If you're looking for an authentic and delightful Indian dining experience in Reno, look no further than 7 Spices Indian Restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with a warm ambiance and the inviting aromas of freshly cooked spices, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. The Atmosphere: The atmosphere at 7 Spices is a perfect blend of cozy and vibrant. The décor captures the essence of Indian culture without feeling overwhelming. It's a casual yet elegant space, perfect for both family dinners and intimate nights out. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, ready to offer recommendations based on your preferences. The Food: Now, let's talk about the food, because that's truly where this place shines. 7 Spices takes traditional Indian recipes and elevates them with the perfect balance of spices and flavors. Whether you're a fan of heat or prefer milder dishes, there's something for everyone. Appetizers: The Samosas are a must-try--crispy, golden, and filled with a savory spiced potato filling. Paired with their tangy mint chutney, it's the perfect start to your meal. Main Course: The Chicken Tikka Masala is, hands down, one of the best I've had--tender, juicy chicken in a rich, creamy sauce that's both comforting and bursting with flavor. If you're in the mood for something a bit more adventurous, the Lamb Rogan Josh has a deep, smoky flavor that truly showcases the complexity of Indian spices. Vegetarian Options: For vegetarians, the Paneer Tikka and Dal Makhani are exceptional choices. The paneer is grilled to perfection, and the dal is rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. Breads and Rice: No Indian meal is complete without naan and biryani, and 7 Spices delivers both flawlessly. Their garlic naan is soft and buttery, while the Hyderabadi Biryani has just the right amount of spice and fragrance, making it a crowd favorite. Dessert: Don't leave without trying the Gulab Jamun. These warm, syrup-soaked dough balls are the perfect sweet end to a flavorful meal. Service: The service at 7 Spices is top-notch. The staff is always smiling, and they make you feel like a guest in their home. They're also quick to accommodate any dietary requests, offering a selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Value: The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of ingredients shines through in every bite. Considering the quality of food and the level of service, 7 Spices offers great value for the price. Final Thoughts: In a city where Indian food can sometimes feel hit or miss, 7 Spices Indian Restaurant stands out as a true gem. Whether you're a longtime lover of Indian cuisine or a first-timer, this place offers a warm, flavorful experience that you'll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended for anyone in Reno looking to spice up their dining experience! read more

Fantastic Experience with Seven Spices Indian Cuisine - Delicious Food and Thoughtful Service! We recently placed a large catering order with Seven Spices Indian Cuisine, and they truly impressed us on every level. The food was absolutely delicious--rich in flavor, beautifully spiced, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish, from the appetizers to the curries and biryani, was a hit with our group. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service. After we submitted our initial order, Suresh, the owner, personally reached out to review it. He thoughtfully suggested that we had ordered more than we likely needed and helped us revise it to a more appropriate amount. His advice was spot on--we had plenty of food, and it led to real savings. That level of honesty and customer care is rare and incredibly appreciated. The delivery was prompt, the packaging was excellent, and everything arrived hot and ready to serve. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how flavorful the food was. If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine with exceptional service, Seven Spices Indian Cuisine is the place to go. Big thanks to Suresh and his team--we'll definitely be ordering again! read more

Saturday night, my family and I decided to check this place out. We walked in without a reservation and were seated right away since it wasn't too busy. We kicked things off with Chicken 65, masala dosa, and chicken noodles. The masala dosa and chicken noodles were a hit! The noodles were packed with chicken, eggs, and a variety of veggies. Chicken 65 was a bit on the bland side for our taste, but we should've asked for it spicier. The real star of the night? The dosa, hands down. It was incredible! For our main course, we treated ourselves to butter chicken, chicken tikka, bhindi masala, tandoori roti, and onion kulcha. Every dish was a delight. The onion kulcha and butter chicken quickly became everyone's favorite--absolutely delicious! Overall, the food was a solid 10/10. The service was a tad slow, but given that the restaurant had just opened, they were clearly still finding their rhythm. It didn't bother us at all. In fact, we enjoyed our dining experience and would definitely come back again. The welcoming atmosphere and delicious food more than made up for any minor delays. Can't wait to see how they grow and improve! read more

2/5 7 Spices has potential, but the experience was frustrating due to poor service and ambience issues. The restaurant was severely understaffed, with our waiter scrambling to clear tables because there was no busboy. As a result, our Diet Cokes took a long time to arrive. The atmosphere wasn't great either--the strong Pine-Sol smell in the dining area was overwhelming and took away from the experience. On top of that, the QR code menu didn't work, which felt like a weird choice when a simple physical menu would've been easier. Food-wise, the chicken tikka was very good, but it could use more chicken and less bell pepper. The naan was solid, and the rice was fine but nothing special. The mutter paneer had a strange plastic, burnt taste, but to their credit, they removed it from the bill when I asked. Overall, while some dishes were enjoyable, the slow service, strong chemical smell, non-functional QR menu, and inconsistent food quality make it hard to recommend. read more

My family and I attended a downtown Sparks event, when we decided to check out this new restaurant. The experience was incredibly positive. 1 Star - Very Disappointing Experience…read more Unfortunately, this was one of the worst Indian food experiences I've ever had. I really wanted to like this place, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Parking was difficult, and the restaurant itself wasn't particularly welcoming. The space is extremely large and felt more like a banquet hall than a cozy Indian restaurant. The service was good, and that's honestly the main reason I'm giving it one star. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The dishes were too watery, overly sweet, and heavily based on tomato purée, which completely overwhelmed the flavors. It was so disappointing that we couldn't even finish our food. To make matters worse, I asked for a glass of ice water and was told they didn't have ice because the ice machine would take about 15 minutes to make more. That was certainly an unexpected experience at a restaurant. I'm sorry for the harsh review, but I believe in being honest about my experience. Unfortunately, there just wasn't much about this visit that made me want to return. I do not recommend this place based on my experience.
