Experience was bad customer service and this store at 9716 Campo Rd Spring Valley, CA 91977 United States refusing to use the system and blame the customer for using scan pay. Cashier became hostile because I used the system and started to tell me we don't accept and we have signs everywhere and by signs he means shitty made up hand written signs. I've been coming to this 7-Eleven since I was a child. This location is privately owned and it shows. Customer service has always been a priority of this location. The employees always greet you and are very polite at the register. The store is always clean and well maintained. As a child, I bought countless big gulps and slurp-pees here, not to mention the endless Doritos bags and candy bars. Now a days, I stop by on my visits to my mother's house for an occasional lotto quick pick, but I am still welcomed and treated well! read more

Came in yesterday to grab an adult beverage before hanging with family all afternoon (ya get me? It was thanksgiving). The lady behind the counter was so sweet. I didn't catch her name. I was in around 1245-1:00p. She connected with everyone who walked in the door. There was a group of four that was quickly helped in front of me and she said hello and connected with everyone. She took care of me quickly and asked my plans for the afternoon. It was raining outside and she even wished me a safe travel down the way. She was such a sweet lady. Wished I had her name to give a proper shout out. Definitely worth a stop in to this location. read more

Julio is a disrespectful rude pig. He gave the wrong change to my child and his co-worker. When I questioned him, he got defensive and argumentative. I became angry and started yelling and cursing. He mirrored my behavior yelling and cursing at me. He then began provoking me saying "bye!", waiving his hand in my face, "come back tomorrow and talk to the owner if you have a problem with my customer service" as if it is acceptable behavior. I will be there tomorrow morning and I hope there will be a serious consequence to his horrible customer service. read more

My local big gulp and beer spot . This location has the best staff of any 711 in the area and it has a good selection of munchies . The reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because the owner is very rude to the employees in front of customers and I don't appreciate that . This location is a few blocks from my house and I by big gulps 4-7 times a week and beers every weekend . If the owner would chill out a bit this place would be 5 star worthy . read more

This 7-11 is my favorite! The staff is so friendly and easy going. They always have a great variety of items with their perishables always fresh! The reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars, is the manager/owner is very mean to her staff, she is blatant with it and I have witnessed it several times. Another negative (only for me because I seem to be one of the very few who likes it), but they don't have Barqs root beer in bottles or on tap. We get big gulps literally EVERY day at this location and I always get diet coke with lemon. It would be nice to have a root beer choice, preferably Barqs. Nonetheless, the staff, again is amazing. All of them. It's always nice to go in and chat with my 'friends' here and see what they are up to. read more

I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!! Now that I have your attention. Earlier today I was in the 7-eleven purchasing water and some gum. As I'm wrapping up the transaction and walking out the cashier is speaking to 3 children (obviously walking together on their way home from school, I would say in the range of 10 years old). She tells them to leave all of their bags (backpacks) at the door, and to take off their jackets/hoodies and leave them at the door as well. This is unacceptable! First, let's mention the fact that you shouldn't be relieving children of their belongings, Especially their clothes! Second, how about the psychological damage that you're causing these children by automatically sending signals that you think they're going to steal. The kids seemed obviously stunned and hassled by this, even noting stuff like "we're not trying to steal?!" and "it's cause you look ghetto" (one kid said to the other kid). What is the point in negatively reinforcing this behavior, even though nothing has been committed, obviously sending the message that no matter what these kids do they're already in trouble just for being kids. I don't have kids, but I would definitely be looking at legal action if you're having my child take off pieces of clothing to enter your store. I'll leave this by saying, okay what if there is a small chance that a child will steal something like a candy bar or a snack (what is that like $2 max?), well due to this behavior this adult, with a job, whom potentially will purchase drinks, snacks, sweets, beer, gum, anything else my heart desires, and lives in the area will never be shopping here again. Luckily you made sure these kids have a rough time just trying to enter your store. Edit: Forgot to mention the part where the lady working there is smiling as if this is some joke to treat children this way, it must be because this is something she commonly does and takes enjoyment in it. read more

I used to go out of my way to go there for coffee in the morning because the people were so awesome and the coffee bar was always clean and very well stocked. I went a month or so ago and found that things had changed. Coffee pots were empty, coffee extras were gone and different staff. Thought it might have just been a one time thing. I went again today and it was even worse. I noticed the coffee extras were lacking but added a couple shots in a cup and went to get a cup anyway. The hot chocolate machine was out as was the Brazilian coffee with 3 people in line a a cashier that looked lost. I put my cup down and left, never to return. read more

This 7-11 use to feel like your neighborhood store the friendly cashiers and the owner always greeting you with a smile. The 7-11 was sold last year to someone else and has been going downhill ever since. Cashiers that were left from the old owner are still friendly and helpful any new hires by the new owner are not friendly and never smile. I stop by every morning for a cup of coffee and half the time the pots are empty. Today for example; I had to try 4 different pots before I found one with coffee in them. The clerk was there alone and that may have been the problem, no one to help him. I had to take coffee didn't particularly like just to have a cup. The place is not nearly as clean as it was with the old owner. Soda area is always messy and sticky and the overall appearance of the store is not clean. I have not seen new owner of the store since the first week or I would complain directly to him. The Owners brother works some of the time and is extremely friendly. I hate to change 7-11's because this is on my way to work but if they don't have the product I want "Coffee" why would I stop? Indeed the new owner needs to make some improvements. read more
