I've been here a few years ago and it was really good. Wanted to give it another shot so ordered a pizza with garlic knots. We ordered the work pizza minus broccoli and added black olives. There was like 4 pieces of pepperoni, 3 pieces of sausage, and like 700 olives lol it was basically a cheese pizza with way too many olives. The garlic knots were good but needed to be cooked longer, in my opinion. The outside was golden but they tasted doughy on the inside. I was really disappointed and will not be returning here. This is my second time visiting this establishment. I needed to grab something quick and delicious for lunch. I was able to order online with a scheduled pickup. I didn't see the option for individual slices, so I opted for a personal sized pizza. It cost $10 with 2 items added on (mushroom and onion). First time customer. One of our favorite places in West Haven was closed Monday so we scrambled to find another. Ordered a Sicilian and a small gluten free. Total $38. Reasonably priced. Sauce and cheese were good. Sicilian was kinda small (plate sized), and the gluten free, labeled medium, was quite small. The gluten free person in ur family said the pizza was good. My folks order food from here every once in awhile when we go over there but I don't know why. It literally gets worse each time. This past experience was the last straw and I'm done with them. It's funny they list reliable delivery as one of their pluses because literally they are ALWAYS late and this last time the guy actually showed up over an hour past their quoted delivery time. We had to call and they told us he should be there any second and another half hour went by. Ridiculous. Anyway, the real travesty is the "food". The pizza resembles salty brine-soaked cardboard layered in grease. As a comparison, Dominoes is like 5 stars, and I loathe that joint too. We got some buffalo chicken "tenders" that were hard, tough, grease-soaked congealed balls that you couldn't even chew and basically the whole order of them was inedible. Also, got a salad that was average, and some garlic knots which fit their title and were pretty much garbage as well. "Hot Pockets" in my high nasal voice!!! We sat at the table trying to figure out what this pizza reminded us of and then *BAM* this tastes just like an open faced Hot Pocket!!! The Bacon pizza was very reminiscent of the pepperoni pizza Hot Pocket and made me question if it was even real bacon. The chicken veggie pizza tasted just like the chicken broccoli cheddar Lean Pockets, except that the 700° pizza had raw and some undercooked veggies. I don't want to bite into long strips of raw onion on my pizza. Also tried some apps before the pizza. The boneless wings were a no. I've had better from the grocery store freezer. Then also the mozzarella sticks and the zucchini sticks. One was overly salty and 1 had little to no flavor, but when I ate them together it created an oddly enjoyable balance. The Mug root beer was the best part of the meal. Cold and refreshing! The plus side is that this place is the only pizza place in the area that is open late and delivers. The food is edible but not the greatest. If you're visiting @a hotel and hungry this will do, But we weren't visiting, So we left with most of the pizza still uneaten on the table... Started to give 2 stars because I like Hot Pockets! But then I remembered there was a muslim/Indian family there dining in with kids. The wings are slightly below average. Not very crispy and generic tasting hot sauce. I would definitely pass on them in the future. The pizza was funny. It had like the Kraft cellophane wrapped American cheese singles thrown on it. It tasted just like it looked!! BAD!! Like are they serious?????? We came in for an early dinner. Place was clean & not busy, which was nice, we just wanted to sit down. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan Pizza. It was delivered to our table, VERY HOT within 15 mins. I think they were working on delivery orders. The pizza was ok, nothing to rave about by any means. We were hungry & tired, so it worked for the moment. The chicken pieces were very tiny & sparsely scattered over the pizza. Not much to say. Tried the sausage pizza with sweet and hot peppers and mushrooms, very, very good. Also tried the Garlic knots, Garlic and cheese bread, and chicken parmesan along with a cheese cake, all really great. Pizza was especially delicious. I believe this place is underrated. My job ordered pizza from this place a few days ago. I wasn't a fan, but my coworker wanted to try their salad. I was warned not to because if you don't like it their pizza, why give them the opportunity to mess up your salad..... I should have listened. So I ordered chicken wings and a sinful salad with my Gorgonzola on the side. They put the Gorgonzola in the salad and gave me extra on the side. I didn't like that, but I can get passed it. I added the dressing and then proceeded to eat my salad. After a few bites and shaking my salad up a bit, I notice there are OLIVES in my salad. Nowhere on the menu does it state that there are olives in the salad. Had I known, I wouldn't have ordered it. I call to get a refund because at this point I can't eat my salad. I'm itching (because I'm allergic to olives), while they did offer to fix it, I've lost my appetite and will never be ordering from there again. I placed a $75 order, and the food was greasy, oily, and had a nasty taste !! I called the store and spoke to the owner who had a nasty attitude like his food and told me he's not giving me a discount and he wasn't remaking my food because he's the owner and knows how to cook. I ordered at 5:15 pm. The 'food' finally arrived at 7 pm [1 hour, 45 minutes later], luke-warm at best, and an utter mess. The chicken soup with beef tortellini was so old and tired, that there wasn't a single pasta piece intact. It was simply a small cup of mush with unidentifiable flecks floating in it. At $6-, a great deal. The chicken parm calzone was missing a key component. . . the chicken. It was sparse, maybe 2 or 3 ounces worth. Ordered some pizzas while staying at a nearby hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The Chicken Parm pizza was loaded with chicken and you could tell the cheese was piled on and high quality. Was really good. Salads were pricey (as salads tend to be these days) but very full. Wrap was enjoyed and came with shoestring fries that didn't hold up great in delivery. 4-stars because it's not pizza you're going to run tell all your friends about, but an excellent choice for take-out or delivery for friends and family. This was the most disappointing food I have ever received. Almost 90 minutes for delivery and it seems the food was ready 60 minutes prior to when I received it. I can appreciate a busy night but they should do a better job and manage the orders or stop taking them if they get overwhelmed. We had to throw half of it out because it was cold and soggy. They should reconsider calamari as a menu item as the whole order was inedible. They should step up their game if they really want to compete in New Haven County pizza arena! read more
