They offer a few different sandwiches and musubis that I have not seen at the Kalihi-Palama locales. I picked up a Spicy Garlic Butter Spam Musubi and it was very good. Any local who isn't a vegetarian/vegan has tried a few different types of spam . The sauce made for a messy eating experience but it was worth it. It is mire messy than spicy...don't wear white when you eat this musubi. Clean store that has decent service...even if I utilize mobile checkout via their proprietary app.

In search of Fish Musubi…read more.. My friend, Ray, told me about the yummy Fish Musubi at 7-Eleven. So far, I haven't seen it in Kaneohe or Kahaluu. I even went to one 7-Eleven on the other side of Kailua - kind of by Kalaheo High School. Today's 7-Eleven is the first one you see as you drive from Honolulu on the Pali Highway to Kailua - on the right side of the road, right behind the Aloha Gas Station. It's quite busy here because of its location. There were customers standing in line, 6 feet apart, as two cashiers were doing their best to ring everyone up efficiently. I checked for the fish musubi, but there were none. I asked the cashier about it and she told me that they don't have many and the shipment comes in the early morning hours. I'll just have to return at 5am! Anyway, this busy store has the usual convenience items, cold beverages, yummy snacks, and "to go" hot foods. I got a lup cheong manapua (steamed bun with Chinese sausage filling). The ratio of bun to sausage was perfect because the sausage was on the salty side. The soft bun helped to balance out the flavor! So, I will be back for that Fish Musubi... and a Taro Manju... and peanutbutter mochi... and maybe a candy lei for a birthday or graduation when Social Distancing is over...

Overcharged and extremely rude! The "lead" lady named Lorna,…read morewas first rude when I was interested in purchasing two birthday balloons for my father's 79th birthday. Beside being rude, when I was being rung up by the nice cashier, Lorna came over and thought the cashier was incorrectly ringing up the balloons. Lorna went on to be rude and insulting to the cashier saying "you cannot make up your own prices" which she wasn't, she was actually scanning the price sheet provided to the at the register. She rang two different prices for two different ballon sizes which is correct. The mean lady Lorna insisted it was incorrect and tried to charge me $18.99 for a circle ballon that clearly stated "shaped or cut out ballon" on the sheet. How can a lead be so blind. Anyways, the cashier explained the price difference and still the "lead" had to much pride to even admit she was wrong. Lorna went even further and said "well u want me to charge you $18.99?" Which she clearly knows was incorrect. Who's making up their own prices now??? Long story short, she over charged me by charging the higher price for two different balloon sizes where it was clear as day that it wasn't right to do so. Please beware of Lorna who likes to make up her own prices, likes to talk down to employees and customers and who needs to smile if she wants to be in any customer service roll. She also lingered at the register to make sure we were overcharged dispite other customers asking for assistance in the photo area. She made them wait and basically ignored them because she was wrong and couldn't admit it. May be time to find her a better position in the back of the store where she will not be giving Longs a bad wrap. I'd like to make longs a part of my day, but def not when a mean, untrained Lorna is working.

Keeping your ride clean really isn't the easiest for me especially when your garage isn't as close or convenient spot to get it all done as some drive thru places that does offer vacuum combo is the best it can get pricey especially during rough weather season which can basically be year round depending on what part of the island you live. Luckily some Texaco has Car Wash though it is completely self service you drive in and park as the machine moves around your car is different along with different types of wash from Express $15, Deluxe $17 and Ultimate $20 which surprised me to see the higher prices wash versus some other locations and assume is because they went through a long renovation that resulted in the increased price. Nevertheless it does get your ride clean though the air dry works to a point if you stay long enough but for me I usually drive to the side and this location is big enough for you to park and work on your car if you decided for vacuum or what I do is dry off some of the wet spots. Also if you fill up (8+ gals) your gas there you get $2 off your wash so fill up before you wash up. Thank you!
