VERY disappointing second visit to Kinaly Lao and Thai Eatery. totally different experience except that the server (a different one this time) was another good hire with next to no (if any) training. somebody in management needs to spend time getting the front of the house up to speed. ordered the LAO SAUSAGE. seriously overcooked and dry. compare the portion size in the restaurant posted photo on their Yelp page to mine. came up a bit short to be kind. the menu description (with my spelling corrections) says "served with ginger, red chilies, sticky rice, and tomato sauce." see any ginger? see any chilies? had to ask three times for the tomato sauce and when it finally arrived, did not compare favorably with the tomato sauce from our first visit in taste or texture. I'm from the less is better, light dressing school of salads but their LARB GAI was dry. no lime juice, no fish sauce, no palm sugar, just a little toasted rice powder. mint leaves (an essential flavor in Larb Gai) that litter the menu photo were conspicuously absent. you know how when rice paper wrapped FRESH SPRING ROLLS are made ahead and get gummy and chewy? how hard would it be to make them to order? sometimes a little effort goes a long way. the MASSAMAN CURRY with tofu was just okay. if every other dish we ate was better, I might have said it was good but they weren't even close. ps: the couple behind us was thoroughly confused by the jasmine rice that came with her curry and the sticky rice that came with his fried pork ribs. the hostess/server should be able to explain to farang customers that jasmine rice is a side (Central Thai dishes) and sticky rice (Northern Thai, Issan, and Lao dishes) is more of a utensil. read more

First time here and we'll definitely be back! Lots of items are marked gluten-free on the menu, including the spring rolls with peanut sauce, pad Thai and all curries. The stir fry and fried rice dishes are also available gluten-free and you can have them prepared in avocado oil for +$2. Portions were generous. The green curry (which can tend to be hit or miss for me), pad Thai and spring rolls were excellent, as was the service. Next time I'd try one of the duck specials - didn't see those until after ordering. read more

Upon arrival - it had this off sewage smell but we tried it anyways. Definitely recommend to air out the restaurant or find the cause of smell. The food was good. The beef noodle was packed with flavor and lots of meats which is totally my type of noodle soup. Would I come back again? Probably not but worth a shot! read more

The ambiance was so cute! The music was good (not too loud, not too crazy, not distracting) , it was very clean, and decorated with good taste. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and helped us order and told us about things on the menu. Our food was delicious! We started with the tom kha soup and our mains were spicy beef pad Thai and medium spice chicken pad Thai. They were all packed with flavor and we had enough for leftovers. Such a nice little spot! Clean, fun decor; friendly service; excellent food. My husband, our three kids, and I were the only ones in the restaurant for most of our meal on a Sunday night, but I hope that's not an indication as to how their business is doing. We ordered the massaman curry with chicken, fried pork, and eggplant. All of it was tasty and flavorful. I would definitely love to see how spicy they go on a visit without the kids. It pains me to write this review, but I was really disappointed with my meal. I waited an unusually long time for my order, only to be underwhelmed by what I received. I ordered one of the curries with shrimp, and to my dismay, I found myself fishing for the shrimp in a 24oz container of sauce that had maybe about ten small shrimp. Also they forgot to give me my peanut sauce with the fresh spring rolls, I would of gone back from some but the parking in this center is horrible While the food quality is generally good, it was clear from my experience last night that the restaurant is understaffed and overwhelmed, even with just a handful of diners inside and a few takeout orders. I honestly wanted to do people a favor and tell them to go elsewhere, as I knew they were in for a long wait for both food and service. That said, I want to acknowledge the incredible effort of the young woman working the register, waiting tables, bussing tables, taking phone orders, and ringing up customers--all with a smile on her face. At one point, I even saw her making fresh lemongrass. Kudos to her--if you're reading this, I hope you find a job at a restaurant where you'll have more support and probably earn more in tips. Each time I've been here, I've been greeted with the friendliest greeting and service! The place is modern and clean. I did a to go order! The food is always on point - new recommendation - any of the loa soups or dishes! Parking can be a bit challenging. Walkkng in the door there was an off outing smell that cleared tepidly. You get to pick 1 appetizer, 1 main dish, 1 side, and your choice of protein. We picked coconut shrimp as our appetizer Side salad as our side And pad Thai as our main dish. We spent 30 bucks on this lunch special... We took it to go. We got home excites for the coconut shrimp and there was only 1 shrimp!!!! If I would have known we were only going to get 1 shrimp, I would have ordered a different appetizer. Very deceiving. And I'm used to picking a spice level, there was no level of spice to choose from. Food was bland as well. Not much flavor. Service was good. Very nice and friendly. So I don't get the coconut shrimp on the lunch special because you will only get 1 shrimp! read more

I've been meaning to come here for some time but never in the area when craving Thai food. Finally!!! My first time was a to go order and I neglected to take pictures or do a Yelp posting. My bad. But let me tell you, it was delicious. Let's skip to our second visit. This time we decided to eat here. We went with pad thai and an order of potstickers. The pad thai was cooked perfect and tasty and there was a lot of food. The pot stickers were delicious. On our to go order, we had ordered spring rolls with shrimp. OMG!! Probably one of the best I've ever had. They were big and delicious. When you walk in, you notice the kitchen. So you can kinda see inside. I like that. There's a row of tables. Hard to explain, you just need to see it. Staff is very nice. The two times I've been there, it's not busy. I really hope it picks up. They quoted 10-15 minutes, but it actually took closer to 30 minutes. Food was actually pretty good! The crab fried rice is the best I've had in this area (temper your expectations though, there are many bad ones). Looking forward to trying other items. read more

Food (4/5 stars): I've been craving a Crying Tiger for awhile, so I'm glad we found a Thai place in our area that serves it. It's a beautiful dish and the meat was cooked to my liking. It wasn't as flavorful as I expected though, and I don't think the sauce paired well with the meat. The last Crying Tiger I had came with a more vinegary sauce, which I had hoped for. Next time, I probably wouldn't get this dish and try their curry instead! We did a pickup order for their Chicken Pad Thai and chicken pad see ew, and we really enjoyed it. The food was fresh and really flavorful! Unbelievably good. I'm a Thai food fanatic, and this is truly fantastic Thai. Nothing was overly greasy, and the rice noodles were clearly fresh and cooked to perfection. Drew, one of the owners, was incredibly helpful and recommended I try the Pad See Ew (medium) and the Yellow Curry (medium). Both were perfect. Honestly, the Pad See Ew was some of the best I've ever had. The shop was spotless and had a relaxed, chill vibe. I waited about 10 minutes while they cooked a fresh dinner for a family of four - totally worth it. WILL BE BACK. 10/10 would recommend. PS. The cream-cheese wontons? Stop it. UNREAL. Fantastic first experience, dismal second experience. Hope it's better next time. Our first order the food was excellent. We thought we had found our new go-to Thai / Lao spot. Flavors were on point, food was piping hot, service was good. We knew we had to come back. All in all a solid 9 out of 10. Second time we ordered Papaya salad spicy 9 out of 10. Came with zero spice. Had picked it up for take out and we were already home. Called and she asked if we wanted a credit. Said we would rather exchange it. Drove back up there and instead of preparing it fresh she took it in the back and added the spices and gave it back to us. Her demeanor didn't make me feel like she really cared that they had messed up our order nor was she particularly concerned about our food. Got home and tried the drunken noodles we had got. They were cold by now and had to reheat them. Definitely not the same flavor on the noodles or the salad and would give both a 5 out of 10 at best. Nothing special and not really worth coming back for, especially considering the service on this visit. We'll give it another try and hopefully the next visit will be back on track.
