Needed to fill gas this morning before work so stopped by 7-11 Kahaluu . Located across the Hygenic Store in Kahaluu. Gas is cheap there considering all other places averaging $3.27 per gal. At this location $3.09 reg. I know Costco is still the cheapest but sometimes you just need to go the convenience way lol. Been going here since I was a kid and oh man has this gone down. It's a mess, highly unsanitary and never stocked. The floors feel like a sh*tty rave club, the freezers look like mice live at the bottom and the milkshake machine has crusty milk all over it. It's been like this every time I've gone in there. This store may be the worst on island, even worse than the one where the clerk got his hand chopped off. read more

FOOD: There was a huge variety of food you wouldn't find at a 7-11 back home. They had dumplings (siu mai), pacit with chicken adobo, musubi, loco moco and so much more. Everything we bought was okay. The musubi was probably the best. SERVICE: The lady at the register was so rude. She didn't know what the special was even though it was clearly printed on the sliding door. The manager was no better. 0/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I heard such good things about the 7-11s in Hawaii. We are 7-Eleven lifers. Known for their musubi and slurpees of course. Trust me Hawaii 7-Elevens are nothing like the mainland, I assure you. Anyhow, this particular location IS NOT a typical 7-Eleven. It is so poorly run, it's pathetic. They were out of musubis in the warmer so when I asked the clerk (1 of 5 there) she said we can grab from the cold section and warm them up ourselves in the microwave. Like really?! Lazy. Then we get to the slurpees, syrup everywhere, out it cups, out of lids. When asked if they had more, with attitude she went to the back and got it. Poor/lazy service, messy, and not the norm. Last gas station til kaaawa...lol or Kaneohe depending which way you're headed. This is usually our stop on our way to north shore. We load up on musubi, cone sushi, snacks, water and gas. Lots of parking, this store seems larger than most. Sanitizer station at the door, I like that. read more

There was a 7-Eleven at the beginning of Kaneohe, almost across from Hawaiian Memorial Cemetary. It closed down, and for a while, Kaneohe had no 7-Eleven. A couple of years ago, this 7-Eleven opened up across from Windward Mall - in the Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center. There are more parking stalls here, and more supporting businesses surrounding it, such as Longs, First Hawaiian Bank, and Safeway. It looks like it's a better, more convenient location. The friendly staff is helpful, polite, and efficient. At this busy location, they attend to the customers quickly and utilize both cash registers for merchandise and gasoline. The store seems smaller than other locations and the selection is more limited, but it serves its purpose. You can find items like hot manapua, cold drinks, snacks, chilled sushi, greeting cards, gifts, hot coffee, bagged ice, and Slurpees. I go daily when there's a contest for a free trip. I didn't win the Las Vegas one - the entry blanks were scarce. The current drawing is for a trip to New York! There are always entry blanks, so maybe this time, I'll win?? Hope so!! It was time to fill it up after driving around as were were on a mission to hit up Waiahole Poi Factory which was nearby. The ladies here are so cool, they make you feel like Ohana(family) Lady: "How you Bruddah?" Me: "Good Aunty, good...fill up on pump 2 please" On my way inside, I spotted a Huli-Huli Chicken stand in the distance, so I inquired about that as well... Me: "Aunty, Da Huli-Huli Chicken stand next door....what,...good??? Lady:" Oh yeah Bruddah...(nodding her head) da buggah(meaning the chicken) is ONO! Gotta go check 'em out" Me: "Mahalo Aunty!" It started out as The Southland Ice Company, became Southland Corporation, and in 1947 renamed for...you guessed it, the hours they were open, 7am to 11pm. In 1978 when I was born lol...ok ok when I was a cute and impressionable little girl, they opened their doors 24/7 and kept their catchy store name, 7-Eleven. Seven-Eleven Hawaii, Inc operates all the 7-Eleven stores in Hawaii under the umbrella of Seven & i Holding Co., Ltd. of Japan. 7-Eleven is where you get hooked up with Slurpees, the Big Gulp, chips, candies, hot dog, etc. and of course the locals favorite, the Spam Musubi! I'm only giving them three stars because sometimes when you have the munchies and they've run out of what you're craving, it's just so wrong! Also the entrances to the location can get congested, especially when you're trying to leave the busy corner of Kamehameha Hwy and Kahekili Hwy, where 7-Eleven is located. This is the only one in Kahalu'u and home to an Aloha Gas Station. There are no other gas stations around within a three mile radius so if you're heading out for a drive towards Polynesian Cultural Center's direction, better stop in, gas up and satisfy those snack cravings. read more

Last week, I had asked this employee for some help and she gave me attitude and said to ask the girl at the register(that is already helping a customer) to stop what that girl is doing to help me because she's busy cooking. I got her name from her name tag that day, I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right but her name is Lavon. Couple weeks before that, my husband had went into the store to get gas. Mind you, there was a long line according to my husband and only had one person on register, running it by herself while there was 10 people in line. I tried complaining to the employees about her but they had told me to call HR. So I figure a YELP review could help somehow. We won't be coming back to this 7-eleven for a while. Lavon has POOR customer service and the ONLY employees I see that is working hard is the Assistant Manager with the flower in her ear and the other 2 girls that's cooking, sweeping and moping, making coffee, wiping down counters and running register. read more

This review is actually for the gas station that is connected to this 7-11. The main issue I have is that prior to you dispensing gas, the screen will ask if you want a receipt. The problem is that after you finish pumping gas, you need to go INSIDE to get your receipt. The first time this happened, I thought the pump I was using was defective. But after it happened the second time and after using a different pump, I figured this was the norm. This is bad service towards customers just finishing pumping gas, and also towards incoming customers that now need to wait for you as you go inside. Today was really bad as there seemed to be a large amount of people wanting to fill gas. I hope the owners of this 7-11 read this and improve on this process so that in the end they can service as many customers as they can instead of having them wait unnecessarily. read more

7-Eleven returning to Kaneohe was a good thing. Original location shut down without a replacement was hard to accept. Now it has returned located closer to my house and with lots of parking. Great place to pickup musubis, coffee, and now even lunch. Their selection of food keeps expanding. I'm always trying something new to eat there. read more

This place is one of my regular gas stops but they don't take Am Ex. The last 3 or 4 times, there hasn't been paper in the pump printers so I have hade to go inside to get my receipt. Sucks that it wastes 3 to 5 min out of my life to go into the store and wait for a piece of paper I could have gotten outside if the workers hadn't been so lazy as to not refill the printers. Not sure if it was the time of day but they have a lot of boxes in the tight aisles. Place is a bit messy and questionable on cleanliness dept. The gas price wasn't bad, the musubi I purchased and ate wasn't too shabby and the drink i purchased was nothing one would cry home to mom about. Agreed, I'm soooo happy there is a 7-11 in Kaneohe! I wish there were back closer to Likelike, but this location will do. It's a bit small, and the setup they have with 2 entrances (1 that block a line to the register) is really weird. read more

We stopped at this 7-11 after an afternoon of touring the North shore. The kids were disappointed by the slurpee selection (lack of choice and watery consistency) ... the parents enjoyed the coffee and in the end everyone's needs were met. read more

I'm so sorry that I made your experience so bad Mr.Kohl's but for one. policy is that if someone comes in and dint have their id I cant sell you the cigarettes and what you all do not understand is that there is cameras that saw the car outside the store and the cameras inside the store. That watch ever thing we do and give close ups to the people we serve. when your mother came out of the car and ask for the same cigarettes. I was not allowed to give it to her because of older adults coming in and buying cigs for kids( for example : the kids come in ask for cigs and get denied because of their age and they go around the corner or ask someone they know to come in and buy it for them. That's near by and that's and illegal sale if I proceed to sale it to them and I just saw the child ask the person or go back to the car and someone else comes out and ask for the same cigs . That's when people end up in jail and companies get fined. at that point in time anyone that has contact with that child verbally I cannot sale to them. plus, the cameras that my boss and cor prate reviews closely that nite I would have been fired and my co worker was there. He told me after you all had left I did the right thing. so plz I understand, she was upset but I had already been drilled about let ppl go with out carding. and I'm sorry for that if it had of been my store. I would of given it to you because I would of not care . I am writing about the 7-11 in Kahaluu, but it seems some other Yelpers here have written about the one in Kaneohe town in K-Bay shopping Center across from Windward Mall. The Kahaluu store is a huge improvement on the old store, which was tiny and had some ladies working there who seemed more into their behind the counter activities, than in serving customers. But nice change now that the store has been razed and rebuilt. It is bigger and brighter with more to offer. I love getting the Diet A&W Root Beers for a buck each! And when the craving strikes for spam musubi, can go anytime now. The hot food offerings are expanded and include egg rolls, potato wedges, and my favorite pepperoni pizza, which can be purchased by the slice or as a whole pie. They have For Real milkshakes and smoothies at this store, but still haven't tried - lots of flavors but if you're counting carbs just stay away! I like that they still provide some healthy stuff amongst the junk food, such as salads, containers of cut veggies and fruits. The new cashiers are very customer service oriented, always friendly and polite, they make the last touches of your visit there end on a sweet and happy note! And this is the only gas station between Kaneohe town and Kaaawa 7-11 so it's a busy stop for many who are filling up their tanks and grabbing some food and drinks for the ride up north. I am a lifelong fan of 7-11, they are there when I need them, or at least there when I crave them! read more
