Well long time of coming here over 5 years. While they don't have everything you'll find mostly what you need for how small this location is. The people who work here I see and talk to all the time and they are friendly and will always ask how you are doing. They have different things to eat and drink both hot and cold on both ends. I will say you may have trouble parking depending on the time of day you come here but other than that it's a good location with easy access especially if walking. My family had a taste for slurpees so we drove to this 7 Eleven. The sign on the door said open until midnight. It was 11:45 pm. The store clerk today was incredibly rude to me - it was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. After asking for $6 in lotto tickets, I tried to pay with a card - all 3 cards were declined, and when I looked to the teller, he just shrugged his shoulders. The very nice customer behind me said, "I think you need to pay cash for those." Why didn't the teller say anything?? It was so strange. I took a step back to get out the way of the customer behind me and the teller literally screamed at me, "Hey! I have three lotto tickets" while he waved them around. He was incensed, as if me (and my 2 year old) were trying to rob him. I was shocked at his demeanor and said, "I don't have any cash, sir," and he said, "That's not my problem!" I said that I needed to use an ATM, and he yelled, "Well, we have one here!" I went to the ATM but was shocked by how rude he was. I am a petite woman, I was there with a stroller and a child- I don't know if he was having a bad day, if he's racist, if he hates women, all of the above... this is my neighborhood store but I will never be back and I will tell all my friends and neighbors to do the same. It used to be that you could buy lotto tickets with a card. Then 7-11 only let you buy lotto tickets with a card if you buy something else. I go to this 7-11 as I support Albany business. It has never been a pleasant experience at this store. Tonight I experienced the worst customer service in my life time. I went in to purchase 3 items and was charged for 4 items. There were people waiting and a bit crowded so I left the store as I check my receipt. When I was out the door I saw that I was charged for a soda I didn't buy so I went back in hoping to get a refund.There was an another order on the counter when the cashier was scan my purchase and I believe he scanned the soda from another order on the counter. Told him that might be what happened and he denied it. Thats okay, I just want a refund for something I didn't buy. He refused to acknowledged that maybe a mistake was made and resolve the issue. He ask to see my receipt then took it crumple it up and said it was not my receipt. It was someone else's he said. I was accuse of not paying and was told to leave my purchase or pay for them again despite my receipt showing an approved transaction. The cashier was extremely confrontational and rude. I kept explaining to him to no avail He insisted I didn't pay and I was told to leave. It was when I said I am calling the police as I paid $29 and was left with nothing. He then angrily said he will give me "his" money. It was somewhat traumatic. I never got the refund as I did not want "his" money, I just wanted my money back for something I didn't buy. He made a mistake and took no accountability then accused me of walking out without paying . Pretty crazy. Open 24 hours! This is the place to go after midnight! I sometmes work through the night, and at 3 or 4AM I'll find myself NEEDING a Slurpee. The nicest guy in the world works the graveyard shift here. The first time I came in at 3AM, he asked me, in a very concerned voice, why I was awake at that hour. One time he asked me if I was OK (I was a little tired...), and told me that I could tell him if I wasn't. The other workers are really friendly when I come at other times. I like this one because they generally have both of my favorite Slurpee flavors, cherry and blue raspberry. They usually have the day's newspaper. The Pepsi never seems to work, though. read more

I write to praise the employees, all of whom have been friendly and have tried to be helpful during my weekly afternoon visits. I frequent this location several times a week as it is on the same street with my salon. Today the gentleman named VIK was rudely abrupt with ringing my sons transaction. He wanted to use the app and I witnessed him opening his phone he told him it's too late. Come on what's the hurry part of using the app is is pulling it up on the phone. I hate when 7 eleven advertises shit on the windows that they don't even have in the store, it's just annoying. I tried to get a sandwhich advertised on the front window and the guy looked at me as if insane. Take the dam ad down if you don't carry the product. I just needed a quick bite. Rating this place because it is clean, they are exceptionally friendly and it has a good vibe. More so than other 7-11s.

Even though this store is a little more than a block from my home I have stopped going there after being a daily customer for years. Here's why: This 7-11 used to have a friendly and helpful crew. They knew me by sight and were always cheerful and gracious to the customers. Then about a year ago (maybe longer...time means nothing to me. I'm retired) the store changed hands. The new owner is great and really went out of her way to make sure that a couple of items I got there regularly were stocked - she even brought in a brand of beer at my request. I have absolutely no complaints about the new owner. The crew was another matter. Surly, rude and totally unprofessional. They would ignore me until the last possible minute - they were either on the phone, rummaging around behind the counter, talking to each other or poking around on some handheld device and would make me stand at the counter with my purchase, unacknowledged, until they'd finally deign to ring me up. More than half the time I went in there was no one at the register and often there would be a confused-looking customer standing at the counter waiting to make a purchase. The crew members would be somewhere else in the store - I's here them talking to each other or on a cell phone. Finally someone would say "Hello?" or "Anyone here?" and they'd saunter over to ring them up. I ignored them for a long as I could - after all, I'm just buying stuff, not making friends - but I always left feeling like I'd just been insulted. Finally one day I went in to find a customer standing at the register while 2 of the crew members were joking with each other and ignoring her. I picked up my items and stood behind the customer. The clerks made to move to help us. After waiting a bit I got fed up and said "I'm tired of being ignored by you guys", put my items back and left. I have not been back since. I just got tired of their "fuck you" attitude. I walk the extra block to Safeway. I need to point out again that the new owner is a very nice, friendly and professional. But her crew acts like they'd rather be somewhere else. I can even understand that. After all, it's not a cushy job.I simply got tired of being ignored or glowered at. The store seems to be doing fine, so the couple of dollars I spent there every day won't be missed....I don't even know if good service is expected at a 7-11. This location usually has high school kids out front. It reminds me of the movie "Suburbia". It's not as creepy as some other 7-11s, and no one has ever asked me for change out in the parking lot, so I kinda like this one. read more

At some point there seems to have been a turnover of ownership. It's gone downhill customer service wise. It is my opinion that if someone comes to your counter at 5:30a.m. you should probably stop stocking and help them as they are most likely on their way to work. Also, it is preferable if you wear plastic gloves as you put the taquitos (or whatever those nasty things are) upon the rollers to cook, especially after you just opened the garbage can flap with the same hands. my family and I were bullied by the operators of the store today. I am so upset by their rude behavior I have half a mind to call the national office. I was minding my own business as my daughter (in a stroller) and I were looking in a cooler at beverages. all of a sudden a worker or owner comes up right behind me and starts yelling in Pakistani at his employee right in my ear. I decide to move so as I am pulling the stroller out to get out of his way he decides he can't wait the extra 10 seconds it will take me to move and tries to step over the front of the stroller and kicks it ( with my 9 month old in it) and totally scares her. not only do I not get any immediate reaction or apology he seems to think that I some how owe him one. Went in for a quick snack before work. There were two clerks one was with a delivery man the other was behind the counters in the back of the store. The one back there milled around for a while walk past me and went and talked to the guy with the delivery man went back to the back of the store milled around some more came back to where the delivery guy was with the other Clerk. Now I know that when deliveries come that they're on a limited schedule so that the clerks have to deal with them however this guy was blatantly ignoring me so when he went to the back of the store again milled around some more and then came past the register area to go back to the guy who was delivering I said excuse me could you take my money I'm trying to get to work. The clerk came behind the counter took my money but never acknowledged me. This is my local 7-Eleven but I won't be going back. read more

Absolutely great store , one of the best ones in the Bay Area , it's very clean and nice, the items are always stocked, and there aren't any homeless ppl around begging, the employees are very friendly and the NEW owner Is a woman and she is very very friendly and always has a smile on her face and greets anyone she sees, the staff makes you feel welcome, I wish I could rate it more than a 5, GREAT 7-11 !!! read more

I recently went into this store simply to get a Gatorade with a couple of my friends. The drink costed a little more than $2 and I had $4 in my hand when I walked up to the cash register. I gave the worker $3 and he tried to hide one of the dollars I have him, telling me I needed to give him the other dollar in my hand. I argued with him for about a minute and he finally gave in. I can't speak for all of them but this one worker is a crook. I have yet to call the management but will do soon. read more
