Drive into the Calvary church parking lot and you will see their Cafe. The Acai bowl was absolutely delicious. There's plenty of bananas, blueberries, and strawberries on the top with granola and macadamia nuts. I've never had mac nuts in my acai but they were yummy!. The size is perfect and well enough to fill you up. They also have a large size that you can probably half with someone. It's huge. I had my first one on Tuesday, went again on Friday. After the first try, I couldn't resist and had to go again. I'd totally recommend. Cost for regular size was $10 and the large was $15. BTW - they also have lots of fresh fruit cups, smoothies, sandwiches,... I also heard they have dinners on certain nights too.

But the environment is beautiful, spacious and not crowded. they have a lot of coffee options except this morning,I only went with the regular drip, to which the barista made it beautifully. Probably will become my go to place for coffee in Aiea. Really the only complaint is the lack of Koi pond in the fish pond out front, but I don't feel like that's really a complaint, it's more of a wish.

Be careful, the cats like to escape the rooms when you're trying to enter/exit! Simple cafe style foods, a few chairs & tables to sit at while watching cats or eating/drinking. If you're prone to scents, I'd suggest you wear a face mask. Plenty of parking, friendly staff.

We'd really love to adopt a cat. We have donated money to Pretzel the puppy and other kitties at Toe Beans who needed urgent medical funds. Each time is a gamble on how well the visit will go because sometimes the kitties will be sick, or tired, and not in the mood to be social. There have been visits where the kitties had runny eyes, sneezed out mucus onto us, and just wanted to sleep. Today was one of those days. I'm not saying this is the kitties fault or that I blame them for being sick, the play rooms are small and so sickness between them can spread easily. It is odorous inside the establishment because there aren't open windows and the litter boxes are inside the rooms. They do have air purifiers but it doesn't help much to be honest. Today we made an appointment to go at 11, which was the earliest we ever went, and it was actually busier than we expected. They had rearranged the furniture around in the adult cat room so I had to crouch until one of the other guests offered me a stool to sit on. Two older women who seemed like regulars came into the room about 10 minutes after I entered and one of them moved a large cat bed off of one of the 2 benches so that she could sit. Then they scattered a bunch of cat treats from a bag that they had brought in themselves over the floor to feed the cats. I had never experienced that in my other visits and it was honestly off putting, because it made the free treats that are given to us to get the kitties attention pretty much useless. It just felt.. wrong. There was a strand of cat mucus on the grey cupboard that I was sitting on, and I warned my boyfriend to watch out for it before he sat down. One of the older women said "I don't think you should sit there, it's their litter box". Before she and her companion came in, another guest had been sitting on the cupboard. I only moved to sit on it once the guest moved to sit next to her girlfriend on one of the benches and because the stool was uncomfortable. Also, in our past visits, people always sat on that grey cupboard. So.. I don't know why she felt the need to tell me that. My boyfriend said that the 10 guest limit might be a bit too many people to let in at once to play with the cats. I find myself agreeing with him after today. We were really looking forward to hanging out with the cats today, but those 2 older women who dumped their own treats into the room like they were feeding a feral cat colony and the stressed, sick cats who just wanted to sleep or only move around to eat treats made us leave much earlier than the 50 minutes we paid for. Again, I appreciate what Toe Beans mission is, but they should look into changing certain things, such as installing open windows to allow ventilation and cleaning the rooms more. And maybe taking "sick days" for the cats so they aren't forced to entertain guests when they aren't feeling well.

I remember loving the previous restaurant that occupied this spot (Asian Grindz), so I decided to give New Town Cafe a try. I called the day before to order a small party pan of Fried Udon, and wow - it was really good! They were very generous with the beef, udon, and veggies. Unfortunately, the whole reason I ordered fried udon was to avoid eggs for my nephew, but I completely forgot to mention that when I placed the order... oops! Lol! He just skipped the noodles that day, but the adults were more than happy to enjoy his share for him! When I called to ask about pickup, I was hoping for 10am, but was told the earliest it could be ready was 10:30. I said, "Shux! I'll already be back in Ewa Beach by then, so it's okay." To my surprise, the woman on the phone offered to have it ready earlier, and we settled on 10:15 instead. I really appreciated her willingness to accommodate my schedule. As we were heading to the pickup, the same woman called letting me know my order was ready - it was almost 10am on the dot! Early!! She was also very friendly at the pickup window, which made the experience even better. The pricing was fair too - $60 for a small party pan. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu... and especially for another order of that delicious Fried Udon! Thank you to the New Town Cafe staff for the prompt and accommodating service! :)

My friend said that it would be ok because she enjoys trying new places, too. My friend knew exactly where it was because she knows someone who lives in that area. That made it easy for us to find. When she pulled into the lot, there were ample parking spaces. Once we got there, we needed a moment to check out the huge menu that was posted. They also had specials written on a black chalkboard in front. New Town Cafe has many types of offerings: Local plate lunches, Asian plate lunches, Burgers, Musubis, Saimin and Party Combos. You name it! They have so many choices. It was so overwhelming for us to decide so we ordered and shared the Mini: Cold Ginger Chicken and Hamburger Steak. Both plates came with 1 scoop of rice and 1 scoop of macaroni salad. I'm so glad that we shared because we could try two different plate lunches. The portions were big especially for a mini and both plates were ono! If I had to choose one, it would be the...HAMBURGER STEAK. The patties are homemade and the gravy is deLISH! There is also outdoor seating right behind the driving range. So if you are hungry for yummy and reasonably priced local plate lunches, go and check out NTC. You'll thank me for that!

Melanie was waiting outside and sent her daughter and other half to pick up their drinks when finished. The little girl said thank you and the worker smiled at her. Then I heard Melanie ask her other half "What's the name of this place?" I already knew she was going to write a negative review. Just a rude customer trying to find something to complain about. Service for me was good. The drinks did take a while to make, but the worker apologized for the wait and thanked me. To the yelper Melanie, learn some patience and have some grace.

They're located inside the Donquijote Food Court and have ample seating inside as well as outside. I went with the Wagyu burger, fries, and tossed salad, and all three were very tasty. The burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries were salty and crispy on the outside, and the tossed salad was light and the dressing paired perfectly with it. One thing to keep in mind: they make everything fresh to order, so the wait can be a little longer than your typical quick-service spot. I actually think the freshness is worth the extra time, but it's something to be aware of if you're in a hurry. Also tried the Apple Mint Mojito, which was delicious--light, refreshing, and a great complement to the burger. One tip: If you prefer your burger more well-done, definitely let them know when you order. The burger can come out on the rarer/juicier side, so communicate your preferred doneness upfront. Overall, a tasty meal with quality ingredients and a nice made-to-order feel. 5/5 stars and I'd definitely come back.
