have at least 1 each men's/women's/kid's for $20 total. Pretty good deal. Met the shop owner Loukie Wong, and her daughter Avian Ku from Netflix's Terrace House: Aloha State. They were both super friendly, as were their staff. It was a little difficult to find the sizes we needed initially but their staff knew exactly where everything was supposed to be, even if other shoppers had rifled through the stock. Shirts are super comfy and soft! Highly recommend if you're looking for some fun casual tees for yourself or a souvenir to take home. read more

I've been shopping at 88 Tees for years! There are always great finds to be had. I still wear a crew neck sweatshirt from 10 years ago. Tonight I got the pleasure of meeting the owner.
