The drive was definitely worth it though, because they have fun "Hawaii" and asian inspired flavors that rotate monthly to keep things interesting. I had their ube crinkle cookie and strawberry guava, while my partner had the Kauai kulolo. I like that their ice cream incorporates actual cookie bits to add texture and satisfaction to their desserts. Their flavors were bold, authentic, and memorable. Sage Creamery was excellent and a standout in terms of local ice cream makers in Hawaii. Highly recommend!

They also collaborate with events with different vendors occasionally (andagi, DJs, mochi, etc). They have "2" ice cream menus, one with their signature flavors (these never change) and seasonal flavors (these rotate, it used to change every month but it looks like they keep these flavors for a few months at a time). I love to visit whenever they have new flavors, but anything from their signature menu is yummy too. The prices are a little higher than chain ice cream shops, but they source local ingredients and make fun local flavors, so the prices are justified (IMO).

But I took my kids to another coffee truck (A Little A Latte) and like it goes with kids, they made me late. So I got here right at 10. But it's ok bc Cai.CafeX3 was just getting here. So I was a tad annoyed. But then I actually looked at the sign and it said 11am. They opened the doors right on time at 11 and took the first two customers in. I waited not even 5 more min before they let me in. Initially they were still making drinks for Jolene's staff which I think is awesome to bless their staff with a drink but it really delayed the drinks for the rest of us. They were very nice tho and kept apologizing. Wasn't a huge problem bc at the beginning of events like this you need to hit your groove. I was out of there by 11:22. The girls in front of me ordered a total of 4 drinks, and I ordered 3 drinks.... So I guess over all with all the staff drinks they had to make, and the fact that it was only one drink maker... they were still pretty quick. The line was wrapping around Jolene's so I think they will do well. I ordered the Vanilla Salted Caramel, the Strawberry Matcha Spritzer, and the Hojicha. They were only offering oat milk today, I think to manage the line, but if you go to their IG they normally offer other milks. I will need to try them again when I can choose bc I do not really like oat milk. But I do like how you can customize your sweetness level. All our drinks were good. My daughter pilfered the spritzer. Of the three the salted vanilla was the best. Their straws were cute pink heart straws that didn't photograph well in its wrapping. But my daughter says she's gonna use one on Wednesday bc it's pink lol. And we got a cute sticker too!

Melanie was waiting outside and sent her daughter and other half to pick up their drinks when finished. The little girl said thank you and the worker smiled at her. I overheard Melanie ask her daughter if the worker said "you're welcome" to which the daughter responded no. Melanie could be heard saying "some people are just awkward." Then I heard Melanie ask her other half "What's the name of this place?" I already knew she was going to write a negative review. Just a rude customer trying to find something to complain about. Service for me was good. The drinks did take a while to make, but the worker apologized for the wait and thanked me. To the yelper Melanie, learn some patience and have some grace.

They're located inside the Donquijote Food Court and have ample seating inside as well as outside. I went with the Wagyu burger, fries, and tossed salad, and all three were very tasty. The burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries were salty and crispy on the outside, and the tossed salad was light and the dressing paired perfectly with it. One thing to keep in mind: they make everything fresh to order, so the wait can be a little longer than your typical quick-service spot. I actually think the freshness is worth the extra time, but it's something to be aware of if you're in a hurry. Also tried the Apple Mint Mojito, which was delicious--light, refreshing, and a great complement to the burger. One tip: If you prefer your burger more well-done, definitely let them know when you order. The burger can come out on the rarer/juicier side, so communicate your preferred doneness upfront. Overall, a tasty meal with quality ingredients and a nice made-to-order feel. 5/5 stars and I'd definitely come back.
