Pan Seared Herb Encrusted wild Salmon was Delicious, as well as the roasted carrot puree (Amazing)! Chef's seasonal vegetable was smooth. Now as for the Japonica rice, it's definite acquired taste, not to my liking but I asked if they would substitute for fried rice but no can do. At least Brandon inquired vise saying no. 2nd time here and the food is Phenomenal! My husband and I sampled almost the entire menu and everything was amazing! This restaurant serves tapas style entrees which makes it easy for sharing and sampling the menu. Beautiful presentation of food and service is great! Casual, Hip, Delicious! Finally...something new! We stopped by for our second visit and had brunch this time. This spot is just plain stylish. The brunch menu is very interesting and unique, just what we were looking for after being bored with some of the more mundane choices around town. Free Mimosa??? Whuuut??? I had The Basic which is a avocado toast evolved. Two pieces of thick crusty homemade bread topped with avocado mash, tomato bacon jam and a soft boiled egg. It was totally legit! I dove into it and ate one piece before I realized I should take a picture of it for this review. The wife had the frittata of the day with asparagus and prosciutto which I only got one bite of...she wouldn't let me have any more! She loved it! Set inside a classic craftsman home on Ormond's main drag it's vintage and cozy but cool. Outdoor spaces are the only place to be when the sun goes down or when the summer heat turns down a notch. The owners clearly and carefully thought out every detail. We will be regulars for sure. read more

Beautiful spot in downtown Ormond Beach! Right on Granada. Parking in the back which was super! Walked through an adorable little secret garden type outdoor seating lit with Edison lights. Set the mood perfect. Sat on the porch which has a bench seating in a corner which was super chill and comfy. Lots of couch areas and random tables to sit at outside... very modern. We were greeted promptly... offered water or cucumber water we opted for cucumber water was so good!!! Got a bottle of "Bog ass red" super good for the cost etc! Server was a sweetie , Danielle. Let us take our time. We ordered the charcuterie board and 2 bao buns. The cheese board was phenomenal ... PHENOMENAL! I didn't expect such a spread and I was very impressed it was so good and randomly tasty with things from olives to star fruit , duck prosciutto, Gorgonzola cheese, wine infused cheese, dill havarti, sweet soppressata, and fog jam and much more even a honeycomb! Came with crackers and enough bread crostini's perfect! Bao buns were unreal too... Salmon with dill cream and cucumber... sorta like a salmon salad mashed up it was so good! Then the fried pork belly was like bbq and had fried onions on it! Ahhhh I wanna go back right now!! Quality is worth the wait. I had a beet salad which was amazing. Our servers were very courteous to keep us posted. It's best to make reservations here. I had the espresso martini, the chicken bao buns, a sushi roll, and an oyster shooter. They also have cucumber water. All of the food was good. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy. Absolutely amazing and I wish I'd gone sooner but one of their family members was disparaging them. They had a sushi/Asian restaurant down in South Daytona Port Orange area that went under. The family member did. May be jealous. Anyway the food was absolutely delightful and we will be back sooner than later. No wonder they get five stars. They deserve it. A dear colleague of my wife suggested this restaurant on the last day of our vacation. I don't know how we did not know about this beforehand as we had driven past it several times, and eaten almost directly across the street. Anyway, this was a memorable meal. We ordered the Mediterranean Flat Bread as an appetizer, that alone made our night. The preserved lemon, along with the eggplant spread, tomatoes, feta, AND mint was a wakeup call to our taste buds. How could this go better? Well I'm about to tell you. Sovereign offers bite/beer/wine specials from 9 to close on Friday/Saturday nights. Tonight they offered a Thai Gazpacho, basically a gazpacho soup with coconut and Thai herbs, what a soup! So light, refreshing, and Spanish/Thai. Next we ordered two Bao Buns which had beer battered shiitakes, scallions, and ginger soy. Again, a huge flavor bomb for our senses. We had a side Caesar salad that was larger than expected, but again delicious. Our waiter tempted us with dessert and we succumbed to their Mamaw's Peanut Butter Pie. I was expecting a wallop of sugar, but this was not overbearingly sweet and quite delicious even with the whipped cream that I had passed on but was encouraged to try by my wife. She was right, it turned out perfect. All in all, this is a huge gem and wonderful end to our vacation in Ormond Beach, FL, we definitely would come back her often if we lived here and will if we ever return. read more

Tonight was our first experience at 63 Sovereign. We arrived, ordered drinks, appetizers and our main dishes. We were promptly served our drinks but one hour and 15 minutes later, we had not received one morsel of food. Eventually, after the waiter asked us to remain patient, one of the ppl in our party went inside to inquire about the delay. He was standing outside the kitchen and someone inside told him to "get out of the kitchen!" After being spoken to so rudely and aggressively by whomever was in the kitchen, we left the restaurant. We were happy to move on to RoseVilla restaurant several doors down where we have always received prompt, amazing service. Came here March 11, 2020 around 7:30-ish. This is when Corona Virus was just starting to become bigger than we thought. Restaurants were still open though. I came with my husband, brother, and sister-in-law. We ordered so much food. Lots of appetizers since it's a Tapas set up, salad, an entree, dessert, glasses of wine and a bottle of wine. We all split everything and had a family style meal. We were the only guests there so we had the chef all to ourselves. It was probably a dream come true for any guest and the food was spectacular. We've heard this place is good but boy we weren't expecting this. Everything was on point and delicious. Awesome service as well. ORDERED Many of: - Bao Bun Duo - Beer Battered Zucchini - Mojo Pork Belly - Winter Salad - Many others.... PROS: - ambiance is great. Cute little restaurant made out of a craftsman's home - menus was really great. This was one of the better restaurants near the beach. It looks like a house turned into a restaurant. It had a cute atmosphere. We ordered the KFC. It was fried with dry seasoning sprinkled on them. We've really been wanting to eat here. Great food in a great location, ample self parking...a friendly vibe. We sat at the end of the bar right next to the bartender, Rachel, who was fun and entertaining to watch. I got the impression that she made up one of the drinks I was considering; it was a great recommendation. I've gotta say though, the 2 $$ cocktails I ordered were far, far too weak. I wanted and expected to be impressed after going through their crafty cocktail menu, at length. I liked my tasty concoctions that promised creativity in writing, BUT...I had to ask for an important missing part-of-the-drink/garnish for one and an entirely overlooked liquid ingredient in another...? We also watched her make the drinks for an order that came through for 2 of the same cocktail. They contained cranberry juice yet looked so different from one another we couldn't believe she sent them out, especially to the same table - one was deep red while the other sported a simple light pink hue. We bet money they'd come back, surprisingly they didn't. Now I'm honestly not trying to trash Rachel, she's quite personable and I love how she "cheers" you as she places your drink in front of you, even my husbands beer, while also keeping up with the servers needs. I'm simply hoping for improvement and consistency, certainly more bang for our buck. The bar was a fun place to sit, watching everyone kept us busy - this wasn't our first date lol. And I really liked the option she gave us of the cucumber infused water over plain, now that was yummy!!! The Burger and Fries rocked, as did my Ceviche. The burger was nicely sized and just as important, cooked just right (he orders well done) for my husband yet still tasty!...go figure. Later that night I put the half he brought home along with the fries in the air fryer, they were great! The sushi was tasty but ordinary, same ol same ol. I'll skip it going forward, there's too many other options on my wish list. We will certainly try again, ordering a bit differently this time as there are several menu items we'd both like to try. Hope to up my rating in the future and make it a reliable go-to for us and our house guests. read more

I dined at this lovely restaurant this evening and it was so delicious that I went back and got takeout for my husband who was at home with our kids. I only had appetizers but was so impressed with the obvious love for good food put into it. I'm still giving 5 stars but there was just one thing that irked me a bit. There was a young man working who occasionally was making drinks and delivering food orders who wasn't wearing a mask.... it's strange times I know but good food for thought. We preferred the salmon and shrimp bao over the Korean bbq - which was surprising.
