We were greeted with a warm smile and a basket of top notch garlic naan. We headed up to the buffet. It was the standard mix of rich sauces on a variety of vegetables, legumes, chicken or fish. The lunch buffet is a reasonable $17.99. The decor, upbeat videos and music, and flavors are all authentic and add to the experience. This is an OG in the growing Indian food scene in Reno. I can remember coming here before I had even heard of Yelp. (at least 20 years ago) Thank you and we wish India Kabab an abundance of success in 2026.

I tried their dine for two option and had their mango margarita. I loved the samosas and the buttered chicken (medium spice) ! Opted for their classic chicken masala (medium spice) and had plenty of leftovers to go after. Perfect for friends, family or a date night. I will come back to try their lunch buffet!

What a lovely time. I really enjoyed the naan and chicken. The mango lassi was amazing. I really appreciated the staff, they were so kind. They were very helpful. I will definitely be back!

Pro's: It's been awhile since I have been here...they renovated and it looks really good. Con's: Silly one, but would have been nice to have Indian music playing. Go back?: Absolutely More... Expecting some good chicken Tikka Masala and not, fresh Naan bread, my date suggests we go all-in on the Royal Feast for like $44 pp. Wow, was THAT fun! What a great price point to get to try so many new items, sauces, chutneys that I have never had. But there is something about dipping Naan bread in Tikka Masala sauce that is akin to cheese fondue...so crazy delicious! The Tandoori chicken was full of flavor and oh so tender. Everything was great...what a fun way to experience this restaurant and Indian cuisine. Service was great, too.

I really like India Kabab & Curry! Big menu with lots of meat + vegetarian options, nice décor, and super friendly staff. We had butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and rice. Butter chicken = fantastic--creamy, flavorful, medium spice had just the right kick. Tikka masala tasted good but the chicken was pretty dry. Garlic naan was crisp but all the garlic was clumped in the middle (wish it was spread out more). Mango lassi was DELICIOUS. Only downside: it was really quiet inside--some music would've made the vibe better. Overall: solid spot, not perfect, but I'll definitely be back.

I came here for lunch for the first time in years and it was perfect for a quick work lunch. The buffet was hot and fresh, the service was great and the price is an excellent value.

I forgot to review this place from the last time I was in Reno. I was commenting there weren't any buffets left in Reno except those Chinese buffets. My friend said there was this Indian buffet that was decent. Most Indian restaurants in CA offer a lunch buffet, but I think this is the only one in Reno anymore. India Kabab and Curry was easy to find with GPS, but you gotta know the parking is in the back, down a side alley. I know to get to any buffet at opening when the food is the freshest. Lunch buffet starts at 11am for $15.99 per person, which is about the same as that Chinese buffet. Inside is actually very elegant and nice. We sat at a booth and went directly up to the buffet. Service was quick and efficient at keep water filled and plates cleared. As with most Indian Buffets, naan bread is included, all you want. Garlic or plain are the choices. Up at the buffet line of food, they had my most fave Tandoori chicken and Tikka Masala. All the other choices looked a little mysterious to me, so I stuck with the tandoori chicken mostly. It was good to see the chicken pieces were thighs and drumsticks, no junk pieces like the back or rib cage. I had one buffet where they just had all the junk pieces at the buffet cause they were saving the good pieces for the ala carte entree's. OMG! My first bite into that tender theigh was wonderful. So moist and tender with that tandoori flavor. This was one of the best tandoori chicken I've ever had! We both ate our fill! I was surprised the restaurant at lunch wasn't more busy, but I like a quiet lunch! For $20 bucks each including tax and tip, it was well worth it. Next time I'm in town I'll come back here!

Indian Kebab and Curry recently hosted a dinner night for educators as a meaningful expression of appreciation for the community, and the experience was exceptional. The cuisine was of outstanding quality, each dish was thoughtfully prepared, richly flavored, and beautifully presented, reflecting a high level of culinary expertise. Equally impressive was the service; the staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating a warm and memorable dining atmosphere. This establishment has been a valued staple in the community for over 20 years, an achievement that speaks not only to its consistency but also to its commitment to excellence in both food and hospitality. Their generosity and dedication to the community are truly commendable. I highly recommend supporting this remarkable local business.

My wife and I had been desiring some Indian cuisine and we decided on mid-town. We arrived at about 11:25 and the timing was perfect for that particular Friday. Drink service was delivered immediately upon seating. We returned with full plates, and garlic pita was served to complement our selections. ( plain is also available) The decor is very nice and themed as an Indian Cafe. The food quality in my opinion deserves four stars, however, I discounted my score 1star due to a bathroom deficiency. The men's restroom had a stale odor and was not as clean as one would expect, as close to opening time as we arrived. All in all a very god buffet value.

This place has been right "under my nose" for years, and I had never tried it. Who knew I like Infian food? Food: So many delicious flavors. The sauteed mushrooms and onions were the first taste. Followed by a a bite of everything on the buffet line. Decor/dining environment: Quiet! A pleasant experience for sure, especially for a single diner. Staff: Super friendly and helpful. Explsined each entree to me and the best way to taste/eat it. Price: $15.99 lunch buffet I'm excited to earn the Online Order Discount to enjoy this after a looooong day driving up and down S Virginia Street.

I've been wanting to stop by this place forever! Came by today and it was very good. We did their lunch buffet - they have a lot of options and they're all hot and fresh. They bring you either garlic or regular naan which was good too! The environment is super cute and welcoming, it was overall very good and we will definitely be back. :)

I arrived at 1140. There were maybe six customers in front of me. It took 25 minutes to get seated. There had only one person checking in guests. There were 3-5 hosts waiting to get guests to their tables (I have never seen this before). Okay, let's get to the food. Birria dry and not much taste. Spanish rice was wet. Steamed clams were awful; the liquid was oily and smelled fishy. Ma Po tofu was cold and tasteless. Boiled shrimp were tiny. Orange (?) chicken was a little tough and did not have a lot of flavor. Pho was insipid. (Chinese) beef and mushroom was not tasty The only things up to the prior standard were the Smoked trout Sautéed cod Sesame ball Deserts were as expected. Service by Delphina was excellent as always. Even with 'the Monday locals discount,' the bill came to $82 for two, less tip. Given the drop in food quality, it is overpriced. I have eaten lunch at Golden Corral (in Maryland) where the food was more satisfying and cost 40% less. I won't be bringing my Reno guests here any more. So after many years of 5-star ratings, today, they get a 3-star rating.

Well here at the J casino I can assure you that even though this buffet doesn't look like much at first glance it packs a powerful wallop. There is no skipping the line, even if you are a higher tiered member. I actually like that because I find it to be fair. Just the way the good lord intended we eat at places of convenience. Luckily the line wasn't too long and the person behind the register was swift. Next our server was great! Her name was Janet and she also works as a nurse practitioner for elderly people, and you would think that would make her slower or perhaps a little too exhausted to keep at it, but to our surprise she was beyond helpful and the service was excellent. The buffet has crab legs, mini pizzas, salads, pastas, and desserts there's plenty of variety and lots of friendly faces to assist you if you should need anything. It is nice that the buffet participates in the GSR locals discount program which makes it priced a little more reasonably for what you get, but it is still hard to get full value. The selection is decent, the carving station gives generous portions if requested, the pizza is good for a buffet, the fries are crispy and have flavor, and the sweets, pies, and gelato are actually better than average. The American booth such as pot roast and mashed potatoes with gravy is a little subpar and taste a little cheap. I think the best food there are the Asian dishes and the fried rice, overall. The negatives are that everything isn't the freshest or the best quality, some things are more or less. The food tastes sometimes stale or of lower quality. A bad example is that when I approached the dinner rolls, there were a couple of small gnat flies on a couple pieces of bread, when I shook the basket to shoo them away about a cloud of 25 gnats flew off and then promptly rested back on the bread... So don't eat the bread, lol. I have to admit, there are much better places and buffets in Reno and I would only go here if I am taking a Staycation at the GSR or if a family gathering requested it, but there are worse places and you dictate your own experience.

The overall quality varies but they do usually have snow crab legs at dinner regularly, which is the main reason we would choose this buffet. (Atlantis only does crab on the higher priced weekends). They had cold Jonah claws, snow and Dungeness clusters, mini crab cakes, and crab soup. They also advertised King crab but what they had was just the skinny tips which you were given a ticket for one plate. Not worth the price paid, but the cold crab was good quality. I would say thier higher priced special nights just aren't worth it, but the regular weekday with locals discount is decent. Prices are high as expected in this type of setting. But if you have deep pockets and a seafood craving it should fit the bill. Most if my experience is eating the AYCE sushi here. Yes it's about $12 more per person that if you want to AYCE outside the hotel, but the local's 20% discount evens it up. Selection is more limited than most AYCE menu's. Probably the most limited in Reno based on my experience. They don't have things like scallop, unagi, surf clam nigiri. Mussels only available as nigiri sushi not as an appetizer. Etc. Roll menu is decent, you will find something you like if you are into rolls. They are HUGE, so recommend ordering a half long roll when possible. They also have a selection of hand rolls. We got the Salmon Skin Hand Roll which was pretty mediocre as the salmon skin was overcooked, very dry and crunchy like it was a bit burnt. Fish quality it typically on par with the average AYCE place in Reno but overall a half step down from one of the most popular AYCE places just a few blocks North (Tokyo sushi) which is a madhouse during prime hours with long waits so if you can get seated quickly here the convenience of it being in the hotel may be the better choice especially if you want a nicer, special ocassion atmostphere. Service at the bar was not very good this time around. Waited 20 min for them to come get our card to pay. But generally at the bar, because you can order directly from the chef, the server doesn't have to come very often except to get dessert order or drink order. If they had a wider selection on the AYCE sushi menu and some of the texture of the fish (Salmon) was more firm and less mushy, it could be a 5-star experience.

The ayce setup still gives you a lot on each dish and you risk over ordering and get the dreaded wasted food surcharge. Until they set their prices to a steal I would visit this place cautiously or it will drain your weekly dining budget quickly. Staff still is friendly like always and the place is always good to bring a big group but I wish they would make it "local" friendly on the pocket. If they perhaps gave smaller dishes each time you order beef you could order more variety but it limits you because one plate of beef is good to feed some people a full meal. That then defeats the purpose of ayce. A la carte items is also priced so high you cant get more than one dish for each person to get variety. To sum it up, they've rigged it to have each person spend at least 40 to 50 dollars to have a reasonably enjoyable experience here trying their many good items.

I was told by my friend the special was the way to go, she wasn't wrong. The special had a filet which I asked for medium rare and it came as ordered, the veggie was green beans with a little red bell, I devoured the vegetables first because I always eat the best first. The filet which I never order was very good, I guess since I'm not a frequent orderer of dead cow, the mash was good and so was the shrimp which was accompanied with a very nice sauce. This was a very nice restaurant which I never would have imagined at boomtown. The prices were not too terrible and the food was great but the waiter was terrific.

I came here during the holiday, Mother's Day, which had an influx of guests at the restaurant. The server throughout my dining experience was Tori. She was recently hired as a new server and wasn't too knowledgeable about the menu as of yet. With that being said, I desired to show patience and grace since she was still in the training stage. I proceeded to order the following items for dinner: * Oysters on the Half Shell (6) * Lobster Bisque Bowl * $29 Special - Filet Mignon & Jumbo Shrimp with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes The entire occurrence presented as quite interesting, to say the least. I first received the oysters. It had arrived with an empty serving vessel, which was supposed to be filled with the mignonette sauce. Tori quickly fixed this mistake. The oysters met expectations in terms of freshness and quality. They were very delicious with the mignonette sauce, cocktail sauce, and lemon juice. Then, I received the Lobster Tomato Bisque. The soup was lacking in flavor and needed help in the seasoning department. I grabbed the peppercorn grinder, which was readily available at the table. Upon twisting the grinder, a lot of peppercorns fell into the soup unfortunately. I kindly requested that Tori replace the soup. A nearby table had the same situation, where an individual had a bunch of pink salt spill over the baked potato dish. Tori was also their server. I noticed that Tori pointed at me and mentioned to the party that I did the same action. When making that observation, I was quite embarrassed. I understood that Tori was trying to make the other table feel better but the finger-pointing provided a slightly unpleasant feeling to me. I finally received the Filet Mignon & Jumbo Shrimp with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes as the entree. However, it took a total of 1.5 hours to arrive at the table. It was quite long and a little frustrating, especially since I've noticed that a couple of parties that seated after me ordered the same meal deal and their food arrived before mine. The steak and shrimp were delectable. The green beans were bland (used butter, pepper + salt) and the mashed potatoes were decent in flavor. All in all, the evening at Boomtown Steakhouse was underwhelming. From the food taking a while to come out, sitting down at a wobbly table, the soup tasting bland, and the overall hospitality from Tori, the experience left some room to be desired. At the end, I truly appreciated the complimentary chocolate mousse dessert. This offering made up slightly for everything that had transpired. I don't recommend visiting this restaurant on a holiday, including Mother's Day. When I decide to return here, it will be on a regular weekday.

We got to choose between staying on the 3rd floor (spa/gym floor) or a higher floor, and we chose for the higher floor which had a decent view. The casino seemed older than others we been to, but it seemed the hotel portion was updated. There were several elevators we could use, and it was nice that it was a clear glass elevator so you could see out. We did not hang out at the casino, but it also seems a bit older. You can definitely smell the smoke in here. We only tried the Purple Parrot for dining and it was solid. There seemed to be a seafood restaurant and it smelled quite fishy in that area. They have an arcade on the second floor for kids. We ended up finding several machines that were broken so we got some free play out of it, which was fun. The arcade seems to be open 24/7 but redeeming rewards may be during limited hours. The spa was great! The gym area was also pretty good as well, many machines to use. They also have yoga mats to use, but my only critique is there is not much space to lay your yoga mat in without feeling like you're in someone's way. However, the gym was not very busy at all in the morning time when I went. In the gym, they had a water refill station, towels, and fruit offered. Remember to bring your hotel card because they will ask that it's scanned at the entrance. Service was friendly at the front desk at check in and check out. We also requested some more makeup wipes from the house staff and they provided extra with no questions asked. Overall, it was a solid experience staying at Atlantis!

My cousins picked this location because they are members of a group who used this chain of hotels and casinos often. I personally am not attracted to gambling , so I don't frequent this type of hotel. As I said the rooms were nice, but this hotel caters to the gambling crowd. My cousins got their rooms on comp, because they gamble here so often and that is great, but if you are not a heavy gambler and you are not getting a free room I cannot recommend the Atlantis.
