Lately I've visited this location more often because it's the only Asian bakery that opens at 7:30am! It's perfect when I wanna pick up some goodies on my way to work so it's very convenient. My favorite is still the butter brioche bread. I just found out recently their delicious Portuguese egg tarts! whoa so creamy and light! It comes in a box of 2, great for sharing...or not! Updated review: glad to see that this 85°C Bakery has managed to stick around. Recently, I visited this bakery with my whole family, and we filled a bag full of all sorts of different pastries, both salty/meaty, and sweet. Unlike most things in Arcadia, the prices here are actually quite reasonable, and while we walked out of here with a $35 bag of stuff, we probably did not need on our diets, it was a much bigger bag than most other places we buy stuff we don't need. So there's that. Parking was a little easier in the structure, just behind the place, especially because we were driving my wife's jeep wrangler, and not my Silverado. Makes a difference. I drop my kid off here every now and again before he takes the short walk to high school, and I'm pretty sure he might be semi-addicted to those sea salt chocolate drinks they make. While vacationing in the West Coast, I decided to try 85C for breakfast since there isn't one yet in NYC. My sister mentioned Taiwan has a couple and she likes it. This was a disappointment. They indicate that their bread is fresh from the oven. But it's not warm and did not feel like it's fresh from the oven. Coffee is standard. I can't complain about coffee because I don't normally drink coffee from Asian bakeries therefore I do not have comparison. Service needs a lot of improvement. If you are providing customer service, you should show that you care. The cashier that tended us was rude and did not respond when asked a question or questions. It felt like pulling her teeth to get her to respond. I was expecting better tasting breads and service from a Taiwanese brand. Taiwan focused on presentation and customer service. read more

Consistent bread and great service at the Arcadia location. They typically have most breads in stock, but I wish they brought back the squid ink cheese bread! I definitely recommend grabbing a drink if you're already there, I always order a sea salt jasmine green tea, it's rich and creamy with just the right amount of salt to balance it out. During my most recent visit, I opted to buy eight different slices of cake instead of a full cake to celebrate my moms birthday, this way everyone can pick what they like and we can skip the hassle of slicing a cake and preparing plates. The employee who assisted me asked if I preferred individual boxes or a large one, I went for a large one so it would be easier to carry. Everyone probably already knows this chain. I like it since it's nearby and they have free EV charging. The people are nice and it's never too crowded to grab a seat. I mostly come in sporadically for a slice of cake. My favorite is the blueberry cheesecake since I'm a cheesecake guy. Tbh, the ones I make are better than theirs, but this is obviously much less work lol. It's usually decently clean and parking is easy even without an EV. I should probably try more of the other breads and goodies that 85 degrees is famous for, but I'm trying to eat less carbs. Came here today with my girlfriend for a grapefruit green tea fix and to my disappointment, there was no grapefruit slices that is usually in the drink. I'm so verse with how the drink looks and taste that I know there is always 3 pieces in the drink, not 2 not 4 but 3, today was a fat zero! It's really nice to have an 85 degrees conveniently located to me. It was Easter and I needed to drop off some goodies to my family's house from 6' away. With not a lot of options, I decided to swing by here to see if they were open...sure enough, they were! I got some bread and an iced coffee (because with this weather you need it), and before you knew it, I was on the road to victory! 85 degrees has stepped up their game with keeping people safe. They limit the number of people coming in, they have signs everywhere on how to socially distance, and everything is individually wrapped. They even have plexi-glass to help separate themselves from the guests during the sale transaction. On my way out the door, I noticed that they now have an ube brulee! The store is set up for safety of COVID. They allow a few customers at a time inside. The breads are no longer out in the open but individually wrapped and there are no window panels for you to need to flip to get bread. But if you happened to have touched something they do have hand sanitizer. I tried their December special. The iced sea salt chocolate milk tea 1/2 sweet (currently having a deal if you have their app for rewards). Not sure if I couldn't taste the chocolate because I got 1/2 sweet but tasted like milk tea with some chocolate chips. I still enjoyed the drink. I liked the combination of salty and sweet in this drink. For bread there was a sign that said they were resticted in ingredients due to the pandemic. I didn't see many of my usual favorites but there were still a good variety to choose from and quite delicious...some not pictured or half eaten as I finished it on my way home haha. This newly opened 85C Bakery (opened since last month) is located in the newly opened Momo Paradise and across the street from Sharetea. I came by this new location on New Year's day with my husband around 3:40 pm. It was rather busy inside and I had to wait in a small line to pay for the items I ended up purchasing, which was: Walnut Raisin Multigrain, $3 Jumbo Guava, $1.90. Curry Donut, 1.85. Potato Cheese, $2 ----------------- (Total= $9.58 after tax) Service was friendly and I always appreciate that employees at any 85C Bakery are always quick to bag up your bakery items. Just a few notes to make mention. Be sure to grab the liner for the tray so you can place your baked items on the tray instead of just directly on the tray. Also download the 85C Bakery app so you can accumulate points for all your purchases. You just have to scan the bar code at the check out each time so you get earn your points and use it redeem free food items. There is a parking structure that you are able to park in with plenty of parking. There is also several tables and chairs for you to enjoy your items but please note that there doesn't seem to be any outlets in case you wish to come here and study. Their soft opening is 12/04-12/12 from 9AM-6PM! I was so happy they opened one in this location, I'm usually in this area for work which is extremely convenient! Staff seem friendly. And their seating seems quite comfortable. Their bread area is smaller than I thought it would be but, thankfully this isn't an issue since they constantly come out with fresh bread/pastries. Their selection seems the same from other locations I've been to. Not sure if it's because it's soft opening and they're still working on their cleanliness? But I didn't feel it was sanitary when all the "new and clean" trays were soaking wet. As I didn't want to bring home bread/pastry that got wet home I looked through the few on top before grabbing a tray. There was one that still had crumbs and cream smeared across the top of tray still. A few parchment papers didn't hurt but I'd still like the trays to be dry and clean... I usually never write reviews for bakeries because it's not that complicated to get the bread you want and pay. But time after time, the cashiers are so rude. I usually come around 3 PM, on weekdays and it's always the same girl cashier that clearly hates her job. Today was my 4th time seeing her and I just feel bad that she hates her job so much. I even try to say thank you and have a nice day but she literally doesn't say anything. Also, I always buy almost $40 worth of bread and she tries to stuff all of it in one bag everytime! The bread here is amazing!!! I love the chocolate croissant, which is flakey and not too chocolatey. The Hokkaido custard bun is my favorite!! The bakery itself is similar to other 85s in the area, very clean and tidy. They always have a great selection of bread. My favorite is the brioche and the taro buns. This will likely be the last time I come to this location and if I could give 0 stars, I would! I went to pick up a birthday/mother's day cake for my birthday/mother's day last week. I went to get some pastries for my kids and ordered a cake as well. I was disappointed that the appearance of the cake was not to standard with blemishes all over with the backside being worse than the front. When cutting the cake, there was very little cake layer and a ton of cream. Once you begin eating the cake, the cake was super dry and honestly felt very grainy like sand with overwhelming amount of cream. No one enjoyed the cake and threw away their slice after one bite. Since the cake was not good, we just threw the entire thing away. I wasted $33 on a terrible cake. Please avoid getting cakes here! I moved back home here in Arcadia recently and I gotta say this place is the best spot to have opened up in the last 10-15 years on Duarte Road; trust me, this is coming from someone who went to Dana Middle School and Arcadia High down the blocks. I used to spend an insurmountable amount of time hanging around Duarte Rd after school as a kid looking for some quality stuff to buy and there was never really anything good around...If this was open back in the day, I can tell you I'd be spending my entire monthly allowance here. Pastries are really tasty and great quality, not stale and lazily made like some other Asian bakeries. You can easily find pastries for under $2 here. They also have some really unique items I haven't seen elsewhere like matcha-flavored or mango-flavored bun-like pastry items...were so good. But most surprisingly is how great the milk tea is here and also for just around $3-4. I never thought a bakery would make milk tea this good, simple/straightforward with legitimate tea flavor (their green milk tea is my fav) unlike all the other presumptuous boba joints that have been popping up around the area charging overcomplicated, overpriced drinks that don't even taste that good. The service was also great every time I have been here, no issues whatsoever. I've been here like 5 times in the past 2 months and I'm going to be coming every week once this pandemic settles down.
