Absolutely delicious - my new favorite place in the Reno/Sparks area for Indian food! I've had take out from here a couple times it was great, though nothing beats eating inside the restaurant where you can enjoy everything while it is piping hot and fresh. Today I had the masala dosa and the lamb kadai. The dosa was huge (as you can see in the pictures); the crepe itself was light and crispy, and the masala filling hot and flavorful. The lamb kadai was packed with flavor and the meat was tender. The servers were kind and the atmosphere comfortable. Absolutely DELICIOUS! Moved here from sac two weeks ago. We had a go to spot there that we compare everything too. This place had amazing food. Ok first things first. Spicy mean's spicy. Extra spicy. Yeah just don't if you don't have the pallete. You will hurt. But god the spice hurt soooo good! To start off, the ambiance is a little vanilla for the "Indian" atmosphere but it can grow. The background music is definitely Bollywood. You can definitely smell the spices and food being cooked. To start, we had ordered the Chicken Noodles (pretty good, they can definitely develop a little more on this), Mirchi Bajji (gram flour battered jalapenos split in the middle and filled with red onions and cilantro - yes def spicy), Chicken 65 (marinated chicken pieces with curry leaves covered with red onions, lemons for citrus squeeze and cilantro chutney for dipping), and my star of the show, Lamb Pepper Masala (pieces of lamb in a HEAT driven curry sauce) with comped Basmati rice. Food really hits! As far as service goes, nothing like the owner coming up to you to ask about your day, if you have questions about the food, what your mood is so that food comes out to right to hit you in the feels. I didn't think it would happen, but I actually found a new favorite Indian restaurant amongst the absolute juggernauts we have in Reno.. 7 Spices has some of the most well-seasoned and fresh Indian food I've had in a long time. The flavors, spices and care put into each dish was so apparent, I could not stop talking about how good it was as we ate. The sauces and curries? Flavor nuke. The meat? Tender and moist. The veggies? Cooked to perfection. The naan? Fluffy, puffy and flavorful. You seriously can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their dosa is great and they have a ton of varieties that make a complete dish on its own. The service was great too, and we didn't realize we came in a bit before closing before dinner and they didn't rush us at all. The server held down the whole front on her own. The space is pretty large inside and has some nice decor here and there, but could use something to liven it up a bit! Highly recommend checking this spot out next time you want to walk around Scheels for fun or need a break from the chaos that is the Legends roundabout. read more

The service was sweet and attentive and we didn't have to wait long for anything, water was refilled without even having to ask, we were sat quickly and our order was taken with a perfect amount of time between ordering. Now to the food. The food was neat and sooo yummy. We had the shrimp 65 for appetizer and oh my god the flavor was explosive and the colors were gorgeous. Came for dinner with a group of 5. We were happy to see how busy it was, however there is a lack of staffing still... Our waitress was kind but taking orders for the entire restaurant is a lot. Service was slow understandably, but the food makes it worth it! We ordered the Chicken 65, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, Masala Dosa and Palak Paneer. The only thing was that we ordered one mild, one medium, and one that supposedly came medium - spicy, and I thought they were all pretty mild, so I would ask for more spice next time. The chicken tikka masala is top tier and I was surprised how good the goat curry is because I'm picky about my goat/lamb dishes. Tried this new Indian restaurant a few months ago and then we decided to give them another go both times we have been there the service has been great. Staff is super friendly and will make great recommendations. If you're unsure of what to get my standard go to is always butter chicken, and theirs does not disappoint. We also always order garlic naan and theirs is top-notch. We also ordered a onion stuffed naan which was great. It was a little on the spicy side, but it was still lovely. Amazing! The food was incredible and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. This restaurant just opened, so leaving 2 star reviews for waiting too long for a Diet Coke is a low blow. We were there on a Saturday night and it was busy. Our server was great and attentive. The chefs came out and delivered our dishes and genuinely seemed to care what we thought about the food. Everyone was very nice. But the star of the show was the food! We devoured everything we ordered. We started with the mix veg pakora, it was fried perfectly and the spices were delicious. The paneer dosa was so good, paper thin crepe with onions baked inside with 3 different dipping sauces. The main dishes came and the chicken tikka masala was the best i have ever had. It was creamy and delicious. The 7 spice special goat curry had such a complex flavor, very pleasant. The garlic naan was thin and crusty on the edges, the perfect addition to any curry. This was our first time at 7-Spices. The menues given to us were printed, used, stapled together and may not make it through the weekend. The food was good but the service was poor. My wife ordered the 7-Spices Dosa and she was pleased. I ordered Butter Naan Bread, Chicken Tikka Kabab and rice. All was ala carte. My wife's Dosa came out of the kitchen after waiting 20-30 minutes after ordering. Another 20-30 minutes later, my chicken came out. I had to remind them about my Bread and Rice. The Naan Bread should have come out first. My wife was happy with the food, but not the experience. The restaurant had fewer than 10 people dining, so it was not busy. When we walked out, the gentleman at the cash register said thank you. Right behind us were another couple that were seated at the bar. When asked by the gentleman at the front how everything was, the husband said wonderful but his lady said that she will not be back. As for me, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'll wait for 6 months before I give them another chance. read more

We're visiting from California and my mom wanted to try this place (she lives here) As soon as you walk in it smells so good! I ordered a few things for us to try that were mild in spice but also things my kids would like. We got the butter chicken, chicken Tikka masala, chicken coconut Korma, Aloo Gobi, Samosas and garlic Naan. The dishes came with basmati rice. Everything was pretty mild but the samosas and coconut korma had the most spice out of all the dishes. Still very good but my kids couldn't eat the samosas. We got unsweetened iced tea and water for drinks. Both very refreshing. The iced tea had a nice flavor! The only thing I would say to look out for is the floor! It was super slippery material.
