Worst bodyshop I have ever encountered. This place is a joke. Save yourself the time, money and frustration. On 11/15/21 My car was involved in a minor accident where the back bumper was damaged. Brought the car in the next day and spoke with Victor. We looked over the damage and agreed that only OEM parts will be used. On 1/11/22 I saw that credit card was charged $1,5XX.XX for the car rental. I called my insurance only to find out they only covered the rental thru 12/17/21 as it shouldn't take this long for repairs. The insurance adjuster also notified me that Victor couldn't even provide them with the parts invoice. That meant parts were not even ordered yet. On 1/18/22, I finally received a call from them stating my car was ready for pickup. When I got there I see dust in the paint and horrible orange peal. The bumper edges had dried paint drips, rear taillight and trunk were misaligned. Inside my trunk, trim pieces and screw were missing. I also found what seemed to be either dried paint or plaster on my back seats. To top it off, they put a aftermarket bumper on even tho we agreed to only use OEM parts. I hate to admit it, but I flipped out. They had the nerve to say that my car was like that when I brought it in. Please keep in mind I know my car very well and can guarantee my car was not like that. Especially when victor and I checked the car when I first brought it in. As victor was not in the office that day, I had to speak with him over the phone about it. He told me to bring the car back another day and they would fix everything. As I had just returned the rental prior to going to the bodyshop, I had no choice but to take the car back. I made an appointment with Victor to bring the car back the following Monday. I even confirmed with him on Friday. Come Monday morning, I bring the car to the shop only to have Victor tell me they can't work on the car today and to come back another day. If they couldn't do it, why didn't they give me a call instead of having me take a day off work and driving all the way there? At this point, I was seriously furious regarding the poor communication and lack of professionalism. On 2/1/22, I finally got my car back looking normal, but only to find out the bumper is still aftermarket and one of the trim pieces in the trunk is still missing. After 2 months of me following up and hearing lame excuses from victor, I finally had enough and drove to the shop to complain. And guess what, the missing trim piece arrived that afternoon on 4/12/22. When I complained about them giving me an aftermarket bumper which was agreed upon t the very beginning, Victor stated that the "bumper is already done and they will not redo it. And that I can't do anything about it since it was verbal and nothing was written down." To add oil to the flame, on 5/23/22 I find out that they had gotten a ticket on my car on 12/7/21 and didn't even tell me. The ticket was still unpaid and outstanding getting late fees. Shady businesses -- must be fake reviews from friends/family. Had a horrible experience here where I needed a minor repair done on the bumper of my car. The job took ~2 months with very little communication in between. Continued to give excuses and when the car was finally ready to be picked up, I showed up and had to wait 3 hours. The delay was because "the car was at the car wash". I told him I needed to drop off the rental that I was using in the interim and he said that he would have someone pick me up from the car rental place. I waited 3 hours at Enterprise and just decided to take a cab to his shop instead. I was also charged A WHOLE MONTH for renting the car which I was told the shop would work with the insurance company to get these costs reimbursed. After weeks of getting the runaround, I finally spoke to someone at Geico who was nice enough to reimburse me. This place needs to be investigated. Shady business practices and scumbag owner/workers. I don't write reviews often on Yelp, but I felt compelled to this time around since these guys don't have that many. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place. My car broke down last Thursday in Manhattan and I had to get it towed to a shop for repair. I depend on my car a lot to get around and for work so this was pretty devastating. I never heard of 63 Auto before and only found them through Yelp, but after having two places not even pick up my calls, I decided to give them a ring (they were pretty far away). This was probably the best decision I made that day. The people there are great! Katherine, the receptionist, told me I could bring my car in right away and that they would make time for me. They had a lot of cars that they were working on but they still managed to squeeze me in because of my predicament. Victor even took 30 mins of his time to explain what he thought might be wrong with my car and Andy helped me settle everything with the tow truck driver. Unfortunately because of how many cars they were working on, they weren't able to get to mine that day, but promised to get to it as soon as possible. I called them the next day and they told me that the car is ready to be picked up. Apparently it was just a minor issue with the battery. Being in NY, I was expecting a pretty pricey bill at the end of it all but was pleasantly surprised by how honest they were! No upcharge whatsoever, which is rare in NY. If you're on the fence about this shop because of the reviews, I can wholeheartedly recommend them as the place to go in Brooklyn (at least from my experience). read more

This is definitely on one of the best auto body shops with no hassles and are straight forward. I came in for a broken tail light. Pretty small fix. Went in, then checked it out and have me my options. I chose my option, was provided expected cost and time to get done and I was on my way. I left knowing what is going on, how much I had to pay and what is getting done. Everything was clear. I was helped by Victor and he answered all my questions and concerns with no hesitation. I got my taillights done as expected. The auto body even hooked me up and helped with the my car body as well. Once done I was charged the amount as promised, and left with a new tail light and a nicer car. Victor its a great guy walking me through the steps on what needed to be done and explaining the process along with updates. Gentleman and no problem with him. Dropped the car off to paint the rear quarter panel due to a deep scratch. They did a very good job with the work and cleaning it up. However, i am little bit disappointed on his partner driving the car(not going to announce his name, but may be the owner). I guess the person did not know I had a dash cam live recording. The guy was driving pretty rough and unsafe around the neighborhood. Also note that the engine may have been cold as well. They were caught by surprise when they found out there was a dash cam recording. I dont mind them driving around, as long they respect the owners car and drive safe. I heard good reviews from friends who had work done here. My car was hit from a guy who reversed into my fender and front bumper. I was quoted around $5k for everything including labor and parts. Victor and PJ both told me that the process would take about a week. They assured me many things but nothing real. It ended up taking almost 4 weeks. Victor would text me once every few days to update me on "what they were doing" and to apologize that it was taking (much, much, much) longer than quoted. Instead of working on my car, they prioritize nicer and luxury cars first, despite when they had arrived at the shop. I had almost missed a work trip because they took so long to finish the repairs. Not only did they take 4x as long, they left my car to get ticketed and they offered to pay for the ticket but never did. Not only did they not pay for it, they told me late and the ticket ended up getting additional fees. They were negligent in their work as well and it showed almost immediately. It was the best decision I ever made. Andy Khan is a real gem to work with. He is responsive, knowledgable, and super honest. The staff was so smiley and professional from the moment we pulled up. They were very knowledgeable about the insurance claims process and about out Jeep Grand Cherokee. My car was broken into and the criminals shattered my rear passenger window, broke the rear passenger shade attached to the window, and crackedthe front passenger window. I was furious and pissed of because I don't know who did it, and angry at the money I would have to come out of pocket. After I made a police report, I called the dealer where u got my car and instead of telling me to come to the dealer body shop, one of the sales guy referred me to PJ at 63 auto body. I had to go through insurance since I was sure the rear shade was going to cost a lot to repair. PJ was nothing but professional, and I was able to bring my car that same day so it wouldn't sit in the rain on the street. The shop actually handled the insurance inspection, and payments from insurance. They got my car ready for me by the time I came back from out of town, and the car was as good as new. I was highly satisfied with the service and repair from these guys and will recommend anyone to go to them. We took our BMW to 63 Auto Body to get the rear bumper and left rocker molding fixed. A small job all considered. Victor and PJ provided a quote for a total of $582 discounted to $550. The cost for repairing just the bumper was quoted 6.4 hours @ $50/hour for a total of $320. Strangely enough, they recommended not to fix the rocker, since according to them, it will get damaged again during the winter! Actually the damage to the rocker molding was caused by a garage attendant. They said they would touch paint the rocker and make it look nice again, which did not happen. Not clear why they even provided a quote for both the bumper and the rocker then. Anyway, when we went to pick up the car, the bill was inflated from $320 to $400 just for the bumper and the rate was also inflated to $60 an hour. No indication of the amount of time spent, just the total and the hourly rate! On top of that they charged a credit card fee of 3%. I have reported 63 Auto Body to American Express about the fee that they gladly refunded it, and open an investigation in the process. The whole transaction was handled by my wife up to this point. When I personally paid them a visit, Victor kept saying that it was not worth it to fix the rocker molding and other not so minor scratches that I pointed out. Never seen an auto body turning business away in this fashion. Furthermore, when I explained to him the funny math about the bill he tried to BS me about their system being complicated. It was at that point that this genius and his assistant got a piece of my mind about the bill and the credit card fee. I would have gladly paid $550 for what it was quoted initially plus whatever would have cost to fix other minor or not so minor scratches and dents. These geniuses have accomplished instead to get a bad review on Yelp, being reported to American express and more trouble coming their way. By the way, have you noticed that several 5 star reviews on Yelp for 63 Auto Body are written by users with only one review just for 63 Auto Body? Suspicious, isn't it! Stay away from these geniuses! Update 11/4. PJ, you failed again to address the main points above: Did you provide a separate written quote for fixing just the bumber, if you thought that it would have been different from the initial quote? No, you did not. Did you quote, in the only quote we received, a cost of $320 to fix the bumber and then charge $400 instead? Yes, you did. Did you also state in the quote that the labor cost is $50/hour and then charge in the invoice $60/hour? Yes, you did. Did you provide a written work order, which is a normal practice, signed and authorized by the customer, where it is clearly listed the work that needs to be done and the cost? No, you did not. Do you have any written document signed by my wife that have authorized you to proceed to fix the bumper for $400 plus 3% credit card fee? No you don't! Did you arbitrarily charge a 3% credit card fee? Yes, you did. Did you indicate in the quote that credit card payments are subject to a 3% fee. No, you did not. Everything else is minutiae. Update 11/30. It got worse, if possible! After two weeks the repair job was done, a crack appeared on the top of the bumper, not on the back but on the top! I am attaching pictures. I read other reviews (among the hidden ones) of people complaining about cracks on the paint. I went back to their shop and show to them how incompetent they are. They did not take responsibility for the poor job they did and instead they made up a story that my wife must have hit something with the bumper guard on, which is false, and it still would not explain the crack in the paint on the top of the bumper. I never had a crack on the top of any bumper of any car I owned, even when my bumper was hit and damage was caused on the back. By the way, I asked the opinion from a very reputable and well-known BMW mechanic in NYC who also has a body shop. The verdict was that 63 Auto Body did a very poor job! My car's rear bumper had so many dent marks that it's starting to accumulate from parking in the streets. I was recommended to put on a paint protection film (PPF) after some buffing work on the bumper. This worked like a top grade screen protector but for cars. The best part is having to keep the original cosmetic look rather than having to install a bumper guard. 10/10 would recommend to others. read more

Brought a high-end used car from a Brooklyn dealer to Victor to check whether it had been painted/bodyworked, based on calling him earlier from my home in NJ. He had little time to spare but was willing to go around the car, pointing out the few places he noticed that it had been sprayed. He also showed me what he looks for (dust in the paint, overspray, etc.). The car had LF fender & RR quarter panel spray, likely by two different shops because quality was different. Not a regular shop, with about three decades of experience, first job they did for me was in 1999. Since then, it has changed, but only for the positive... this place actually has a clean and professional customer/client sofa area with snacks, coffee, cold water bottles, plus a friendly staff. - Now let's talk about the quality, here is where they win my loyalty. Just by seeing the work area from the windows from the waiting area, you can see it is very clean, well lit and staffed. The in house PPG paint booth is very impressive as well, which not all collision shops have. When you drive up to this automotive body shop, from outside and in of the shop, it's like a scene from the movie: The Fast And the Furious (they get that a lot). You will see pampered cars such as; BMW M4, Nissan GTRs, well equipped and designed Mitsubishi Evolutions, custom Benz S550, and so on without the cheesy Honda Civics (no offense). Why? The quality is up to par, and it shows with expensive cars who love this place. First off I'm so glad I found this place, its super convenient for me as I live only 10-15 mins away. Its also very close to the N train off new utrect so that was great for me when I dropped off my car. Great shop, great people. I wasn't sure what to expect since I've been a car owner for only less than a year and I was finally graced with the realization of how much it sucks to use street parking. This is why I can't have nice things...I won't get into all the details but short story an elderly neighbor swiped my car as he was parking. I find this place well reviewed on yelp and Google and decide what the hell...seems legit. When you first get to the shop you'll notice how clean everything is. The people are friendly and personable, they won't use salesmen tactics on you. They'll sit down and explain your charges and print out a neat invoice for you. After the price is decided and agreed upon, they'll give you an estimate on when you can come pick it up. I got my car back after 5 days, pretty good considering the job and how busy they were. Clean work, they even went out of their way to clean everything inside out. My headlights were a little old so they cleaned that too, totally unnecessary but very appreciated. A week goes by and the door that they worked on stopped opening from the inside. This has never happened before so I assumed something must have got loose or slipped off after they put the door back together. No big deal, I call the mechanic that helped me and he tells me to just bring it by. Yep, fixed it in minutes! They guarantee all their work, not sure if other body shops will say that. Someone sideswiped my door and tore off part of my fender and I didn't know where to take my car to get it repaired. A friend referred me to PJ at 63 Autobody and told me they do pristine work and they will take care of you from start to finish. And that is exactly what happened. I dropped off my car, PJ did a quick evaluation, got me into a loaner the same day, and a few days later delivered my car to me like nothing had happened to it in the first place. I believe a company's focus should be not only their work but also communication. Work may be great but if there's no communication would you return? And vice versa, if the communication is great but the work is shoddy would you return? I heard and read great reviews about 63 Auto body thus I brought my car in for both front and back damage.
