A busy 7-11 location for sure. On the corner of Madison and Chambers smack in the middle of a bunch of high-density housing. It is really the only store conveniently located for the nearby residents. It is near my place of employment, but I have only stopped in a few times. Staff is always friendly. The store has been clean the few times that I've been in. There can be some shady looking characters loitering around. Homeless seem to gravitate towards it too. El Cajon PD seems to make their presence known though. It is always busy when I drive by on my way to work in the morning. They probably have good coffee! No gas at this location. read more

Extremely rude on numerous occasions since she started at this location a couple months ago. Today she said something like, "what'd you put in that box." Which i didn't hear as her talking to me as I was turned around at the chilled items for sale and I had picked up a single string cheese and was considering additional products. Some guy at the checkout in front of her took that to mean I was stealing things and he literally almost initiated combat with me, thanks to her mistaken snippy usual idek what to call it attitude. It was quickly clarified that I had not taken anything as it was still in my hand. Of course nothing even resembling an apology from her. Though the man did apologize. I continue in line to pay for the 59 cent fountain drink, string cheese and "perfect" bar I selected. Upon my turn she asked if my drink was a slurpee, to which i replied that it was a fountain drink. She said it looks like a slurpee. To which i removed the lid and showed she was once again completely unfounded in her accusations (let alone that I have been coming regularly for 3+ years and the management is well aware that I don't take things that don't belong to me). She continued with her abhorrent attitude, which unfortunately, along with her foul mouth, is her modus operandi (M/O), saying, and I quote verbatim, "Do me a favor and don't come in my store again tonight, I don't got patience for mother******s like you". At that point there were 3 people in line behind me who all witnessed this behavior. To owner, Bic: I sincerely hope you pull the video/audio of tonight's interaction as well as literally any night she has ever 'worked', and you will see just what kind of person you have willingly employed. Don't take my word for it, I don't expect you to. That's why you have the cameras. I'm just here to give you the timestamp to review: 10:43PM May 31st 2026. (Exactly, I checked the receipt for the withdrawal I made.) This is merely a single very poor experience I have had here. Unfortunately it was one of MANY, which I've gone to the lengths of my patience to tolerate as I live half a block away and the alternatives are non-existant at night. To document them all would be a giant book that would be unenjoyable to read or be written, so I only leave this most recent one, surely my last. I'll vote with my significant expenditures on a more fit business going forward. Service, terrible. Selection, I asked for almond milk he (Bic, owner of this 711 where this took place, on Madison Ave and Chambers St. in El Cajon California, 92020) said he would order it. I followed up numerous times. It never happened. Price, standard 711 convenience store prices. Also I alerted him previously to this employee's abysmal behavior, how she was representing his business - and he reviewed the footage and apologized saying he would speak with her. I eagerly await the results of his notification this time. Will he make excuses for her behavior this time? Or will he find another late night staff member with an appropriate attitude this time? Either way I'll observe from afar, my money has begun flowing in alternate directions. read more

Lady working there could try not yelling and swearing at people for getting condiments out of the cabinet, set of my wife's PTSD and yelled the term for a female dog in front of a bunch of random children (none mine) maybe a "condiments available at register" sign or cabinet lock would prevent customers trying to restock things while your employees are busy, It's not my fault your store does things differently from every other 7-11 in a 5 mile radius we won't be coming back I'd rather drive across town than interact with someone probably overdue for a drug test again, the store also wasn't very clean by 7-11 standards but you did have 4 hotdogs ready after trying two other locations so we did buy two, had I not been yelled at for attempting to be helpful we'd have probably bought more things, coffee wasn't ready when it is supposed to be refreshed every 2 hours, shouting across the store and then threatening to scream at us when told shouting isn't necessary is unacceptable in any business, she probably isn't being paid enough to work for you but that's not an excuse to be a nightmare to customers who where actually trying to help you read more

I'm here at last 3/week, employees are all pretty friendly. Night time is a little different but still good employees for sure. Store is always clean and well kept! Machines are always filled and food is always hot to order and will make your hot food on the spot if you ask. This is definitely a go to spot for me. read more

Today I went to (7 11 )I was shopping and I have a (small puppy with me 1 year and 2 months old service dog) there was a lesh and she was walking with me and she barked 3 times only and the manger of store came to me and said you are not allowed to have a dog inside the store and he quit me out bc of dog's bark and my dog got scared and I have my paper that approved my uppy is a serving dog bc he was yelling at me my dog got scared and afraid of that rude attitude read more

This store is one of the better 7-11's Iv been to the staff are friendly. They consistently keep there food up to date. The owner is a very cool guy. I mean the 7-11 itself is 5 out of 5 The only down part are some of the people in that area. I lived next to this 7-11 for a long time and have seen a lot of things. The staff here are horrible. The only reason I come to this particular location is the fact that it's so close to my work and need some cheap coffee. The first time I saw the manager/owner.. I was selecting which coffee cake I wanted and he was watching me on the monitors behind the desk as well as watching me from behind the register. The 2nd time, I was taking a picture of the front of the building and the entire staff that worked there was watching me as if I was going to rob the place. I understand the area is ghetto, and people in the area are probably thieves, but treat your customers with respect. read more

Busy store, especially at school season since it is near to school. Can be reached by public bus no. 864. It is not located to big road, but busy madison and chamber street, in the corner. Across to a dentist. When you are visiting in the night, just always take care of yourself whenever outside the store. Just a good reminder for you especially if you are by yourself/alone. This reminder is not related to the store nor employees at all. The employees are good. Manager is very helpful. Store just like other 7-11 stores, convenient. If customers having problem with the item, or coupon, the manager is frequently seen there to help, so it is helpful enough. read more

I don't believe the bad and horrible experience I got with my seven years old son in this place. I took my son inside the store as he wanted to use the bathroom and buy a slush. I went to the back of the store where the bathroom usually is. Then the owner, an Indian guy (Typically with an H-1 visa), came to me yelling and waving his hands in my face, "Where you going." I told him my son needed to use the bathroom, and he literally said to me, "I don't care even if your son is dead" he tried to hit me. Then the store owner and his wife (an Indian lady as well) started to push us out of the star and called us me and my seven years old the (F) words. I never got humiliated and harassed in my life like this before, and right in front of a kid, his age is just seven years old. Please, neighbors, be careful and don't send your kids alone to this store. This guy, the Indian owner, and his wife will do anything bad to their customers, and they don't care, even if they are dealing with a kid. read more

They need to train their employees better on customer service and be on training on how to use manufacturer's coupons in either ring them up or have the ability to make a decision for themselves in order to honor it and not have a customer come back 4 hours later 3 hours later when they said manager gets in these are basic responsibilities and every convenience store works with the manufacturers that send out these manufacturer coupons so we're in a customer comes in and wants to say get a pack of cigarettes cuz they have a manufacturer's coupon from the American Spirit and the employee says they don't feel comfortable therefore implying that the customer either made it or it's illegal or some type of fraudulent one I mean that's ridiculous so more training needs to be done and better customer service skills acquired instead of just hiring any Joe blow off the street and again making basic decisions that aren't rocket science without the help of a manager holding hands would be ideal as well especially during the knock shift hours read more

Store numbers- 21834 / 35674 I go into the store locations mostly everyday, one on Magnolia(#21834) and one on Washington (#35674), I want to say that I've received on a continual near daily visits to both these store locations, excellent service each time I'm there! I feel fully comfortable there and both the stores are very clean, the staff are very respectful. Lester, from the Washington (#35674) location, is very appropriate and talks with me like I'm a good friend, and I feel allot of comfort with him respecting me the way he always does. The location on Magnolia (#21834) there are always very nice respectful ladies I see, that greet me every time I walk in their store and also talks and respects me like I'm a friend. Especially the three ladies that work there, I had their name written down but I lost the paper, because I wanted to give them special praise. Everyone there has exceptional customer Service EXCEPT! For a New Hire Im not sure of her name I think it's vanessa. The only younger Mexican girl there. She has a Major Attitude problem for seeing me almost every day. I am a resident only down the street. But it's her customer service that Drives me almost 5 blocks away to a different 7-11 or the Liquor Store. I dont know and didn't do anything but buy stuff. She doesnt talk doesnt say anything wont even look me in my eyes? Weird for a 7-11.
