Not gonna lie, I used to go to 7/11 which is about a block away from Happy's. Every other day I would go after work or when there was sports game I wanted to chill and watch. I used to think 7/11 had no competition until I decided to go to Happy's. Hell, it was closer anyway and parking wasn't bad. This liquor store can support many habits with the selections they have. Happy's Market carries wine, IPA's, cheap beer (Cobra or Bud Ice), import and domestic beer. Sadly, no hard liquor. You buy booze and munchies and you're on your way out. If you're a smoker they have stuff for your too buddy, they'll support your habits also, win win right? I no longer have to ask or think about driving to get another round of drinks. I'll make that walk with my dog and yes he'll let me come in with her to get my drinks. The employees are always chill and the price deals they have are the only competition for 7/11. I don't care for kiosks one bit, as I prefer face-to-face interaction when placing orders anywhere. My displeasure must have been obvious, as the female employee at the counter advised me that she could take my order. When she offered, I immediately replied, "YES, thank you!" The employee was very polite, friendly, and helpful, which I appreciated. I ordered my favorite smoothie (PB Banana Protein Smoothie), while my wife had a PB Chocolate Love Smoothie (only available upon request). Our smoothies were made in less than four minutes and were DELICIOUS and perfectly prepared. The shop was clean and well-maintained. Parking is available in the large, private parking lot.

Also I seen the guy behind the counter say the same thing to another lady as she ordered food too. This was my first experience here and it wasn't great. The guy at the store didn't even offer a store credit he just mentioned after I said asked for a refund for the food I wasn't going to be given he said the store credit the food back to my card in 5 days. Ok thank you but I don't think he understood the inconvenience it is to charge people for food knowing that you can't even serve them their food order. At least my drink was good

While sitting in traffic, I went to Yelp on my phone and I typed in, "ice cream near me" (where else would I search, right?) I was elated to discover that I was three minutes away from a Baskin Robbins ice cream shop. I exited the freeway and drove the one mile only to discover that I had driven by this area hundreds of times and never realized that there was Baskin Robbins in Baldwin Park. I entered the small, clean and well organized shop. I was immediately greeted by two young, female employees, "good morning. Welcome to Baskin Robbins". Is it just me or does hearing a nice greeting from employees of any business always make you feel appreciated? I LOVE ice cream and always go for the "no sugar added" flavors which most locations only offer one such flavor, "Coconut/pineapple". This location not only had this same flavor big they also offered a SECOND, "no sugar added" flavor, "Caramel Turtle Truffle". WHAT!!! Of course, I requested one of each of the above flavors in a come and one spoonful of either flavor and I was happy as a kid in an ice cream shop. Both flavors were delicious and the portion sizes were more than enough for me. Service here was GREAT from the two young female employees who were both very friendly, and welcoming. I'll elaborate, their is currently a special incentive going on with EBT recipients and the Mother's Nutrition. These deals are great!! They help family's stretch that dollar and insure the security of having fresh food available. It's a wonderful program. Unfortunately theirs been some terrible outcome because of it. The store is ALWAYS busy and it's never that calm, quick and easy service as is expected when going to a Mother's Nutrition. I literally have to mentally prep my self to go to the store because its overwhelming dealing with the other customers. They have been so rude, disrespectful & careless. I've had to experience smokers upon my arrival, stand right by my vehicle while I get my son off just smoking like its their right, it was never like that before. Until this program began and from what I gather it's the men related to the people shopping in the store. Whoever they are they should know better than to smoke by a store that is highly noted as a Expecting Mother's and infants shopping establishment. The employees try to regulate these people's behaviors as best they can but they can only do so much. Something needs to be done. Im a LONG time shopper. Ive been shopping here for the past 5yrs with my son and the past couple of years since this incentive began it's been awful. I called and spoke with Kathy and Sam from corporate a week ago, and they told me that they've done their absolute best but I'm writing today because I was just at the store yesterday and what I witnessed inspired a few solutions. Kathy I thank you for your time the other day, you did spend ALOT of time on the phone with me and heard me out. That is appreciated, greatly. The team/staff of this store needs to be praised and Congratulated for ALL THEIR EFFORTS. I understand like you said Kathy, they are employees and they have a job to do but at the end of the day they are just human and have limits. So I continue to note how they ALL just keep preserving and keeping up a pleasant demeanor. The shoppers that come in for the incentive majority of the time don't speak English or put on a act like they don't speak English, they challenge your employees every moment they can, they have no respect for staff or other shoppers. If they see WIC shoppers being shown preference they want to argue and cause stress and unnecessary problems. We lost the resource of the pickup service because these non wic shoppers abused it, and overwhelmed the staff with orders. They not only over ran the store but they overwhelmed the pick up service. Being a single mother with multiple disabilities & having a child with autism that pick up service was a God send. Kathy you need to go to the store and experience the disruption first hand. It's not fair to the staff to have deal with everything these non wic shoppers bring. First suggestion is, get a parking attendant out there before these people cause more grief out in the parking lot and accidents. Second suggestion get security that monitors the door and the store front so no one is smoking outside. Third suggestion, since we can't limit the hours on non wic members shopping how about we have someone serve them fruit samples or water while they wait in line. Fourth suggestion keep wic members priority(I do see this implemented at my store just wanted to keep it in the suggestions) Fifth suggestion make it clear to the non wic shoppers that they do not receive the same preferences as wic members. Make cards for them or get a translator that can communicate with them because most if not all want to act like they can't speak English. Lastly I suggest you give the team/staff members at Mother's Nutrition El Monte an Award for giving 110% of themselves to keep their Wic shoppers happy and cared for, putting their safety on the line to protect your WIC shoppers. Kathy this team/staff the store itself is well stocked they are doing their best every day but they really need to be acknowledged for their efforts. Don't get on them for not being able to control the behaviors of others that's not in their job title. I keep going back because I'm loyal to that team, I see what they've got to endure and I am so proud of them. So I keep bracing the struggle and discomfort because no matter what they always make me and my son feel welcomed and safe. My son loves the store and I do too it's less than a few minutes from my house. We've been going their for 5rys now. I really don't want to stop but the non wic shoppers are just relentless and they make things so much harder Please don't be harder on the staff help them out in any way that shows gratitude and real support. Bring back the pick up service for wic members only, it's not fair to us mother's. Your stores started out being a safe and easy place FOR MOTHERS to shop.

It was long, no thanks, we just parked and pickup at the window. Could be tricky though, it's pretty small and they look like exclusive drive thru location so your entrance could be blocked. Until today, I have had extremely positive experiences at all of the Grocery Outlets that I have…read morefrequented. This evening, I went to buy some frozen pizzas at this particular Grocery Outlet as there is this particular brand that my kids like (Amy's Spinach Pizza) and they just so happened to carry them. When checking out at the register, I noticed that they rang up for higher than I had recalled. Just to be sure that I wasn't looking at an incorrect price tag, I went back to the aisle to confirm. Indeed, it was $7.99 each rather than the $8.99 that it was rang up as. I then proceeded to go back to the person that helped me checkout and he called the shift manager, who told him that they could only honor one at that posted price rather than all 3 that I wanted to purchase. This seemed very odd as I've never run into any issues with any other grocery stores honoring a posted price, so I requested to speak with the shift manager. When the shift manager came up, she was rude and adamant that this was company policy that they could only honor one at the posted price. Her colleague that was helping her stock shelves jumped in to tell me "We don't even have to honor this price, but we're doing you a favor by giving you one at that amount." I replied back and asked a very logical question - Are you telling me that you don't have to honor the prices that you post for the products that you are selling? This is the exact definition of FALSE ADVERTISING! If the Store and/or Corporate Management is actually reading this review, I highly suggest that you train your employees and leadership team to 1) have better customer service skills when addressing dissatisfied consumers especially when it is their fault, 2) change your policies when customers call you out for incorrectly posted prices, and 3) have a better point of sale system that allows you to provide product credits without your employees needing to go hunt down an alternative product that is at the correct price simply to get the system to give the credit. Not only was this extremely aggravating experience a waste of my time this evening, but I sure hope this review helps others shopping at this specific Grocery Outlet. SHOP HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! They are literal scam artists as they will NOT honor posted prices and try to squeeze literally $1 at a time from hard working shoppers that are trying to make ends meet!
