    Mango creme brûlée birthday cake

85°C is named for the thought that 85°C is the optimal temperature for brewing espresso. This Taiwanese chain is known for their delicious coffees, teas and pastries. Taro rolls. Marble Taro. Brioche. Egg tarts. Milk Buns. Mango Creme Brûlée. My favorite is the Coconut Twist. Sweet bread filled with coconut and raisins and topped with sliced almonds. Grab a cold or hot drink. Add sea salt foam. Their Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea is so delicious and refreshing. The Thai Tea and Milk Teas are great, too. Sign up for their 85° rewards program for some discounts on their sweet treats.

They had a reopening event so my sister and I went and got a T-shirt, bag and a mug with purchase. Great service and pastries are fresh and delicious. Grabbed a bunch to take to the Zoo to munch on. My to go to drink over there is the grapefruit.

I probably visit this location the most compared to others because of its close proximity to 99 ranch, making it easy to walk over after I finish grocery shopping. Small store but has everything you'd expect. I decided to try a drink today and got the sea salt oolong tea. A bit too sweet for me even at 30% sugar. Would've preferred the oolong tea flavor to be more present. On a side note, ordering cakes here is always a seamless process! Highly recommend for parties!

I was headed to a different coffee shop but passed it up and while going back I remembered this location so I stopped here instead. I love that this location is small. They have all the main things you want and you can get in and out real quick. My Vietnamese coffee was wonderful and I tried the spicy sausage today and it was really good.

85 has been a staple for me ever since I've discovered their Sea Salt Coffee. But today, I decided on trying the Sea Salt Matcha Latte and it didn't disappoint. The sea salt foam mixed into the matcha just made it a super creamy drink, and the regular sweet isn't overly sweet, i'd just maybe go 50% next time. Great color, great matcha flavor and super creamy I'd give it a solid 8.5/10.

Stopped in for groceries at 99 ranch market, ended up leaving & down the road a few minutes and realized I left my water bottle in the cart. Drove back, saved my water bottle, and decided I deserved a treat, so ventured into 85deg Bakery. Inside, although a Saturday, it wasn't crowded so I could easily peruse the selection to decide what I wanted, with a mixture of sweet and savory selections in the clean, brightly lit store. I decided on a strawberry cream cake slice behind the glass. It's a light and airy cake and has a subtle strawberry flavor to the cake. Admittedly the cake was a little dry, so it was helpful they have the cream layers but it could benefit from maybe some jam in there to help with moisture and to enhance the strawberry flavor. The interesting and maybe my favorite part was the pudding like filling right in the middle. Not quite sure what it is but it reminds me of flan and I enjoy that texture. The cake didn't blow me away, but if you want an airy, subtle, not overly sweet cake this'll do

A lovely chain bakery that has all kinds of Asian pastries and baked goods. Their Vietnamese coffee is only served iced with small ice cubes, so get a big straw. 8/3 they were giving away free keychains with a purchase which were cute!

I'm not joking when I tell you this is the best bread I've had in years!!! The little lemon muffins are too addictive, they have the perfect consistency it's like biting a cloud. The garlic cheesy bread is mouthwatering. Now let's get serious... the tiramisu cake here has me on a chokehold. When I say I've been going here multiple times a week I almost feel guilty for eating so much bread. It's just that good. You've gotta try it out, trust me. Prices are good and there's good parking. The people here are always kind and check you out quickly. Another thing I love is that they don't flip the iPad and ask for a tip it's just a very relaxing enjoyable experience. As you can tell I couldn't wait to get home and ate some in my car immediately after buying. Only detail is that there's really nowhere to sit, you just grab and go.

Came here around 8:30 am and only about half the bakery items were out. Maybe came too early but that was really disappointing because my favorite item wasn't out wahhhh. But what I did end up getting was good, as always. All the pastries are good so you really can't go wrong! And the latte was good.

Similar to all 85 degrees, the bread selection here is always nice and there are a lot to choose from. I got a new danish brioche that they had which was good, but I think I still prefer the original brioche loaf. I came specifically to try the pumpkin spice drinks that they had, and the matcha one in particular. I thought that the drink was a little too sweet for me, and the matcha was not strong enough. I also tried the pumpkin spice latte as a coffee, which I enjoyed more, but also found to be a bit too sweet. Next time I will probably ask for 70% sugar!

Great drinks but their large doesn't have a large amount of drink or sinkers:( makes me a bit sad that it was 2/3 filled w ice... I should have gotten a milk tea from Ranch 99 next door for half the price and twice the milk teas. Only thing is 95 got more variety of options so I come here 1:3 the time. If they give more drink than the ice it may be 3/3... so o don't have to ask myself where is my drink and still be thirsty by the time get to Gessner a couple lights down from their store and I'm out of liquid and waiting for the ice to melt so I got water to sip on... 85 & 99 are both grab and go boba places. If they had more of a sit down and bathroom to use too when o need to make a pee-stop (excuse for boba most of the time) I'll stop by here more than Ranch 99 that actually have a bathroom & boba & bakery. Just gimme more of the milk tea and I'll be back more often :) I'll overlook the other short-coming of the store

I love 85 bakery, but for some reason every time I come to this location my drinks come out tasting different from the one in Katy & Chinatown. I got the sea salt jasmine milk tea and it was extremely watered down. The service is much faster and kinder than other locations though.

This place is my amazing go to. I always have a sweet tooth and their bread no matter what kind is always reliably so soft and sweet!

What's nudged this place up to 5 stars for me is they have really improved their coffee game, specifically their quality of cappuccino's. Previously it seemed more of latte, but now to me its a legit Capp. Their choice of pastries hasn't changed, which gives you a good assortment of choices and they have added an additional barista or server which also is a nice touch for service. The only niggling items, parking can be tough, so you'll have to either walk a block or be quick to find a place close by. The first morning, a pretty big group of us walked in all at once, and I honestly expected a long wait. Instead, the two employees working absolutely crushed it. They got everyone's orders out surprisingly fast without sacrificing quality, and you could tell they were working incredibly hard. The pastry case alone is enough to make you stop in, everything looked fresh, beautiful, and homemade. I ordered the Texan Croissant both mornings because it was that good. It was easily one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The croissant was perfectly flaky, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the runny egg yolk took it over the top. I also grabbed a coffee the second day, and it was really good as well. My only critique is that both days we visited, there was a strong smell inside that reminded me of urine or maybe a mildew-type cleaning product. It wasn't enough to keep me from coming back (clearly, since I went two days in a row!), but it was definitely noticeable and something I hope they can figure out. Overall, the food was outstanding, the service was impressive, and I'll absolutely be back for another Texan Croissant if i'm ever in the area!

So, I usually order the croissants, which are big and appropriately flaky. I don't know if they make thier own dough. It is an intense project of ensuring the dough and butter mesh to appropriately create the steam in the dough. They could be using a lamination machine. Fun fact: I always make croissants from scratch. I also make a salmon en crute which I use canned salmon, cream cheese, peppercorns crushed, lemon juice and a pinch of lemon zest. I stuff my mixture in my croissant and top it with everything but the bagel seasoning from Trader Joe's. I also make a great raspberry almond cheesecake croissant. I add the raspberry and almond paste to the softened cream cheese. I add a bit of vanilla extract, one egg, and a little sour cream. Maybe 3/4 cup. Flo Paris has delicious banana bread. I absolutely love that it's not that sweet! They also have a delicious quiche Lorraine that is simple the best. They have a good variety of croissants. For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience.
