A majority of attendants working at gas stations tend to be so busy that most of us don't expect much from them in terms of customer service and that "customer service" experience tends to go by the wayside. The constant revolving of door of customers coming and going makes it difficult for them to really "serviced" us when one is usually there for such a short period of time. It is essentially a "transactional" experience at best when we have to quickly stop to pay for gasoline. We can agreed gas stations serves its purpose; it is a place where we stop to refill our tanks and every so often, serendipitous grab a snack or two during the stopover. There are exceptions to this rule and the Chevron gas station located at the intersection corner of Kailua and Kuulei Roads is such an exception when the need arises for interactions with the attendants.
The level of customer service here (so far) I considered superior to many gas stations. Employees working at this location are so nice, courteous and they genuinely tries to help you. I like stopping in this gas station for their automated drive-thru car wash service when I'm in the area. I was quite impressed with the staff and how good they were with questions. On more than several occasions where I had to stop in, parked and get out of the car to get either a re-coded car wash or pump gas, they were not unpleasant stops. What struck me the most is there you will not get attitude from the employees but rather, they do help you when the need arise for their assistance.
Gasoline quality under the Chevron brand at this gas station is good and reliable since it contains their signature Techron fuel injector cleaning agents. Setup here is bright and clean with numerous driveways in and out. It's convenient when you're in a hurry and tries to 'hele" onto your destination. The only "harried" thing about this place (as with any corner section of a busy 4-way traffic intersection) is the speed of things happening so fast and everything seems to be in constant motion here. However, this intersection is very big so things do take a little longer than normal. Entire lot of this station is big and as a result, parking space availability is more than ample. A bonus too since they do have a 24-hour operation; although all is very quiet here in Kailua town after ten o'clock at night.
As a convenient store too, this place is well stocked with all those tempting packaged "goodies" a motorist or pedestrian would want when on the go. I, on the other hand, have avoided walking past those automated sliding doors for fear of loading up on those eye-popping candy bars coupled with those cold "perk-me-up" sugary bottled drinks calling my name. The mind and hand plays a good trick when you're pumping gas and the urge to grab these "convenient" foods is almost, always irresistible...LOL...but I persevered many times in the past but every once in awhile, the will-power is quite weak...weak...sigh. If I could just stick to taking care of my business of refiling my tank or just drive straight into the car wash bay without getting out of my car, I would be all good. read more
