It reminded us of that episode of Dexter where he's helping a friend who is dying and she wants to find the best key lime pie. That was kind of the energy we had going into it, just looking for the experience. I also picked up some white chocolate covered cherries but we haven't gotten to those yet. The lady taking our order was very patient, and carefully packaged everything up securely for the drive home. We ordered white rice, black beans, boiled yuca with mojo sauce, and sweet plantains, and everything was delicious. The rice had more flavor than your typical white rice, the beans and yuca were seasoned perfectly, and the plantains were just bliss. Although we were hungry we still had leftovers for the following day, and after tip the total was $23. For affordable, authentic, delicious Cuban food you can't go much more right than Sunrise.
